Making Christmas Cards Special with Quick Quotes!

Hi, Connie here with a couple of  Christmas cards using the new Holly Jolly Holiday Collection by Quick Quotes and just for fun, I printed out some Christmas cards, using a vintage photo, from my iP8720 Canon Printer Really happy with the results!

The card design is pretty simple.  Mat coordinating pattern paper to the cardstock base.  Shade with Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks (listed below).  Add a smaller piece of coordinating pattern paper to the card front, shade with the chalk inks and adhere to card front.  Mat die cut image on cardstock and adhere.

Stamp sentiment, using Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk ink, on cardstock and trim out.  Adhere to card front.  Add twine and small wooden embellishments.  The wooden embellishments are colored with Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks.  Colors beautifully!!!

I wanted to put a photo inside the card, so I came up with this (with the help of the iP8720 Canon Printer) ~

I got to playing around with the Image Garden (program that comes with the iP8720 Canon Printer) and made a card to go inside the created card.

I printed it in Gray ink on 4"x6" Canon photo paper.   Very easy and love the look!!!
Then I tried printing a vintage photo on cardstock ~

The trick on this one is to flip the photo (as shown in the top photo).  The cardstock size is 4"x10".  You will have a small margin
of paper to trim off.

I think certain family members will love these cards, so I will be printing more.

Supply list:
Quick Quotes: Holly Jolly Holiday Collection
Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks: Desert Sun, Barn Board, Cactus, Vanilla Cream and Midnight Confessions.
other:
iP8720 Canon Printer
Canon photo paper/High Gloss

Fall Fun with Quick Quotes!

Hi, Connie here with a Pumpkin inspired scrapbook page using Autumn Brilliance by Quick Quotes.  The photos were grouped by using the My Image Garden by Canon.  It comes with the iP8720 Canon Printer that I will be printing from.

I love scrapping the entire event on one page.  Sometimes it is to much but doing it this way I still get all the photo frames and cute faces all on one page.

The photos were grouped on 8x10 photo paper by Canon and printed out.  They were cut into photo strips and mounted on grey paper from the Autumn Brilliance collection.  The Image Garden program allows you to zoom in or zoom out, to catch cute moments that are in the photos.

Some of the pictures in these frames are close up images from the picture.  I really thought that was a super cool feature.  I loved that I was able to single out a cute face picture and the finger pointing to the sky.
The focal photo was printed out as a 4x6 and then matted with the grey paper from the Autumn Brilliance collection.

The embellishments were stamped out using Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks.
Supplies used:
Quick Quotes: Autumn Brilliance collection
Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks: Cool Grey, Kokomo, Midnight Confessions and Vanilla Cream
other:
Canon iP8720 printer and photo paper
Stamps: Lawn Fawn and Darkroom Door
Scrapbook Adhesives/foam squares
Alcohol markers
stickers

Tractor Time with Quick Quotes~

Hi, Connie here with a scrapbook page using the Secret Garden Collection by Quick Quotes.  The collection is full of bright and colorful paper designs, some bold and some soft.  I like the combination of both in a collection.

The photos are about a 3"x 3".  You can collage them on a 8" x 10" sheet of Canon Pro Platinum and print them out.  I used my Canon iP8720 printer for this.

The embellishments are created using stamps and Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk ink.

I stamped the images, on white cardstock, and then, using a Q-tip, colored in the images with Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks.  Trim each image out and they are ready to add to your scrapbook page.

Layer papers in the center of your page, add the photos and then decorate with the stamped images.
Title your page.  The letter stickers are colored with Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks.  Makes it so easy to have the color you need for your title.

Mason Jar Shaker Album by Clear Scraps~

Hi, Connie here with the Mason Jar Shaker Album by Clear Scraps.  I'm using it to showcase my new hobby of trying to grow Succulents.  Everyone says they are so easy, maybe so if you don't have 4 baby kittens that like to play in your potted plants.   The shaker albums come in several different shapes and cute styles.   So cute!!!!

My inspiration for this album was a place to showcase my Succulent plants and to share it with others.  That was before the kittens started playing in them.  I'm not giving up though, the Succulents are making a come back~
Instructions on putting together this cutie~

Try It Tuesday~ out dated phone books, keep em'!!!!

Hi guys!
A fun post today.  You know that stack of out dated phone books pull
a couple out before you get rid of the stack, trust me on this~

they are fun to craft with.  The tissue type paper covered in text make the thin dies
so easy to cut several layers at one time.  They are great for journal pages
and collage pages too.  I made vintage flowers !!!

Instructions:
1. Tear three to four pages out together (keep them together) and use a spray mist
 or ink to add color.

2. Heat dry to speed the process up. Add as many colors as you like.  Watercolors
 would be great too.

3. The half sheet made two complete flowers.  Each flower section has three layers.
Scrunch the layers up for more dimension.
4. Staple in the center, to hold the flower together. Shade with ink.

Supplies used:
out dated phone book
cardstock (for card base)
A Jillian Vance Design: Big Christmas Greetings, Sentimental Script, Leaves & Petals die and Pop Up Petals
Dylusions inks: Dirty Martini, Squeezed Orange, Post Box Red and Lemon Zest
Archival ink: Jet Black
Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk ink: Barn Red

Friday Challenge 91 with Quick Quotes~

Hi, Connie here with this months challenge.  You know I love photo strips, on scrapbook pages, so I got to thinking~what about photo strips on cards.  They are easy to make and look great on a card.
So let's do this~

Instructions for photo strips:
* First find a small stamp and get your Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks out, you will need them.

*Using white cardstock make swatches of ink down one side.
*Stamp your small image in the center of the color swatch.
*Punch the swatch out with a square punch.  can be 1" or 1 1/2" doesn't matter.
*Cut strips of paper from the Secret Garden collection (CN103) and then down the middle. See picture.
*Mount square swatches on white cardtsock and trim out into a strip.
*Add Secret Garden strip to each side of image strip.  Cut the strip at the length you need for the cards.
*Stamped sentiment using Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk ink.
*Adhere to card fronts.
*Decorate with twine and pearls.

The Secret Garden paper is so bright and vibrant, I thought I would try to scan them into my computer and print them out as note cards.

*You will need to flip the image so it comes out the right way.  I added a little ink splats and a hand made stamp at the bottom of the cards.  The white cardstock size is 6" X 12".   The Canon iP8720 printer was used for this.  The cards printed beautifully.  I will be doing this again!!!!

The scanned and printed out cards are slightly lighter in color but they look great. and will be gladly received by someone.

Paper Bag Pocket with Quick Quotes!

Hi, Connie here with a scrapbook page using the Secret Garden Collection by Quick Quotes.  This is a beautiful, bright collection with lots of fun colors.  So pretty!!

This page has a total of five pictures.  Three of which are in a pocket on the side of focal pictures.  All the pictures were printed on the iP8720 printer by Canon.

The pictures are 4"x6" in size.

The title was colored by the PowderPuff Chalk inks by Quick Quotes.  So fast and always look great!!!  The pocket, for the extra photos, is a paper bag.  Just secure the paper bag under the main focal point, leaving the bag opening to the outside.  By doing that you create a pocket for extra photos or journal notes.

The folded card holds the other three photos and the journal notes, that tell the story.  All were
printed out on the iP8720 Canon printer.

The card just tucks in the opening of the bag.  It is great for journal
 entries that are private also.

Products used:
Quick Quotes: Secret Garden Collection (coming soon)
Quick Quotes: Whistlin' Dixie chipboard die cuts (out of stock)
Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks: Capri Blue, Bermuda and Midnight Confession
Canon iP8720 Printer

other:
