Try It Tuesday~tart tins and dishes!

Hi guys!!
Thanks for stopping by for Try It Tuesday.  I haven't been regular on Tuesday
and I'm sorry for that.  Life has been coming at me pretty fast lately.  I have a cute project to share using some junkin' stuff.  If you have tart tins and old dishes your good to go. Let me show you~

All I did was glue the tart tin to the bottom of the dish, making a dish with a pedestal.
I used Beacon Quick Grip, love this stuff!!!

Let them dry for about 10 minutes and it is good to go.  You could also use saucers for this (just didn't have any).  The rule is "use what you have".  If you have to buy stuff, just takes the fun out of re-purposing something.

These also would be really different to hold a birthday cupcake for someone special.
I'm using them, in a cluster, for buttons.

Hope you will make some ~
tag me if you do :)

Stamp: Darkroom Door
Pine cones:  Gathered on the way to Montana.

Try It Tuesday~ a couple shelf sitters!

Hi guys!!
I have a fun re-purposed project to share. It is pretty easy too!!!
I took Star Tart/Jello Tins and created  shelf sitters ~

Aren't these sweet.  I have never seen the Star type tart/jello tins before.
I have had sea shells and buttons on the brain lately, so that is where I started.
I also had the super cute Paper Dolls by Tim Holtz, so I used them too :)

I filled the tins with small sea shells and small buttons.  I stuck the paper
doll people down in the sea shell/button  mix.  Added a cute tag and call them "shelf sitters".
The paper dolls are made of a heavy paper which made it easy to stick in the mix of sea shells/buttons.  The "sister " shelf sitter really reminds me of two little "Hyde" girls.
 (Isn't my sister's bow pretty)
Just having fun creating!! Just remember it doesn't
have to be hard to make to be cute and fun!!

Heart Tart Tin Flowers~

Hi guys!
I have been creating with those heart tart tins again. I used felt this
time instead of paper.  The background is paper and the rest, of the inside, is felt.
I'm not going to hold my breath, but if I got some Roses these would look really pretty
 nestled among the them.

The shapes are steel dies and the leaves are hand cut.  The straws were an added touch.
These would be darling tied to a homemade loaf of bread (any kind).  So romantic :) :):)

These were fun to make and I hope you have beautiful Valentine's Day!!
See ya soon~

I love the look of the burlap covered in vintage finds, fabulous buttons
and charming photos.  I also have a tutorial to share on how the top
 of the pincushions were created.

1. Gather supplies. I will have a supply list at the end of the post.
2. Stuff the muslin bag with Poly-fil.
3. Stuff the muslin bag inside the burlap bag.
4. Roll in a ball and stuff in the tart tin.
5. Glue around edges with hot glue.
6. Decorate the top with ribbon, buttons, small photos, decorative
pins and vintage finds.  I used hot glue to adhere the ribbon and buttons.

Gorgeous!!!!

Try it Tuesday~remember the tart tins?

Hi guys!
Well do you, remember the tart tins?
I always have a stock pile of these cuties.  So many cute little gifts you can make,
that  SCREAM ~ thinking of you.

You can buy these, all day long, at Antique Stores and re-sale shops.  I see them
for about $5 for a stack of them.
This is what I made with six of them~

The photo booth people are by Darkroom Door.  I love the faces :) I used twine, dried flowers and a saying.
I hot glued a magnet on the back.  These would look darling in a muslin bag (could even stamp on it) or a clear bag.  Even an envelope~

Would have loved to here the stories, these folks had to tell:)

Tart Tins~ a quick tutorial!

Hi guys~A quick, fun little project using the tart tins by JBS.  These make great photo stands for kid art and recipes holders {just a few that come to mind}~ really anything you want to showcase!

This explains it pretty good but I might add on #2,  be sure to hammer on the block of wood {placed inside the tin} if not you will have a sunken place on top of the tin~ask me how I know that:):):)LOL.
On #5 I put hot glue over the wires and then they didn't move around.  I wanted a clean look so I punched a circle and covered up the wires on #6.

And what is super cool ~the tart tins are on sale this month in the JBS Mercantile. Take a look HERE~ and check out the pinwheel punch, my new favorite punch!!!
  See ya soon~

The best for last~

Hi everyone~I hope you enjoyed Blog week with Vintage Street Market and May Arts.  You still have one more day on the Jenni Bowlin Halloween Treats Blog Hop.  I have linked them just in case you missed all the inspiration!!!!  This was my final project I submitted for the Jenni Bowlin Ambassador call. I felt this was my best piece.   I did have some help though~but don't tell JBS:):)

The cat out ran the blue bird so I got some cool blue feathers to add to my project. :):) The spoon is stamped using metal stamps by Impress Art.
This is the Wren line {to date my favorite line}~gorgeous colors and images.  The project was designed and made with a heavy heart.  It is dedicated to my parents~they new where I wanted to go with my ART and supported that!!!  They are the BEST!!!!
********************************************************************
I found this in an old book at my mom's house the day after my dad's funeral~it speaks for it's self!!

*******************************************************
Tomorrow I'm getting my new computer set up and files transferred.  A sweet, sweet scrapping buddy is going to help me {or teach me }:):).  Then I can get the Silhouette going { another learning curve}.
You still have time to leave a comment HERE for the JBS Blog hop.  Winner will be announced Monday.  The Play Date Cafe is celebrating their 3 year anniversary~tons of inspiration and prizes!!!   Have a great weekend and I'll see ya soon!!!!

Try It Tuesday~ Wren goodness!!!

Glad I'm back to Try It Tuesday~you were missed!!!!  This is a set of three projects that were featured on Scrap News and Review {on line magazine} a few days ago.  If you missed the article you can go HERE to see it.:)  There was even a sneak peek on Jenni Bowlin Studios { the Inspiration blog} also.  It is HERE.  I used the new line Wren ~I know before I get these next words out of my mouth, some of you are going to say~you say that every time, I know but this is, really, really my favorite paper line. OK it's out , believe it or not:):)  You can't really see but I used some JBS new screens on the back{Ashli, are you so proud}~loving the die cut Kraft papers also. Two of the sweetest boys ever in that pic!!!

The card is made from the scraps from the layout.  I spritzed it  and added some trim.

On these magnets I used JBS tart tins, all three Tim Holtz Rosette dies and the Wren {bird dictionary paper}in the set.  The birds are beautiful to cut out and use them to embellish.

Thanks for stopping by today!!! I had a really exciting thing happen, when I get it I will take a picture and show you. Yep I won something!!!  For those that know me well, { you will be saying~OMG!!!}
See ya soon!!!!! I know what a tease, right!!!
