Remembering Jenni Bowlin Studio ~

Hi there!!!
Today I'm sharing a blast from the past, Jenni Bowlin Studio.
This was my favorite paper crafts company back in
the day, around 2009-2013. Do you remember?  I think she was
ahead of time with her products.  The color palette, vintage ephemera,
clear stamps, inks, punches and scrapbooking papers - all so good!!!!

I'm showcasing stamps from her line to create a couple of vintage
style tags.  The stamps are perfect for the mixed media look!!!

Always loved the labels and silhouette boy and girl.

The word strips are by Tim Holtz/small talk.  Inks are Distress Oxides.

The button is by Jenni too.  She had buttons, chipboard pieces,
milk caps - the best embellishments.  I still have some!!!

I hope you enjoyed this journey down memory lane.  I still
love her products.  They would fit right in with art journal
pages and the mixed media craze!
Thanks for stopping by.

Vintage Merchant Gift Tags with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L~

Hi guys!
Today I'm sharing a fun project repurposing Merchant/Repair Tags
over on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog.  I'm showcasing
their 3D Foam Adhesives. Perfect for this project!

The tags are 3 ply so you could use the inside, of the tags, for a
hand written note or stamp a sentiment.  The paper is thin so having
3 ply works great.  They make really fun Christmas Gift Tags.

These are the tags I created with. I used the front  and the back
of the tags to decorate.

I have all the details on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog.  I
hope you will check it out.  Keep in mind any type of
ephemera that could be made into a tag would work and look
great!!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy this project using vintage ephemera.

Small Stamps by Darkroom Door

Hi guys!
Darkroom Door has come out with the cutest small stamps and
I had the good fortune of creating with a couple of them.

First up is Who What Where When stamp.  Great for a party invite
or scrapbooking.

The background is created using the NEW Small Checkered stencil.
It is really cute!!! So many ways to use it too!!!  I added some Tim Holtz
Paper Dolls to the top of the stamped Who What Where When image.
I used the Alphabet Medley stamps to add the words to the
Who What Where When image. The script word is
from the Birthday Greetings set, also new!!!

Next is the Mark The Date stamp.  It is another stamp that is great for cards
and scrapbook pages.

On this one I used the candles, behind the Mark The Date image and added
the script word Celebrate from the NEW Birthday Greetings set.
The Small Checkered stencil is used as the background. Distress Oxide is the
ink on both cards. The adhesive used on both cards is by
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Hope you will check out the new release.

A Composition Notebook re-make with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L~

Hi guys!
I have a really oldie but goodie to share.  Remember when composition
notebooks were all the rage to give the cover a re-make?  I did one.
I went old school with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

I used some much loved Jenni Bowlin products to create the cover.  Remember ?
The embellishments are made out of heavy cardstock so I needed strong
adhesive to adhere and stay put.  I used Extreme-Double Sided Tape 1/4" to adhere
the black cardstock to the front of the composition notebook.  The inside has
 Keepsake Envelopes to hold "stuff".

All the details are on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog ~ check it out!!!

Junkin' find~vintage seed bin!

Hi guys!!
I have a really cool junkin' find to share with you today.
I found this in an antique store in Indiana and could
not walk past it, so it came home with me.

You could tell it was handmade and really been loved~ just the way I like to
buy things.  Each section has the seed name written in pencil.  Hard to see but made
me love it even more.

I won't tell you what I paid cause hubby might see the post :):)
but it was so worth every penny!!
I think you will agree~Indiana has good junk!!!

Lucky Cows and Lucky Charms with Joy Clair!!

Hi guys!!
We are showcasing the Lucky Charm Stamp set by Joy Clair.
This is such a fun set.  I put a funny spin on it using the 4 leaf clover
as my focal idea for my scrapbook page.  Take a look~

Most of the stamped images were stamped on white cardstock and trimmed out.
They were colored with alcohol markers.  The small clovers are stamped
directly on the pattern paper and then colored in.  The images
were arranged  and then adhered to the pattern with dimensional foam
squares.

The story of the cows and the clover :):) It's a good one~

Wood Album with ephemera ~ Clear Scraps!

Hi, Connie here with a useful and cute teacher's gift using the Notes Wood Album by Clear Scraps.   My example is more like a junk album.  It holds duplicate photos and ephemera that is really cool.   It has envelopes for storage and blank pages for notes.  Let me show you~
Wood album1_Clear Scraps_C. Mercer
Instructions:
·  Paint all sides with acrylic paint.  Let dry.
·  Stencil the front of the album using the 6" Bouquet Daisies flower stencil by Clear Scraps.
·  Acrylic paint options up to you.  Create what you love.

Wood album2_Clear Scraps_C. Mercer
With a no.1 fine liner brush outline the flowers and leaves from the stencil with black acrylic paint.  Add a small amount of water, to the black paint,  so the brush flows smoothly.  The stencil was my guide.  By doing this the flowers really pop and look like they were painted on free hand.

Wood album3_Clear Scraps_C. Mercer
Before the front was sealed, it was sanded lightly and then wiped down with a soft cloth.   The front cover was then varnished with a mat sealer.

Wood album4_Clear Scraps_C. Mercer
The pages really reflect a junk album type look and I love it!!!  Add things you love to it.  The pages are made from cardstock and ephemera.  The photos are duplicates.  I used stamps to decorate and add interest to the pages.

Bird Cage mini album~Clear Scraps!

Hi !!
Yesterday I was up on Clear Scraps with a Bird Cage mini album.   It is much more than meets the eye
( always is, right):)  I have collected saying, words, special thoughts to put them in a special book.  This project was perfect for that.  Favorite mini, favorite paper and favorite embellishments!!!

This  Bird Cage chipboard album comes with five pages, the inside three, I covered with paper
( JBS/Wren) and the front and back cover I sealed with matte sealer.  I clipped the front cover and the first page together, so the pattern paper would show through.  On the front cover I clustered embellishments, using my favorite things and colors.

I added a couple library card envelopes (Curtsey Boutique) to several pages.  As I collect saying I will have a place to stick them in.  I used Beacon/ Fast Finish Decoupage and 3-in-1 for adhering the embellishments to the front cover.

***************************************
Would love for you to stop by Clear Scraps and look at all of the mini album , in acrylic and chipboard So many different styles:):)
Thanks for stopping by~
