I Will Make Room For You ~ mixed media art journal page.

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing a mixed media Art Journal Page using
stamps and stencils.  The inspiration came from a song.
It really spoke to me.

I used stamps and stencils by Creative Worship Stamps. I will list them at the
end of this post.  Distress Oxides inks (watered down) and acrylic paint is
what I started with.

I added vintage book text pages to both sides of the journal page.  The background
is a mix of stencils and stamps.  The larger / focal images are stamped out,
colored and then cut out.

Stamps & stencils included by Creative Worship Stamps are:  Teeny Alpha,
Funky Textures 2, Authentic faith, Typewriter Background, Books of
the Bible Set, Worthy King Alpha, Fantastic Flower, Brick Wall, Leaf Fronds,
Cross Stitch and Stacked Arrows.

Thanks for stopping by!

Bear Ornaments spruced up~

Hi guys!!
Another quick and easy, plus fun crafty post!
I took store bought ornaments and made a greeting tag
for them.  I used the label stickers by Tim Holtz and
sentiments stamp by Darkroom Door.
These came 6 in a pack from HL.  I just added a sentiment tag stamped on
the Tim Holtz label stickers.  Punched a small hole to add twine.
I added these to gift bags I made for my moms friends.
Just some quick and easy little gifts!!

Try It Tuesday~changing things up in the craft room!

Hi guys!!
Sometimes it just needs to be done, especially when
you get some cool vintage stuff ~
Stacking old books next to the area I photograph at.  Makes it
easy to grab what I need~

Frogs~I need these too!

All together, makes it easy~

Some of my favorite labels and ephemera hanging
 inside an old wooden frame.

Vintage Royal typewriter, great for showcasing a vintage photo.

Try It Tuesday~Peanut cup with The Curtsey Boutique!

Hi guys!!
I have a fun tutorial I did for The Curtsey Boutique some time ago.
It is for the guys in the family:).
*****************
Supplies~
Fabric Stiffener (Helmar)
Vintage label
Jar of Peanuts
twine
burlap bags
wooden scoop
empty water bottle

Project Instructions:
1.   Remove the tie cord from the burlap bag.
2.   Put an empty plastic water bottle into the burlap bag.

3.       Apply the fabric stiffener to the burlap bag.   I used a large paint brush.
4.   After the bag is really saturated with the fabric stiffener, sit it down until it is standing on it’s own.
5.       Let it dry.  It took mine about 4 hours to be completely dry.

6.       Cut off the top of the plastic bottle with a box cutter.
7.       Decorate the front and add the twine.
8.       When you are ready to serve or give as a gift insert the wooden scoop with peanuts!!
9.       Super cute!!! Dad will love it!!!! His own Peanut Cup!

The burlap bags can be found on The Curtsey Boutique's Etsy Shop.

Ephemera~old labels with JBS Mercantile~

I love using vintage labels in crafting and scrapbook pages.  This one is from the JBS Mercantile. It is especially beautiful and goes well with the Elle's Studio paper products.  This is another of my layouts I did for my June work for Jenni Bowlin Studio.  If you love the old labels the mercantile has some really neat ones.  You can find them HERE.
