Sea Shell Cards with Embossed Backgrounds ~

Hi guys!
It is my turn over on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog.  I
have a really cool technique to share using WOW Embossing Powder
and the tear off sheet from the 3D Foam Circle White Mix.
There is a step by step tutorial for these cards.  I hope you will take time to
look. I am using the part of the packaged 3D Foam White Circle Mix that normally
would be thrown away.   You can also use the salvage or negative as dimensional
adhesive on projects. Works great and no WASTE!!!

Supplies Used by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L:
Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/4"
Other products used:
Embossing Powder: WOW! Embossing Powder (Fizz Embossing Powder, Embossing Pen, and Clear Coat Embossing Powder); Stamps: Darkroom Door; Ink: Ranger Ink (Distress Oxide); Twine. Thanks for stopping by~ Connie/DT Member

Silhouette Corner Foliage by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps~

Hi guys!
I have a couple cards to share using the Silhouette Corner Foliage
stamp by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.  Such a cool stamp.
Even though the foliage is in one corner, the stamp can be moved
around to a different angle to create a different look.
Card#1 ~
I created the sunset first using PanPastels and then stamped
over the background of the card.
Using a Misti or stamping platform makes it easy to repeat stamping
of the image to insure a crisp and rich image.

Card#2
The background on this card was created using Distress Oxide ink in blue tones.
The stencil reminds me of an arbor ornament for Ivy's to grow on
.  The stamp was turned up side down to get the top leaves stamped.
I love a pretty Ivy stamp. So many uses~
Products used:
Blue Knight Rubber Stamps: Silhouette Corner Foliage
Ink: PanPastels, Distress Oxide inks, VersaFine Clair/Nocturne
Adhesives: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L
Stencil: Paper Artsy/Sara Naumann

God's Treasures by Joy Clair Stamps~

Hi guys!!
Today it is my turn on the Joy Clair Blog.  I'm creating with the
God's Treasures set and it is super cute!!! I created three different cards,
using different techniques for the card background.

The first card example is a mix of blue green colors to represent the ocean and then a brown mix to represent the beach sand.  The treasure chest is stamped on the beach and gemstones are added, with sparkle, to enhance the treasure chest.  All three cards were matted with coordinating cardstock and then adhered to a folded card.

The second card is an example of the Distress Oxide ink applied with a sponge and then spritzed with water, so droplets form, creating an interesting background.  The stamping is done over the background and then colored in with watered down Distress Oxide ink.  The gemstones are stamped out on scrap cardstock, trimmed out and adhered with 3D dimensional adhesive.  The images are high lighted with a glitter pen.

The third card is an example of a mixed color background.  The Distress Oxide ink is watered down and the paper is laid in the mix of color.  The concept is to layer the colors, on the heavy cardstock, drying with a heat tool after each color.  This makes it easy to add more color when needed.  The stamping is done over the background.  The images were stamped out, trimmed and then adhered to the card front with 3D dimensional adhesive.

To Be Jolly by Darkroom Door

Hi guys!!
I'm continuing to create with the new release by
Darkroom Door. Today I'm sharing small cards created using a
small stamp called To Be Jolly.

You can find all of the small stamps HERE!

These little cards are 3 1/2 X 3 1/2 .  They are created using scraps of
pattern paper.  I love creating with bits and pieces.  I trimmed the stamp
so the tree is separate from the text.  The text was rearranged and then
stamped on white or beige cardstock.  Double mat the sentiment and
adhere to the folded card.  Add twine.  Stamp small tree and trim
out. Tie the tree charm on the ends of the twine.

I arranged the small stamp like the photo shows and stamped it with
Archival /Jet Black and Leaf Green.  I added red berries with
acrylic paint and then speckled with black and white
acrylic paint.  The tags were created from scrap pieces of Kraft cardstock
and a corner rounder was used to create the rounded edges on
the bottom of the tag.

Fall cards with Joy Clair and Leisure Arts~

Hi guys!!
It is my turn on the Joy Clair Blog!
I created some fallish (is that a word) cards that make me ready for some
 cool weather and football.
These cards were created by using the markers as a mixed media type ink.  I scribbled the ink on a non stick mat and added a small amount of water and dabbed the ink on the watercolor  paper.  I dried the paper with a heat tool after each color.  I just kept layering colors (from the markers) until I got a fallish mix of color. Something a cool November day would be proud of.  The images form the Fall, family & Football stamp set were stamped out and colored in with the dual tip markers by Leisure Arts.
The images were adhered to the card front with Dimensional adhesive and then double matted on coordinating cardstock.  The cards are 3" X 4" /small great for gift bags are football goodies!

The second card is created using the same technique except I used Distress Oxides inks instead of the dual tip markers.  The background was created the same.  The images were water colored with Distress Oxide ink.  The images were adhered to the card front with dimensional adhesive/foam squares. The card front was double matted on coordinating cardstock and then adhered to a folded card.  This is a 3" X 3" card so it is perfect for a gift bag or used as a card on some game day treats!

Joy Clair and Leisure Arts ~ cards!!

Hi guys!!
It is my turn on the Joy Clair Blog today!
I am also creating with some crazy cool dual tip markers by Leisure Arts.
So fun to create with awesome stamps and some awesome markers:)

I'm here with some cards using the newly released stamp sets by Joy Clair called Crystal Background and You're A Gem.  These sets were made to go together and have a ton of sparkle potential.

The same unique, pretty crystal stones were used in both sets and ready to be all glittered up.  We are also creating with some crazy cool dual tip markers  by Leisure Arts.

The markers were scribbled on a non stick surface and sprayed with a small amount of water.  The paper (mixed media) was dabbed in the ink from the markers.  I kept adding different colors, drying with a heat tool after each color.  Once the background was created stencils were added for dimension and interest.  The gem stones were stamped out and dabbed with ink from the markers.  The cut out gemstone images were glazed with a glitter pen an adhered to the card front.  The sentiment was added along with some small clear rhinestones. The card front was matted on  gray cardstock and then a folded card.

Both these cards are created using the same techniques.  The images are stamped out on backgrounds created using the dual tip markers by Leisure Arts.  The stencil work is giving the impression of negative verses positive impression but actually it is a dark plum ink on light paper and then dark paper.  The gemstone images were cut out and glittered with the Wink Of Stella pen/clear, giving the gemstones the sparkle that we all love.  The sentiments were stamped out and added to each card. The cards were speckled with black ink (first card) and white ink (second card).  To complete the cards, the card fronts were adhered to a folded card.

Abstract 02 by Darkroom Door~

Hi guys!!
I have been creating with a new stamp by Darkroom Door
called Abstract 02 and it is pretty cool.
Perfect for card making or for those art journal pages!

Abstract 02

First card set~

Instructions:
The images were stamped on watercolor paper, using Archival/Jet Black ink and colored with Distress Oxides creating the background (Abstract 02) for the card.  The stars, bottles and pencils were stamped on heavy cardstock, colored with Distress Oxides (watered down) and then trimmed out and added to the card front, with dimensional
adhesive.  Texture was added, to the background, using the script texture stamp.  The card front was adhered to a folded Kraft cardstock card.

Instructions:
The background, for the card, was created using the Spanish Tiles with Distress Oxide ink
stamped on coordinating cardstock.  The Abstract 02 and Portrait Inchies were stamped on heavy cardstock with Archival ink/Jet Black.  The images are shaded with watered down Distress Oxide. The images (Abstract 02 and Portrait Inchies) are trimmed out and a canter border is created.  The sentiment is added from the Whimsical Words set by Darkroom Door.   Stickers were added the card was adhered to a folded card. Black splats were added with ink.

Instructions:
The background is created using the Lrg. Mesh stencil with Distress Oxides ink,  I used four different colors and then sprayed with water so they would mingle.  The Abstract 02 stamp was used next and highlighted with a white ink pen.  The med. Creativity stencil was used also with Archival/Jet Black ink.  The Carved Birds Vol.1 and the Carved Leaves Vol.1 were stamped in random spots and highlighted with a white ink pen.  The quote stamp ~ Dance, was stamped out on heavy cardstock and trimmed into strips, then added to the art journal page.  Watered down Distress Oxide ink was added, to each word strip, for color.  Black splats were added with ink.

Hochanda and Darkroom Door ~

 Hi guys!
I just had to share with you, yesterday on
Hochanda (UK craft shopping show) Darkroom Door
was featured with their beautiful red rubber stamps.
Some of my cards were in the show ~
The first show
features these cards

I was really excited about this segment.  The cards featured in this segment
were from 2011, some of the very first creative work
done for Darkroom Door.

This was such a thrill for me, to be one of the Darkroom Door designers, to have
creative work shared in the UK.  If by any chance you haven't heard of
this amazing stamp company, check them out here.
They have a stockist list for USA  and other countries.  When I order stamps, I order
directly from Darkroom Door.  It takes about 14 days.
So worth the wait!!!
