Mixed Media tag fun!

Hi there!!
I found time to create (even with being sick) and
I started with tags.  Today I'm sharing one using
some of the new stamps (new to me) by Creative Worship.  I
love the vintage inspiration !! The labels are so fun and great to layer
for a background.

I used watered down Distress Oxide inks along with stamps
and stencils to create the background for the tag.
Then I stamped the silhouette flower over the background using
the Misti (so I could re-stamp if need be) and I did!

Buttons and repurposed fabric were used for the tag topper.  The buttons
are not new, they are repurposed also.  I love to use what I have :):)

The stamps used to create the tag are: Psalm 119 Wordfetti, Vintage Elements,
Psalm 23 BG stamp, Funky Textures 2, Authentic Faith and Nature
Silhouettes 3.  The stencils are: Mixed Up and Dots & Hearts.
You can find them here at Creative Worship. All adhesives are by
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

I have two more to share so come back in a few days!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Nativity Scene Tag with Buttons Galore & More~

Hi there!!!
Today I'm sharing a mixed media tag using the
super cute Nativity Scene Novelty buttons by
Buttons Galore & More (affiliate link) along with stamps.

I started with a blank tag and added Distressed Oxide inks (watered down) to
create a background for the stamps.  I used background stamps and a
focal stamp that helps tell the story of the Nativity Scene buttons used on
the tag.

Added to the bottom corner, a piece of homespun fabric and some black
stitch work.  The Nativity Scene buttons are stitched to the tag.
The words are added and a tag tie, for the top of the tag, along with
buttons dangling (large blue button from Low Tide Set).

Crocheted Flower Magnets with Buttons Galore & More~

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing some Crocheted Flower Magnets using
pretties from the Harvest Monthly Subscription Box by
Buttons Galore & More (affiliate link).

The flowers are crocheted with the BIG button in the center using
Granny's Button Box. These were given to me and I spruced them up.

The pretties are from the box and were added on the Big button.
You will need strong wet glue or hot glue. I then
added a sticker phrase to each flower magnet.  The
last thing to do is glue the magnet to the back of the BIG button.

The box comes with all the special "Harvest" embellishments that will
be perfect for this kind of Fall Décor!!!

Fruit Tag with Shaker Elementz by BGM ~

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing a mixed media tag using Shaker Elementz
by Buttons Galore & More (affiliate link) for a tag border.
I'm using bits and pieces to cover the scallop border
of the tag.

Using Distress Oxide inks, along with stamps and stencils, to
create a mixed media background for the tag.  Extra fruit
images were stamped, colored and trimmed to use on the front
of the tag.

The sentiments are stamped, trimmed out and added to the
tag front. A fabric tie is added, to the top of the tag, and a mini
bottle, filled with Shaker Elementz (SLM116), is tied to the fabric,
along with buttons from the Sun & Surf Box.

The scalloped border is covered with Shaker Elementz (SLM116)
using wet glue.  To complete the tag it is speckled with
white acrylic paint. All adhesive is by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Clustering Buttons on a Mixed Media Tag ~

Hi there!!
I have been creating with buttons by
Buttons Galore & More and they look fab
clustered on a mixed media tag.  I'm using the
Spring Value Pack because the colors were a perfect
match with the inks used for the tag.

The background is a mix of Distress Oxide inks. The inks didn't
get written down but I used a pink, dark pink and a light green.
Any colors, that look good together, will make a fun looking
tag.

Clustering three different sizes next to the focal image brings the eye
to the main attraction. I used thread to add more color to the
buttons.  I really love the look!!
CONNIE10 will get you 10% off your button order.

Hi there!!
Sharing my last project using the Backyard Blooms
Novelty buttons by Buttons Galore & More. I did a
couple of mixed media cards and added buttons
and Jelly Beans as embellishments. Really love the
look and added dimension it gives the card front.

These were super fun to create and the background mix worked perfect
for the button mix that I wanted to add.

The center of the flowers have the Jelly Bean half pearlz. They are easy
to set also. I used Dual Tip Glue Pen by HomeHobby by 3L.
All other adhesive is by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

I hope you come away with a love for buttons.  They look
good on everything.

Kleenex Covers with Buttons Galore & More ~

Hi there!
I have another fun project using the Spring Value pack
and the Patriotic Value pack by Buttons Galore & More.
I did two different Kleenex Covers using the novelty buttons
for decorations.

I used a pattern, that I made, to get the dimensions for the
Kleenex Covers.  This was my starting point and I adjusted
as I needed to.  I used fabric glue but you sure could sew them
with a machine or hand sew.

I know this is rough :):). The sides are going to be long but just trim
when you make the center fold.  I hand sewed the buttons on
 with coordinating embroidery thread.

They make really cute gifts!!!

using Buzzin Around Buttons by Buttons Galore & More.

The buttons are added to the finished tags using
Adhesive Dots by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3l.  The Bee buttons
have a shank so you will need to take wire cutters and snip
the shank and then they can be easily added to your
project.

The Bee, on the material bow, is adhered to a stick pin. Easy to create

Music Inspired Key Strap with Buttons Galore & More ~

Hi there!!
Today I'm sharing another project using
the Music Value Pack by Buttons Galore & More.
Get a needle and thread, that's what you will
need to make this pretty!

I'm using a wrist key strap with gray ribbon, to highlight
the Music buttons.  They are sewn on the wrist strap using
embroidery thread.  I used black, red and white and alternated
on the buttons.

I glued (using strong wet glue) two buttons with shanks.  Take
wire cutters and snip the shank off, so the button will lay
flat.
This a fun project for the Music geek in the
family!!!

Ghost Necklace with Clear Scraps!

Hi, Connie here with a cute project using the small Ghost Pallet shape by Clear Scraps.   These small pallet shapes make fun and easy necklaces that children (and fun adults) will want to wear on Halloween night!!!

This is really an easy creative project.  Start by painting the ghost white.  Add the face with bright and different colors of paint.  I went with green for the eyes.  I used the spider web stencil, by Clear Scraps, and added it to the corner of the ghost pallet.  The chipboard bat is embossed and then adhered with a strong adhesive.  Next tie green twine around the ghost and add a orange button. Punch a hole in the top ( with the crop-a-dile) and add an "o" ring and then the chain.  Add a small piece of distressed fabric by the "o" ring.  Seal with a mat varnish and call it done and cute!!!

I love that they come is a set of three, making for a beautiful cluster of trees.  Great for a table centerpiece and other winter decor.  Creating them is pretty fun too!!  Let me show you~

Clear scraps_tree5_c.mercer
Instructions:
1.  Using Forrest Green spray paint, paint the trees~ one side and then the other side, six pieces in all.
2.  Stencil small snowflakes, on both sides of the trees, using beige or white acrylic paint. I applied the paint with a cosmetic sponge. Works great!
3. Paint the star with gold paint or emboss the star.  Add snow (Rock Candy stickles) to the top of the star.
4.  Let dry.
5.  Create a tag for the large tree using the Fruit of the Spirit stencil by Clear Scraps.

6.  Spray trees with acrylic clear spray.

Clear scraps_tree2_c.mercer
The trees slip together, making it easy to assemble and easy to store away for the next year.

Clear scraps_tree3_c.mercer
The tag is created by stenciling, on a white tag, with several different Christmas stencils by Clear Scraps.   Also a great way to make gift tags for gifts. Easy and cute!!
