A Valentine's Day Card~ creating with Topflight Stamps!

 Hi guys!
It is my turn on the Topflight Stamps Blog today.
I'm creating with Darkroom Door stamps and some
Distress Oxide ink for added color.

I started by creating a messy background, using Distress Oxides for the
color, over the Arrows background stamp by Darkroom Door. The
Fine leaves were stamped and then colored in with Distress Oxide ink.
I layered stamps from the Hearts and Label sets by Darkroom Door.
The butterflies were stamped  and colored and then cut out.  They were
added to the card front with dimensional adhesive.

Products used:
Arrows Background Stamp by Darkroom Door

Hearts by Darkroom Door

Fine Butterflies by Darkroom Door

Vintage Label by Darkroom Door

Abstract 06 by Darkroom Door

Fine Leaves by Darkroom Door

A Valentine with Joy Clair~

Hi guys!
It is my turn on the Joy Clair Blog!
I'm sharing a funny and cute card using the  #single set and
God's Focus set by Joy Clair.  This is a perfect card for that
special someone that loves chocolate, especially 1/2 chocolate.

To create a background for the card an embossing folder was used on heavy cardstock.  The banner was stamped out, from the God's Focus set, and trimmed out.  Color was added using Distress Oxide inks.  They work just like watercolors when water is added.  The banner and small hearts, were added to the card front, with 3D foam adhesive, along with a snarky sentiment from the #singles set.  Twine was added to complete the card.  Ink splats are optional.
The sentiment was added, to the inside of the card, suggesting 1/2 price chocolate is in the near future, like tomorrow!  Super cute and a quick card to celebrate the love for chocolate.

Valentine card ~

Hi guys!!
Just a quick easy Valentine card to share !!
I used the Just My Style set and the Hearts set by Darkroom Door.
The background is created using the Torn Text BG stamp by Darkroom Door.

I used the steel rectangle die by A Jillian Vance Design to cut the rectangle.  The rectangle was then mounted on black cardstock and adhered to the front of the card, with foam squares by Scrapbook Adhesives.

The stamped images were stamped and then cut out and adhered on the card front.
The sentiment was stamped and cut out, then speckled the card with silver ink spray.

Candy Wrappers with Quick Quotes!

Hi, Connie here with a fun candy wrapper idea using Shades of Grey and Whistlin Dixie by Quick Quotes.  These are fun and quick!! You will have a Valentine made in no time at all.

The first thing you will need is candy bars. I used Hershey's Milk Chocolate but any candy bar will work, just adjust the size of the wrapper.  The flat ones, like this, will give you a larger area to decorate.  These would be great for other occasions too!

The size of the wrapper is 5 3/4" x 5 1/2" .  All you do is wrap the paper around the candy bar and secure the end with adhesive.

Shade the edges with Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk ink/Midnight Confession.
Decorate the front with red hearts and shade the hearts with Barn Board.

Supplies used:
Quick Quotes/Whistlin Dixie: 104
Quick Quotes/Shades of Grey: 102
Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk Ink: Midnight Confessions. Barn Board, Feather Gray and Seafoam.

other: heart punch, arrow punch, leaves, pearls and sentiment stamp.

My Valentine.....

I love to do this type of "funky" art~I love the vintage pieces incorporated into the "valentine".
When I go "junk'n" this is the type of  things I look for.  Broken jewelry with beads or pearls, chandelier crystals, old trims ( hard to come by) and old pearl buttons~I'll buy them every time.
The base of the piece is a Basic Grey book plate.  You can still find them in clearance places.  I used Jenni Bowlin pattern paper and 7Gypsies ephemera.  If you didn't have the book plate, you could build off of chipboard or an old graphic piece.  The sky is the limit ~ if you can think it up, then try it!!!
The treadmill is calling my name ~ so see you tomorrow for Try it Tuesday!!
