Coffee Lovers Blog hop with Quick Quotes!

Hi, Connie here with a card for the Coffee Lovers Blog hop with Quick Quotes.

I'm using the Windsong Collection with Mocha Mama, Java and Latte  PowderPuff Chalk inks by Quick Quotes. These beautiful inks, all named after coffee, are gorgeous rich colors and do remind me of coffee.

The Windsong Collection, by Quick Quotes, is very subtle but I loved how it matched the vintage coffee creamer lid I wanted to add to the card.  The blue and brown colors were a perfect match.  The stamping was done using the Mocha Mama and Java PowderPuff Chalk inks by Quick Quotes.

Supplies used:
Quick Quotes: Windsong Collection
Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks: Mocha Mama. Java, Latte.

Other:
Darkroom Door: Coffee stamps
Divine twine
Wink of Stella
Vintage milk cap

Try It Tuesday ~ two kinds of shakers!!

Hi guys!
Thanks for the visit today.
You know I love vintage and love using old things,in a way, that I can
enjoy them and having a purpose is good too.

I was given these and thought they would be amazing (yes, amazing) filled with
sequins and micro beads.  This is my storage for them at present~

none!!!!

The micro beads and sequins are fun to put inside the ****new shakers**** by Clear Scraps.
You will be seeing lots of examples on Clear Scraps and my blog so stay tuned.
I love shakers ~all kinds!!

These are really fun to create with and the vintage salt and pepper shakers hold the micro beads and sequins so they pour easily into the chipboard shaker, before adhering the acrylic top.
Check them out

Have a great day!!!

Try it Tuesday~Remember this, spool pin cushion tutorial.

Remember this vintage spool~

and this~ the famous spool pin cushion with the Tim Holtz (alcohol ink stained) pins.
This pin cushion has 6,500 page views on my blog and has been pinned over 500 times.  I have been asked for the use of the picture, to sell it, for a tutorial and "did I make it".  Here is the scoop~
I bought it 4 years ago in Branson, Missouri at a craft/antique mall.  I had no idea it would be such a hit and because of that I decided to make one with you~ so get a spool, burlap, hot glue gun, pillow stuffing,  measuring tape trim, buttons, and pins:):)
I cut a 5" circle out of some burlap material ( bought at craft store)~

This is showing how I started the process of stuffing the top of the spool.  I tagged it with hot glue in several spots and then added the stuffing.  I kept tagging with hot glue and adding stuffing.

It should look like this after repeating the process.

After that is done and it is all glued down~I went around it with the scissors and cut off the hang over~ It is now ready to decorate and add the measuring tape trim.  Just use what you have~old trim or lace would look pretty too.

and this is what I came up with!!! I did not buy anything special, just used what I had in my stash:):)
Let me know what you think:)
See ya soon~
