Six ideas for re-purposing vintage finds~

Hi guys!!
I took a walk on my front porch and thought I would
share some of my re-purposed finds.  You know the
grungy stuff no wants to take home.  I love chipped paint, rust
 and eclectic finds!!

no.1
This is an old carpenters tool box. When I found it the bottom
was coming off.  It is still the original paint.   I thought one
of the bird nests (collected this Spring, with fake eggs) made for a cool table
center piece.  Always can find something to put a bird nest
in.
no.2
Old chippy chairs make a great plant stand.  Dug these out of a trash pile.
no.3
A chippy chair, holding a vintage washboard, make for a super cute
deer antler display for the front porch.
no.4
Old pottery and large enamel ware pots are great for collecting
natures gifts.  These have pine cones of all sizes, from all over
the USA.
no.5
Old milk can with a slice of tree (from ranch) make a unique
table.

no.6
A hunk of wood and an unique tractor seat (needs a new paint job) makes a
very cool ranch stool for the BBQ pit!!

Try It Tuesday~ A meaningful Flower Box!

Hi guys!
Glad you are here for Try It Tuesday~
I have a really neat re-purpose to show you~
I started out with this ~
My dad made this for the back of a choir chair at his church.
* I love that mom gave it to me.
* I love that he made it with his own hands.
* I love that he designed this.
* I love that it was his original idea.
*I love that it was his.

* I love that he dated it and numbered it. So him!
I hope I did it justice~

* The front panel is painted with black paint then stenciled.
* I put six eggs in the nest, representing my six "loves".
* The two bird nests represent my two sons and their wives.
* The roses are from my hubby, over the years.
I dry them and save them for projects.
* There are three roses (dried) from my dad's funeral.
* The sticker says~ "All things grow with love"
* They really do!!!

Thanks for stopping by~

The Curtsey Boutique~ a pumpkin re-make!!!

Just in case you missed this~my first blog post for The Curtsey Boutique ( awesome Etsy shop).
I did a pumpkin re-make:)
This is what it looked like when I took it down from the attic:(:(
I know, sad sad shape!

So with the help of The Curtsey Boutique, I did a re-make.  I glued it back together and then painted it again with some orange acrylic paint.   Then I started arranging these gorgeous, handmade, satin flowers.  I added some green moss and I covered the pumpkin stem with burlap.

Re-do with Vintage Street Market~

Hi guys~last year I did this project for Vintage Street Market and it has been hangin' out in my closet ever since.  You know muffin pans don't fit in albums very good so I removed everything from the pan and made a layout.  This is what I came up with~

I love how it came out and even gave it to my mom for some Easter cheer.  I will have another challenge~she does Creative Memories, so this  page will need to be cut down to fit her album.  I will take the cardstock off and trim the top and it will fit perfect but for now she has it displayed on an easel.

Have a great weekend and I'll see ya Monday!!!!
