Bark Background Stamp by Blue Knight Stamps~

Hi there!!
Today I'm sharing my second project as
Guest Designer for Blue Knight Stamps. It
is called Bark BG and it is super fun!!!
Let me show you~

See what I'm talking about, it looks like real bark on a tree (actually is).
I used over nine products on each project.  I'll link below.

The tag is cut from the Tag DieI cut several at a time so I have them
on hand.
The Bark BG stamp is stamped on the tag and the colored
with Panpastels. The Stag is added from the Buck, Doe & Fawn set.
The scenery at the bottom was added to lengthen the tag.  It is from
Birds ll and Eagles and Foliage set. The leaf branches are stamped and
die cut from the Background Branches set and then colored.  The sentiments are
from Happy Any Day/One Line Sentiment and the Reverse Sentiments.
Add twine to the top.

The background for this card is the Mixed Media 1 Designer Paper.
The bird houses are hand cut from stamped Bark BG cardstock. The tree
limb, used as the bird house stand, is from the Chickadee in the Woods
stamp
& die. I also added in the Birds ll and Silhouette Grasses.  The
sentiments are from Blessings/One Line Sentiments.  The leaf branches,
on top of the bird houses, are from the Background Branches stamp & die.
All the adhesive is by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Retired is still good~ stamps that is!

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing a card using Mixed Media 1 Designer Paper by
Blue Knight Stamps.  This is the first paper set I did for them.
I'm also adding in a retired stamp (it is a great filler stamp) called
Rejoice Always. It is a great background stamp.

I stamped on the designer paper using BG Branches, Buck, Doe and Fawn,
and Mixed Media Numbers.
The flower, for the focal collage, is also from
the retired set Rejoice Always.  I stamped some of the images from
the Mixed Media Numbers set and cut them out, and then
added a torn edge to them.  Going for a ticket look

Creating a collage cluster for the corner of the card.  The sentiment is
from the Reverse Sentiments set.  To complete the card white acrylic
paint is splattered using an old toothbrush.  Works great!!  The
sentiment is stamped and then adhered with dimensional adhesive.

This makes a great "art share" card!

Encouragement Sentiment Stamps with Blue Knight Stamps~

Hi there!
Today is my last project using the
wonderful stamps and dies by Blue Knight Stamps.
I'm sharing a card and tag using the Encouragement
set (clear).

Both of these projects are using the Mixed Media 2 Designer Paper  (purple/mix)
as my starting place.  The tag is cut out using the Tag Die and then stamped
with Blossoming Branches.  A border is made for the bottom of the tag
from the tops of the small tag (in the die set).  Twine and a button are added plus
a fabric tie for the top. The card is using the same paper (purple/mix) and stamped
with the Flowers in Grass.  The sentiment is from the Encouragement set and
Reverse Sentiments (Thinking of You). The bird is from the Birds ll set. Twine
is added to the bottom of the card.  All adhesive is by Scrapbook Adhesive by
3 L.

Breezy Grass and Tag Die with Blue Knight Stamps~

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing a couple of tags using the
Breezy Grass Stamp along with the Tag Die by
Blue Knight Stamps.

The Tags are die cut from the Mixed Media 2 Designer Paper / Orange mix.
Isn't it cool the tag background is already done for you. It is ready to go!
I used reinforcers (inked with black ink) to support the top tag hole.
The Breezy Grass is stamped on the tags.  Each tag the stamp is positioned
differently for a different looking tag. The dragonfly is stamped and
then the tags are speckled with white acrylic paint.

The sentiments are from the Reverse Sentiments set, one of my favorite
stamp sets.  Love the pop of black, brings your eye to the words. All
adhesive is by Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L.

Feather Stamps & Die with Blue Knight Stamps~

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing the Feather Stamp & Die along with
Bird Saying Stamp & Die.  These two sets are
designed to be use together (or separate), you choose :):)

To start this card I used the Feather Stamps along with the Bird Sayings
(clear set) set to create the card background.  I just stamped in random
spots on Kraft cardstock.  I then die cut three Feathers and colored them
with Distress Oxide ink.  The Feathers were attached to the center
of the card front with dimensional adhesive.  The sentiments are from the
Bird Sayings set and Reverse SentimentsSpeckle with white acrylic
paint.  To complete the card, add twine and a button for a bottom border.

This is another example using the Feather Stamps with the Bird Sayings Stamps.
Create a background on the Mixed Media 2 Designer Paper using
black ink.  I added a bird border, to the bottom of the card, using the
Birds on Wire Stamp.  The sentiment is from the Bird Sayings set and
the Reverse Sentiments.  Twine was added to the bottom of the card.
All adhesive is by Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L.

Honey Bee & Sunflower Stamp/Die Card and Tag ~ Blue Knight Stamps

Hi there!
I'm back with my second project for
Blue Knight Stamps.  Today I'm sharing one
card (and a tag) using the NEW Honey Bee & Sunflower
 stamp
and die.

I also added in the Tag die. Very cool to layer the tag on a card front.
Also created a fun Gift Tag!!

To begin creating this card I cut all the elements needed, the tag, and the
four layers of the Honey Bee and Sunflower.  I then stamped each layer, colored
with Distress Oxide inks and assembled with dimensional adhesive.

I stamped the tag with the Dictionary Page BG stamp, added
a sticker reinforcer and then added the Honey Bee and Sunflower cluster.
The background paper is from the Mixed Media 2 Designer Paper.
The Honey Bee & Sunflower were stamped in random spots on
the background paper.  The tag was added to the card front. The
sentiment was added from the Reverse Sentiments set. On the petals,
of the Sunflowers, they are stamped with numbers from the
Mixed Media Numbers set. Looks cool!  Speckle with
white acrylic paint.

To create the tag start by cutting the die out, using the die.
Add color to the tag with coordinating Distress Oxide inks.
Add in Dictionary Page BG, Mixed Media Numbers and
Honey Bee & Sunflower stamp.  Cut the Honey Bee & Sunflower,
color with Distress Oxides and layer the elements as you like.
Put the cluster together with dimensional adhesive and add the the
tag front.  Cut the oval elements, using the tag die, cut in half,
add color and add as a bottom border to the tag. Add a fabric tie to the
top of the tag. The sentiment is from the Did You Know... set.
Speckle with white acrylic paint.
All adhesive is by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

See you next Tuesday for project 3.

Mixed Media Project #6 with Blue Knight Stamps~

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing Project #6, an Art Journal page, using
my NEW Mixed Media Designer paper and stamps
by Blue Knight Stamps.

Products used: Numbers set, Hope set, Birds on Wires, Reverse Sentiments, Background Branches, Blossoming Branches, Dictionary page/BG and Tell Me the Story of Jesus/BG.

Inks used: Distress Oxide: rustic wilderness, prize ribbon, salty ocean, broken china, evergreen bough and Versafine/Black Onyx. 1. Create a background using Distress Oxide inks or watercolors. I water down the inks and run the paper through the inks. I heat dry after each color. That is important because the colors will run together and make a muddy mess. 2. Study the first page and you will notice it is stamped in 3’s. I started at the corner of the page with one stamp. Then I added another. Almost like clustering in 3’s. 3. I switched it up with a matching ink color for the BG Branches. Again with the Numbers set, different ink. 4. The Birds on Wires are stamped using a platform, so I could get placement right. The acrylic sheets work great for an example of how it will look stamped out. Also you can take a wipe and remove any ink you don’t want. I shortened the wire image on this project. 5. The extra elements are stamped/placement with creating that visual triangle that I talk about so much. 6. The sentiment is added and for a twist I matted the scripture verse in black cardstock and then added a Reverse Sentiment, giving the words the focal point of the page. Speckled with white acrylic paint.
This is really fun!!
Hope you will give it a try.
Thanks for stopping by.

Mixed Media Project #5 with Blue Knight Stamps~

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing Project #5 of my
NEW Mixed Media Designer paper and stamps
by Blue Knight Stamps

Supplies needed: Reverse Sentiments, Sunflower Sunshine, Background Branches, Numbers Set, Dictionary Page/BG, Waving Wheat, and Mixed Media Designer Papers.
 1. Stamp Waving Wheat 3 different places, keeping in mind the rule of 3 (odd number) and placement forming a triangle. 2. Do the same thing with the Background Branches. I used 3 different branches and stamped them 3 times (clustered or close). 3. I then added the numbers using the same principle. 4. I then stamped up the top half of the Dictionary BG stamp and added in spots that were blank. I prefer this look. Up to you. 5. Stamp the Sunflower, die cut out and color with Panpastels. Adhere with dimensional adhesive. 6. Stamp out sentiments using Reverse Sentiments and adhere. Splatter with white acrylic paint. I use an old toothbrush. Works great! I used Versafine/Black Onyx for all stamping in Black. The brown and green are Distress Oxide ink.

Mixed Media Project #4 with Blue Knight Stamps~

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing Project #4 using my NEW
Mixed Media Designer paper along with the
Mixed Media stamps by Blue Knight Stamps.

Supplies needed: Numbers Set, Reverse Sentiments, Barberry Branch, Background Branches and a line drawn stamp (a stamp that would normally be colored). This could be you choice.
I'm using the Barberry Branch stamp.
Use a coordinating ink (I used Archival Cobalt) and stamp for a balanced look. I stamped Barberry Branch twice (in two different spots). Your call…. I then added in the Number Stamps (no block) just ink up the stamp and stamp around the Barberry Branch. I used Archival Jet Blk. for that. I added the Background Branches to the bottom and a few at the top of the card. I used Versafine/Blk. Onyx and Archival Cobalt for the ink colors. I stamped the black and cobalt using a stamping platform because I wanted a dark rich color. I then added in the light branches by stamping off the color. The Reverse Sentiments was added, stamped with Versafine/Blk. Onyx. I used white acrylic paint to add more paint splatters to the card front. Any scenery stamps that are open, with lines, that call for color, this technique will work and will look cool with the silhouette Background Branches showcasing the image.

Mixed Media Project #3 with Blue Knight Stamps~

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing Project #3 using my NEW Mixed
Media products by Blue Knight Stamps.  The paper is the Mixed Media
Designer
paper.  Already for you to create with!

Supplies needed: Tall Pines, Reverse Sentiments, Dictionary Page/BG, Number Set and Matthew 1 Birth of Jesus/BG.
To create the background for this card I used Dictionary Page and Matthew 1,
with Archival Jet Black ink. I didn’t use a block or platform for this. Just use the stamp.
Ink up a corner of the background stamp and alternate going different directions with the stamps.
I love the look it gives the card. For the 965 numbers I stamped with colored ink and positioned
in a triangle pattern. I used the DL# stamp (only the lines) and went different directions.
I used the other end of the same stamp to get the letters and symbols. Then I put the background
on the stamping platform and stamped the Tall Pines using Versafine/Blk. Onyx. The Reverse Sentiments are stamped three times using the inks colors of the card background.
I used Distress Oxide: Mowed Lawn, Broken China and Versafine/Blk. Onyx.

Mixed Media Project #2 with Blue Knight Stamps~

Hi There!
Today I'm sharing Project #2 using the NEW
Mixed Media Designer paper ,with the stamp
products, by Blue Knight Stamps.

Supplies needed: Sil. Birds & Grass, Numbers, Reverse Sentiments Stamp. The focal stamp (Sil. Birds & Grass) using Versafine/Blk. Onyx, on the card front, using a stamping platform, to get strong coverage. Using single stamps, from the numbers set, ink up with coordinating inks and add them to the card front. I don’t put the stamps on a block because it is much easier this way to stamp between the grasses. This would be done with colored ink. I used Villainous Potion Distress Oxide. Next use the 393851 stamp (using the rule of 3) and creating a triangle. You will notice it is more about repeating the color, so don’t stress. Then I added the large star, again rule of 3 and triangle. Then using the Reverse Sentiments use either the Brushed Corduroy or the Villainous Potion as the ink color. This is to show you it is OK to use colored inks for backgrounds, not just the black that we all love to use. Black does have its place though. It’s all good. Side note: You can set the platform up and stamp the background that way also. I find when doing it this way if you only want part of the stamp, you have options. A good example of that is the Provisions stamp. I only stamped the numbers. If you have it on a block or platform it would have to be masked off. This is way easier.
I love making the backgrounds for Silhouette stamps.
The card just pops and I love the
messy look:):).
All adhesive is by Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L.

Post-It-Note ideas with Blue Knight Stamps Mixed Media Products~

Hi there!!!
Today I'm sharing some crafty ideas for
Post-It-Holders.  These are great for an office
friend gift or stocking stuffers.  I'm using my
new Mixed Media products by Blue Knight Stamps.

I was pretty excited when I found the craft color Post-It-Notes on
Amazon, so now you know where my inspiration came from.  I didn't
keep track of measurements, I just created.  Once you get one done
then the measurements are worked out.
1. L top corner ~ I covered a library card holder with the NEW
Mixed Media Designer paper then stamped it with the
Dictionary BG stamp. I added the Mixed Media Numbers,
BG Branches and the Reverse Sentiment (Just a Note), to the front.
Tied with home spun fabric and added a button.
2. R top corner ~ I created a folder using craft cardstock and scored
in the middle (for the Post-It-Note pad) to sit. The cover is a 2 3/4" square.
I added a scalloped border to the bottom of the Mixed Media Designer
paper
and stamped with the BG Branches and Reverse Sentiments. Twine
and a button were added.
3. L bottom ~ This one is really easy!  Just cover a coaster or chipboard
with Mixed Media Designer paper, stamp with the Mixed Media Numbers
set and the Reverse Sentiments.  Add a clip and tie with homespun and
a button to the top of the coaster.
4. R bottom ~ This one is the same as the folder design (on top).
Supplies are the same.  I sewed homespun fabric, antique trim
and an antique button, on the cover, for a vintage look.

Some other examples.  These are really fun to create.
The Mixed Media products by Blue Knight Stamps
make them really cute :):) I packaged them in clear bags
and will share with friends.
All adhesive is by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.
Thanks for stopping by!
It's not to late to make these. Super fun!!

Sympathy card ~

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing a great looking card
and took about 10 minutes to put together.
I like that !!

I'm creating with Design Papers by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps. These
are called Day Sky 2 by Deanna Tubb-Sedillo. So fab!!! She has 9 sets of
different papers and they are all beautifully created. She did the hard
part for us.

I used Silhouette Pines along with Flocks of Birds, Birds ll and One Line
Sentiments/Sincere Condolences
.  The moon is added using the
Sun/Moon Stencil and Panpastels. I love to finish the card with a
little speckled paint.  I use an old toothbrush and water down the paint,
to thin it out, and then spritz.

I stamped the Silhouette Pines on the envelope using Archival ink/
Jet Black.  All adhesives are by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.
