Hi guys!
Cleaned out a couple of filing drawers and came across some
older postage stamps. I removed them from the envelopes by
soaking in warm water. I dried them on wax paper. I started adding
them to projects. Here a some examples~

I used my Misti (stamp platform) to get the houses lined up straight and then stamped them out on gray cardstock. I used Versa Fine Clair by Imagine Crafts. I love the deep, rich black color it produces. On a silhouette type stamp the ink is important. You want good coverage of color. The wreath was colored in with dual tip markers by Leisure Arts. This card could be backed with different colors of cardstock (like traditional holiday colors) and look amazing. I used silver cardstock with the gray. Love the look!!
The house were splattered with white acrylic paint. I use an old toothbrush and watered down paint to get a good snow look. The card is adhered together with 3D foam squares by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful holiday!!!

This card was created with Distress Oxides and Archival ink. The background was
created using several colors of Distress Oxides watered down. The paper
was placed in the watered down inks and then a heating tool was used to dry after
each color. The colors were layered until I got a cool background for the
Sloth card. The stamps were used with Archival ink and colored in with
Distress Oxide ink. The card front was added to a folded card. The sentiment

The challenge using one of the small stencils to create a card.
October Challenge: Shaped Stencil Sets!
This month we challenge you to create a project using any of our shaped Stencil Sets!
Your project can be a card, tag, art journal page, scrapbook page, mixed media project... anything goes! Your project just needs to show the use of one of our shaped Stencil Sets. (Circle, Square, Oval, Rectangle, Heart, Diamond, Hexagon, Short Rectangle, Star, Christmas Tree, Bauble and Christmas Reindeer)
Here's how to enter the challenge:
* Create a project using a Darkroom Door shaped stencil set. You can use other products too, but Darkroom Door products must be one of the main elements or features of the design.
* Post a photo here in the Darkroom Door Inspiration group with the tag #darkroomdooroctoberchallenge
* You have until October 31st, 2019 to enter.
* Project must be new and not previously uploaded to the group.
* Create as many projects as you like! (of course you are always welcome to upload ANY other project you create with Darkroom Door products too, not just ones for the challenge! We like to see what you are creating!)
One winner will be picked at random (within the first week of November 2019) and will receive a Rubber Stamp set and stencil (or equivalent) of your choice.
To inspire you, here's some cards where I've used the Circle and Rectangle Stencil Sets!
Good luck and happy creating!!
Rachel
Hope to see your work~

This is a fun set that can be used for all kinds of craft projects. The images would be great on a scrapbook page. I created a mixed media type background and then stamped over it. Distress Oxides inks were used with the bottom tool border. Water was splatted, over the stamped border, creating the blurred image. Working with tools is messy!
The stamped images were embossed with black embossing powder and trimmed out.
The stamped images were than adhered to the card front with dimensional foam squares.
