Acrylic Scalloped Scrapbook Page with Clear Scraps~

Hi, Connie here with a scalloped edge acrylic scrapbook page using products by Clear Scraps.  I have created a short tutorial, to give a visual, of how the page was created.

Clear scraps_acrylic page1_c. mercer
Four photos were collaged to make a film strip type photo and then mounted on solid paper.  The pictures are of a hail storm that came through our area,
a few days ago.  The only one I can remember while living in this area of Texas.  Pretty exciting, too!!

Clear scraps_acrylic page2_c. mercer
Pattern paper was chosen for the scrapbook page.  The "Mother" chipboard word by Clear Scraps, was inked with Distress Oxide, coated with clear embossing powder and then using a heat tool embossed.  By embossing the chipboard word, the word stands out and the word has a shiny texture.  Remove the plastic film from both sides of the acrylic before adhering the pattern paper to the back of the acrylic.  Trace the shape on the pattern paper and  cut out.  Adhere to the back of the acrylic with Beacon Quick Grip.  The background paint splats were added with irRESISTible / gold embellisher.  It sticks to acrylic really well.

A journal pocket was created, out of a vintage library envelope, to hold the story of the hail storm that came through Belmont Texas.  What a day, is right!!!!

Clear Scraps: XL Scallops acrylic sheet
Clear Scraps: chipboard word "Mother"
Beacon Grip Grip

Creating Made Easy April Kit~Pocket Page

Hi, Connie here with a pocket page to share, using the Creating Made Easy April Kit and the 12" acrylic sheets by Clear Scraps. This is a great project for saving memorabilia together with the photos that were taken at the event.  I love keeping it all together. So easy to create and the pocket holds plenty!

Photo Strip Instructions:
First lets create the photo strips that are in the pocket.  By printing the photos smaller and adhering them on a strip of paper,  more photos can be shared on one page.  I'm all about one page capturing the entire event.

Clear scraps_acrylic pocket6_c.mercer
Four photos are collaged on  4" X 6" photo paper and printed out.  The collage is cut down the middle giving two photo strips.  Mount the photo strips on pattern paper.  You can make as many as you need to tell your story.

Memorabilia and Photo Pocket instructions:
Cut a piece of pattern paper 12" x 4", shade with ink and use a decorative border punch on the top edge. Shade with ink when finished.  This will be the pocket that holds the memorabilia and photo strips.

Chipboard Guitar Instructions:
Ink the chipboard guitar with Distress Oxide/Vintage Photo, cover with clear embossing powder, shake off the extra and emboss with a heating tool.

Instructions to assemble the Pocket Page:
Remove plastic film from both sides of the 12" X 12" acrylic sheet.  Add the pocket to the bottom of the acrylic page using Beacon adhesive or a tape runner. Mount the focal photo on the top left.  Mat with coordinating pattern papers from the Creating Made Easy April Kit. Turn the acrylic page over, to the backside of the pocket page, an adhere glue (Beacon 527) to the areas where the pocket was adhered and the focal photo.  Those spots of glue will hold the background pattern paper in place without showing glue stains through the acrylic ( sometimes happens).  Tag a small drop of glue in each top corner of the pattern paper, so the paper is secure.  Lay the acrylic front over the pattern paper you are using for the background.

Add the chipboard embossed guitar to the pocket and continue to decorate with stickers.  Add photo strips and memorabilia to the pocket.  Journal the event and add the journal card to the pocket, if you like.  Speckle lightly, with acrylic paint, on the pocket (be sure to cover the top of the page with scrap paper before you speckle).

March is still full of LOVE~ Clear Scraps!

Hi, Connie here with a layout page using the Expression Large Love Word by Clear Scraps.   You will need to have a pair of scissors and a steady hand to get started.  Creating with acrylic adds great dimension to a layout page.  Get those scissors~

March1a
The LOVE word is a vertical piece of acrylic.  To achieve this design the acrylic will need to be cut in half. Using scissors cut the acrylic below the heart.  Remove the plastic from both pieces.  Lay out the letters on the pattern paper and trace the shape.  Cut the letter shapes and adhere to the back of the acrylic pieces.  Ink with StazOn black around the acrylic.

Clear scraps-acrylic-expressions word-c.mercer
Attach both pieces of the word to the center of the layout with Beacon 3-IN-1.  Embellish the page and then tell your story.

Clear scraps_acrylic_c.mercer
Shading each letter makes the word really pop off the layout page.  Dimensional adhesive is used on the extra embellishments and stickers on the layout page.  The journal strips are created  in Microsoft Word, printed out, trimmed in strips and shaded with black ink.  Every other strip is adhered with dimensional adhesive.

Supplies used:
Clear Scraps: Expressions Large Love V
other: Beacon 3-IN-1 adhesive, StazOn/black
pattern paper, stickers, black ink (for splats)

Banners Acrylic Layout with Clear Scraps!

Hi, Connie here with a scrapbook page using the NEW Banners Acrylic Layout by Clear Scraps. This is just one, of many, that Clear Scraps have designed.  So many designs, something for everyone.  They are easy to use and are a great guide for placement of photos and embellishments.  The acrylic adds dimension to the page, plus it looks fantastic!!

Clear scraps_acrylic layout_c. mercer
Always remember to take off the plastic film before creating with acrylic.  On this piece the acrylic was inked with StazOn ink, black first and the white over the black, just the outside frame. The banners were covered with pattern paper and adhered to the acrylic, with Beacon adhesive.  Stickers were also used to decorate the banners and adding color to the page. Two of the spaces were used for photos and the other two for die cuts and a journal spot.

These are really fun to create with.  Looking forward to creating with more Acrylic Layout designs by Clear Scraps.  You can find them all HERE.

Air Balloon Acrylic Layout by Clear Scraps!

Hi, Connie here with another, awesome,  new release by Clear Scraps.  If you are a scrapbooker you will love this Air Balloon Acrylic Layout.  This is one design, Clear Scraps has many different and fun Acrylic Layout designs.

Acrylic overlay_clear scraps_c.mercer
Alcohol ink was used on parts of the design.  Blue for the clouds and red for the air balloon.   The inks will run and it didn't bother me one bit:).  Just remember to remove the plastic from the acrylic before applying the ink.

The acrylic layout was used as a guide only~ still leaves plenty of room to be creative.
