A Re-Purposed Lamp Shade~

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing a re-purposed (bare) lamp
shade.  I had the idea to use it as a display piece
for my mixed media tags. (I have another post with this lamp shade)
 Original Post HERE.

I lifted the lamp shade up by positioning it on the top of a large
wooden spool.  For now that is the way to will stay but I might need
something taller if I have more tags to add and start using the bottom
of the shade.

I used some clips, from my stash, but I do think a paper clip would work also.
My tags are chunky so they hung all wonky but I like the look.:):)

Before I added the tags to the lamp shade, I kept them on a large
"o" ring (and that worked great too).  I like this because I can see them better.

Creating a new space~

Hi guys!
I'm in a cleaning and re-arranging mood.  I have been
feeling crowded and no room to expand when I create.
So... I fixed that last night.

This is a vintage hospital examining table for a baby.  It is now
my die cutting station.  Waiting on a new machine to 
arrive.   I tell you all about as soon as it comes!
I love to re-arrange and make a room look different
 and fresh!
So back at it!

Ring File for One Line Sentiments ~ Tutorial

Hi guys!
I thought of another way to take
the One Line Sentiments by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps
 with you, without the stamps and the ink
  I showed you here  how to make a Folder File for 5
 colors of stamped out One Line Sentiments
 but what about a Ring File out of manila cardstock. 
Brown or black ink would be fab!!

I used 8 manila tags, the One Line Sentiments and Black ink. This
could be done with white cardstock too.

Step #1 ~ To get them all uniform stamp them out using a
stamping platform. 

Step #2 ~ Stamp each One Line Sentiment stamp set in your
choice of paper and ink.  You will have 7 sets. 

Step #3 ~ Add the cover (so stamped sentiments stay clean)
 and add "O" ring to keep them together.  This is just
another way to craft on the go with the
One Line Sentiments by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.

Folder File for One Line Sentiments ~ Tutorial

Hi!
I have an idea to share using the One Line Sentiments by Blue
 Knight Rubber Stamps. I thought it would be neat to have the One Line
   Sentiments already stamped out, in different inks and ready to travel
cause you never know when the mood will strike to create. 
 Anyway this is what I come up with ~ hope you make it!!

You make it with one sheet of pattern paper and the Extreme
Double Sided Tape by HomeHobby by 3L.  This tape holds the sides
together ~ so important:):)

Step #1 ~ 12x12 sheet of pattern paper, score at 6" L and 8"W.
Circle punch the pocket before the sides are adhered down.

Step #2 ~ After you have scored the paper add the Extreme
Double Sided Tape to the sides of each pocket and down the
middle of the pocket, creating a pocket on each side of the folder. 
Next step, fold up and adhere.

Step #3 ~ Cut 35 4x6 white cardstock cards.

Step #4 ~ There are 7 sets of One Line Sentiments.  Stamp each
set in each color of ink.  You will have a red, navy, green, black
and brown. for each One Line Sentiments stamp.

Step #5 ~ Label each color set with a colored tab. Insert the sets
 in each side of the folder.  You now have all (7 sets) of the
One Line Sentiments stamped out in 5 different colors of
ink and they are all in one place.  They are ready to cut with
 scissors or a trimmer to add to a card front.

One Line Sentiments by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps ~ the "why".

The concept behind the design of these stamps was an easy one.
I wanted stamped sentiments (one liners) that I could
stamp out and have ready to add to projects, at my finger tips.
I could add several on one project. What ever the project called for.
  Words are just as important as the art work. I loved the idea of 
lower case with a period. 
With that being said they make beautiful cards using the
 stamp as a background.  I will be showing lots of examples done
both ways.  Fun creating with them.  
So here is a short step out of the process:  

Using a stamping platform to stamp out on.  I also used 
scrap white cardstock.  I liked the look of Versafine Clair
the best. Don't press hard just normal pressure.

I used the shears by Tonic (they have a long cutting blade) to cut
the one line sentiments apart.  You can also use a trimmer.
When you get ready to use them I use the 3D Foam strips 
to adhere the One Line Sentiments to the project.  You can also
use liquid glue.

I'm using this vintage desk organizer as my One Line
Sentiments sorter.  I will showing two more ways to 
organize and store the One Line Sentiments.

There are seven sets of the One Line Sentiments. You can mix 
the sets, depending on the words you want to use.

World Card Making Day with Joy Clair ~ 2019

Hi guys!!
We are celebrating World Card Making Day at
Joy Clair!!!  We hope you will join us~

Challenge #1 ~ Share your work table / or area and 

 an organizing tip for art and craft supplies. 

I have several areas in my room that I have labeled stations.  This is where I stamp at.
Everything thing I need, to achieve that, is in this area.  It is a favorite
place for sure.  When I create I stand up.  I have never been able to
 create sitting  in a chair:).  I love to use eclectic, different, old, vintage items
 to house my craft/art supplies.

  My tip:  Organize your stash in items that make you happy and you enjoy
seeing.   My Joy Clair stamps are displayed in an old mail sorter box
that has metal dividers. It is wood and looks very vintage and that is what appeals to
 me about this very plain, simple box.  It really speaks to me!!!

KitxChange Travel Envelope Organizer~ Brilliant!!!!

Hi guys!!!

I have a really brilliant organizing product to share with you.  

It is called KitxChange and 

it is so clever and stylish too!!  

By organizing with this Travel Envelope by KitxChange a lot of bulk 

was reduced from my crafting shelves.  Let me show you~

Sequins and miscellaneous embellishments.  Plenty of room to add more pretties!

The clear plastic envelopes come in several different sizes, so it is a product that you can

 customize to your own needs.

This twine was on spools, in a box, that rarely got used (because it was hidden) but

 now it is in plain site and ready to grab and go!! 

The Travel Envelope has two zipper pouches that hold all kinds of things.  That is where I put the twine, all 16 spools.  

I had these pretty flat backs everywhere.  I wanted them all in one place so they would be easily seen and more likely to be created with.  The Travel Envelope was the perfect solution for this.

I love all the room the Travel Envelope has and how easy it is to fill and organize.  The clear plastic envelopes have Velcro on the backside of the decorative strip so they are easy to press into place on the felt backing.

Most of the embellishments that were added , the packages had ripped and the embellishments were in the bottom of the shelf.  I'm really happy with this organizing tool.  Hope you will take a look at the KitxChange!

Hi guys!!

I have something really cool to share~

If you ever see one of these floral frogs pick it up.  I've never seen one until

 last weekend.  I paid $9 and the seller wasn't sure if she wanted to sell it at

 first, but then did.

 I put painting brushes in it and love the look ~

The big brushes take up so much room in a jar, but this is perfect.  Markers, ink pens,  even some hand tools would work with this.  Just thought it was cool and wanted to pass it along!!!

Try It Tuesday~ more organizing, this time red rubber stamps!

Been awhile hasn't it ~

I saw this really cool post  on Stamping Mathilda a long time ago,

 but I never forgot it.

Since I re-painted my creative space I have been organizing and clearing out.  Anyway that is what led me back to this~ laminating the information or graphic sheet,that comes with the stamp, and sticking the red rubber stamp on the back.  It look great and so easy to grab and use. Let me show you ( I even have a really cute helper, too)

I had quite a few to laminate, so I got a helper :)

He separated the stamp from the image sheet.  He really loved the Butterfly.

 We did that one first!

The stamp clings to the back of the card that has been laminated. 

The background stamps by Darkroom Door are large and heavy.  I few of them fall off the back:(

Only a few though, 2 to be exact. I can live with 2 not complying. 

I put all the smalls in the sorter box. Works great.

The machine was on sale at Office Depot and the laminating pouches are not that pricey. 

I have also done other stamps and it works the same.  Still not finished.

 Need to get my helper back over.
