Mini Marks Stamp Set by Darkroom Door~

Hi!
Introducing a NEW mixed media set by Darkroom Door
called Mini Marks.  This set is designed by  Rachels
daughter Zoe and it is fabulous and so is she I got to meet her
 a couple of years back.

My inspiration for this was to use the
Mini Marks to enhance art journal images or
collage images.

I created a background using the large circles stencil and some
ink sprays. Easy!  Then I added in some Distress Oxide inks
for more color. Then the ladies from the Elegant  ladies Collage sheets.
Then I added the Mini Marks in random places. I also used the Butterfly,
Stitched Borders, Faded Circles, Number Medley
and Small
Sketched Alphabet.

I also paired the NEW You Matter Sentiments to the
collage ladies.  So fun!!! The sentiments are embossed and
then added to a lady. The Butterfly is stamped directly on to the art
journal page and the "you" words added to the center.
All adhesive is by Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L.

Thanks for stopping by!!
There is more to come~

Sunflowers by Darkroom Door~ An Art Journal Page.

Hi!
I'm showcasing my last project from the NEW RELEASE
by Darkroom Door.  This set is called Sunflowers!
So pretty!!  Great for cards too.

These are big images and that makes them perfect for an art
journal page. Let me show you~

The background is created with watered down Distress Oxide inks.
The stencil is added next for the brick wall. I stamped the Sunflowers
in random spots doing one big one and four smaller ones.  I
stamped a large and small Sunflower and colored them with Distress
Oxide inks and then trimmed out.  Those were placed over two of
the stamped Sunflowers adding dimension to the page.

The NEW Mini Marks are added along with numbers from
the Number Medley set.  The Elegant Ladies Collage Sheets
were added (just pieces) in random spots.  The sentiment is from
the Sunflower set and is embossed on black cardstock and
added to the journal page.  The last thing I did was speckle the
page with white acrylic paint (using an old toothbrush).
I just realized the four products that I got to work with go
so well together.  That is great designing Rachel!!!

Clipboard Frame Stamp by Darkroom Door~

Hi!!
Today I have a couple projects to share using the NEW
Clipboard Frame stamp by Darkroom Door.
The stamp reminds me of a vintage clipboard so
that was the inspiration.  I use them to showcase
favorite photos and ephemera.

.
I have all sizes, of clipboards,
hanging on my wall so it was easy.  Love them!

First project ~ a tag!!!

This is a mixed media style tag using many stamp sets
by Darkroom Door, to get a messy background.  I'm using
Distressed Oxide ink in the blues & brown tones.  Blue and
Brown look great together.  The Clipboard is stamped out with
Distress Oxide also. The grunge marks are added using
Archival black ink by Ranger.  Sets included are:
Clipboard (NEW)
Vintage Office, Number Medley, Faded Circles and
You Matter (NEW).

Second project ~ card.

I'm using the Layered handwriting background stamp as
my background for the clipboard frame stamp. It is matted
on black cardstock. The Clipboard (NEW) is decorated with the Number
Medley stamp set and the Small  Wildflowers stencil.  Also added is
stamps from Vintage Office and You Matter (NEW) Sentiment
stamp. The girl photo is from the Elegant Ladies Collage sheets.

Thanks for stopping by!!
Stay tuned for more NEW RELEASE projects using
Darkroom Door products.

Artful August Challenge with Rachel Greig ~

Hi!
This is the third year for Artful August Challenge with
Rachel Greig.  I'm so happy to announce I got to
create 4 art journal pages using the prompts that Rachel
suggested.

The four I'm going to show are 26 - 29.   So fun, all mixed media with
red rubber stamps!!!

You can find individual photos here on my instagram
 account crafty_mercer.
I used Distress Stain Spray, Distress Oxide ink and Archival inks
to create the background or starting point.  Stencils, stamps,
collage papers, ephemera, texture paste, embossing
powder just to name the many things that were used.  I used
close to 12 stamp sets and 8 stencils.
My goal is to finish all the prompts even it takes longer than a
month!

Thanks for stopping by.

Collage Botanical Sheets by Darkroom Door

Hi guys!
I have more NEW Collage sheets to share by Darkroom Door .
These are so fun to work with.  Art journal pages or cards you
choose.

I'm creating with the Botanical Collage sheets. So very cool!! I
used the collage sheets as the focal of the cards and then
added stencils and stamps.

The top card the Tall Flowers small stencil was added to
the front along with some bits and pieces of collage papers.
I used the Global Postmarks and the Long Distance Sentiment
Strip for the card greeting.  The bottom card is created in the
same manner.  I used the Take Flight stamp for the small
silhouette butterflies and the Adventure Sentiment Strip
for the card greeting.  I added white acrylic paint to the edges
of the cards for a distressed look.
All adhesive used is by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Check out all the NEW RELEASE from Darkroom Door.

NEW Collage Paper by Darkroom Door ~ Elegant & Botanicals.

Hi guys!!
Darkroom Door has come out with a NEW
RELEASE
of collage papers If you love creating
art journal pages, mixed media type projects
you will love these.

I used both of the collage sheets on the art journal page that
I created.  I used Distress Oxide ink and Versafine Clair.

I used a ton of Darkroom Door stamps and stencils.  I began by
laying the color down and then layering the NEW collage papers
I used papers from both sets.  Super fun!!
Texture paste was added along with more stencils.  This
is a In and Out Journal so it made it easy to stamp and
stencil in.

When I create art journal pages I just go with it. I rarely have a
plan or design in mind. Most of the time something will trigger a
path of design.  With this page it was the girl and the quote used.

The products I used are listed below.  Darkroom Door does not retire
stamps so they will be on the website here.
You Are Everything, Sketched Numbers, Number Medley,
Carved Leaves Vol.1, Be Brave/Quote, Faded Circles/Abstract are
the stamps used.  Friendship/Med. Stencil and Mesh, Handwritten Script
are small stencils.
Main thing here is have fun and create!!!

Artsy Squares Collage Stamp by Darkroom Door~

 Hi guys!!
Darkroom Door has released a bunch of new stamps
and guys they are fab!!!!  I will be sharing
my creations over the next couple of months.
I got to work with the Artsy Squares Collage Stamp
and it is so retro in design.  Love it!!

card no.#1

This card is created with Distress Oxide inks and the NEW Artsy Squares stencil
for the background.  The stamped image was cut a part and added to the
card front with dimensional adhesive. I also used the NEW Faded Circles
for a mixed media look.
Other stamps used by Darkroom Door are the NEW Small Sketched
Alphabet
and Being Creative Quote Stamp.

card no.#2

This is a fun one!  I stamped the image on heavy cardstock twice and
colored the squares with bright Distress Oxide inks.  I stamped over the
design using the Number Medley Set.  The quote is the NEW
Creative People Quote Stamp.
I had extra Artsy Squares, from trimming
the card front down, so those were added in random spots on the card
front.

All adhesive used is by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will take a look
at the NEW RELEASE over on the Darkroom Door
Blog
