It seems every season I make something new for my little
kitchen table. It’s more a round bar
table, but it reminds me of a place where two friends can share a cup of
coffee.
It’s Christmas so time for another centerpiece.
I created a tree from a Styrofoam cone and my scraps.
Ingredients: Bo Bunny
paper; Stryrofoam cone; Technique Tuesday tiles FUNdamentals of Snow; Sizzix’s
Tim Holtz Decorative Strip Mini Paper Rosettes; Ranger’s Stickles Frosted;
Fiskars Round ‘n Round X-Large, Large, Medium, and thumb punch; pins; Tim Holtz
Idea-ology Fragments and Baubles; Glossy Accents, Graphic 45 Nutcracker
Sweet; white tulle; Webster’s Pages
ruffled ribbon; twin to tie the tulle onto.

This is simple to put together from your scraps. I did not go out and buy anything. The main note to make is when building your
tree after you punch out the circles, add and let dry the Frosted Stickles, is
to build your tree from the bottom up.
It is so much easier to overlap the edges when you start at the
bottom. Yes, I know by experience. LOL I
used simple sewing pins to place my circles.
Add your garland. I
just looped the tulle around the twine and trimmed it to size. This is where keeping those small pieces of
scrap tulle pays off.
Make your ornaments and hang them. I added a bit of ribbon and baubles.
I pinned the ribbon to the underneath edge of the cone.
I can take everything apart and store later or remake into
something else.
