Hi everyone~yes it's a junkin' post. Aren't these pretty? Milk caps that wrap around the top of the bottle. I'm sure some kind of machine does it so it is sanitary. I thought they were pretty cool!!!
This is what was in the bag that I paid $1 for. There were some pens and pencils too, but this is what I was interested in. Not to many printed ones but lots of milk cap blanks. I love blanks, let me show you why~
I have a stamp set by Maya Road that is a milk cap, dates and days. I have had it long before I started collecting milk caps~love how things work out sometimes. Any way I stamped these blanks up so you can see how cute they are, just as cute as the old ones.
I used black StazOn ink and rusty brown for the days. I wish I had red, but no red here.
The milk caps dry fast and no time to stamp them. I'm going to give this set to one lucky blog follower just email me your addy {I love doing quick fun little give-a-aways, for my blog followers}, USA only. Don't post addy in the comments:):):) Yep thats a hint I might give more than one set away~just let me know if you would use them in a project.

I so remember the days when milk was delivered to our house. We had an insulated milk box on the front porch to hold the glass bottles. I think they only came with the paper tops. Don't remember the foil ones. So cool that you found these and you can create your own. Love them! The perfect embellie for a page. :)

ReplyDeleteHello, I just read your post and I love these bottle tops. I'm into 1940's re enactments and I have a vintage bike that I take along to these "do's" it has a basket on the front that I fill with vintage groceries and I have a couple of milk bottles but no tops. Would you consider selling me a set please as I'd be very grateful indeed. Thank you very much and I hope you don't mind me asking, Lucey xx
