Basically Bare's Krafty Keepsakes Vintage Album~

Hi everyone~hope you had a great Mother's Day, I sure did!!! I have been enjoying working with the Basically Bare goodies I won at the class at Craft Crossing.  I used the Krafty Keepsakes Vintage Album, Stack-a-Bellies Birds, Celestial Shapes, Fanciful Frames Set and Happy Little Tree Set!!The cool part is I made them what I needed them to be.  The paper is by The Paper Loft.  I covered the chipboard pieces with the paper and then inked {Ranger}around the edges.  Here is a look at the inside~

The first 3 pages I splattered the pages with paint and spritz with Tattered Angels mists.  The album has 4 envelope pages and one chipboard page.  Helmar 450 Quick Dry did all the glueing!!

The next 2 pages and back of album.  I journaled on one of the envelopes, added tag pull outs to another one and I still have room for some memorabilia that I'm going to scan and add!!! Lots of room to tell your story and keep the memories!!! If your not familiar with this product ~take a look. Tons of cute chipboard pieces ready for you to make them the way you want:):). I like that!!!  Just thought I would share a very cool product with you.

Try It Tuesday~salt dough cut outs!

Hi everyone~so glad to be home and in my own bed!!! We had an awesome time with our kids and loved seeing the countryside and of course going junkin', which we did plenty of.  Today I'm going to show you how to make salt dough cookies.  I'm making these for my girl grands for their Next Generation Dolls {when they want to have a tea party} and need treats.

Recipe is:
1 Cup salt, 2 Cups of flour and 1 cup warm water ~ bake @ 350F for 1 hr.
************
I used old Hors D'Oeuvre cutters to make the shapes.  I rolled the dough out about 1/8" thick and then used the cutters.  I put holes in them and then ended up not wanting the holes, so I just filled the holes with paint.  If you want the cookies to air dry, that is fine~if you want them to not be brown{like a cookie} cook then at a cooler temp. like 200F.

Here they are right out of the oven~

The paints I used are by Plaid and they have a pointed applicator tip~great for this kind of detail.

I have lots left, so I think I will let them paint some too.  They love any kind of art!!!

I see a tea party in my near future!!! and the dishes are Jadite {a gift from my mom}~Love them!!!!

I hope you enjoyed this~if you are interested, I used to make salt dough pastries and sell them.  If you would like to see some of these creations, let me know and I will follow up with a blog post under this one.  They are fun to make and look pretty on a plate especially during the Holidays.  Have a great day and I'll see ya soon!!!!

NSD and some Vintage Street Market~

Hi scrappers~today is NSD, there are tons of places online doing blog hops, crops and giveaways~I wish I could play.  We are having a Spring party in Indania, so we are making cup cakes, deviled eggs and salad!!! The men are in charge of the meat!!!  We are also making a Spring Banner~
This is  the work I did for Vintage Street Market ~ I love the Bingo Craft cards, Twirly Twine and the Family Fun Collection!!!

The layout using the Family Fun Collection, Twirly Twine, Bingo Craft cards and the Tinted Tape!!!

The card~using the Family Fun Collection~love lining the inside of the envelope with the matching paper!!!
I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry to adhere the Bingo card to the tissue tape~works awesome!!!

This is a cute gift idea, using a vintage soda bottle!!!
