Button Garland added to a Mixed Media Garden Tag~

 Hi there!
Today I want to share a mixed media tag that I added
a little string of button garland to the bottom of the tag.
Love the movement that one thing, added to the tag.
I'm using the Spring Value Pack by Buttons Galore & More.

The background is a mix of distress oxide inks that are put
down in layers.  I dry with a heat tool after each color.
By doing this the color won't turn to a muddy mess. 

To create the button garland, string the buttons (through the button holes)
on the bakers twine.  You will be able to move them where you want
them and then tie off the ends. Don't miss the little bird button in the
flower!! So cute!!

A sunflower (shank) button was added to a pear pin and attached to
the top of the tag.

RubberStampMadness Magazine Summer Issue 2024

Hi there!!
Have you seen the Summer Issue of RubberStampMadness
 yet?  It is full of inspiration!!!!  It will make you want
to create a card or project. So good!! 

One of my favorite cards was selected for the Summer Issue.
This card is a patriotic card thanking and bringing
attention to our service men.  All the stamps are by 
Blue Knight Stamps and made in the USA (as is the magazine)

This card is colored in with Panpastels and Distress Oxide inks.
The stamps used  are Through the Woods, Iwo Jima, Daring 
Adventure stamp & dies, Let's ride, and One Line Sentiments/
thank you.  The flag is painted with acrylic paint and cut out
from stamped print.

This one wasn't published but they were created to be a set.
Don't you love the dog in the bed of the truck :):)

Creating with Blue Knight Stamps ~

Hey there!
Today I'm sharing a couple of projects
I did using Blue Knight Stamps.  Looking to
create a fun and trendy tag and art journal page.
This is what I came up with ~

The tag is embossed using the Kind Words Bouquet Stamp
by Blue Knight.  Clear embossing powder and distressed
oxide inks complete the look.  

Added interest to the background inclues the background
stamps called Birth of Jesus and a number stencil by Darkroom Door.
  The butterfly is from the Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly set.

The button dangle is created using the Spring Value Pack by
Buttons Galore & More.  Coupon code in side bar.

The second project is a small art journal page (4X6) in size.

The background is created with distress oxide inks and a stencil
by Sweet 'n Sassy called Mixed Up. The words are from the
One Line Sentiments/blessings.  The word strips are out
lined with a black marker and then colored with distress oxide
ink for a fun and trendy look. Love It!!!

The ivy branch is hand painted, just mixing it up. All
adhesive is by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Grateful Mixed Media Tag~

Hi there!!!
I have a fun mixed media tag to share using red rubber
stamps by Paper Artsy (bought
from Topflight stamps) called ESN 67 and HP 2401.

I really love the color mix of Distress Oxide inks for
the background.  I used Prized Ribbon, Wilted Violet, and
Twisted Citron.  I also used texture paste and a stencil 
when creating the background along with the stamps by
Paper Artsy.

I also added buttons dangling from a pear pin from
the Spring Value Pack by Buttons Galore & More.  See picture below.

The sentiment is embossed using WOW! Embossing
Powder on black cardstock.  Then adhered to the tag using
3D Foam Strips by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.  The
Paper Dolls are by Tim Holtz.

To do list Art Journal Page~

Hi there!!
I have a fun art journal page to share using
mainly Sweet 'n Sassy/Creative Worship stamps.

The background is a mixture of Distress Oxide inks.  I use
them like I would water colors. The oxide reacts with water
so that gives another distressed look to the page.  

The background stamp called Messy Marks really got my
attention.  I couldn't wait to order it.  I colored some of the boxes,
that the stamp creates, with the oxide inks.  Love the look it
gave the page.  This has some collage elements also. The focal, 
the bird in the nest, and in the right hand top corner the postage stamp.

Products used:
Sweet n' Sassy/Creative Worship: to do list, Going postal, grunge 
elements, Birthday Word Art, Messy Marks BG stamp and Mixed Up
 stencil.
Paperartsy: Mattint Squeezed (used on the postage stamp).

A set of four mixed media tags ~so fun!

Today I'm sharing a set of four mixed media tags
that I created a few weekends back.  So fun when
I get to have a crafty weekend!!

These are created with Distress Oxide inks and lots of 
different stamps.  Red rubber, clear photopolymer, border stamps, 
background stamps ~ all kinds!!!

Small Art Journal pages~

Hi there!
I came across this small 4x6 art journal and thought It
could be treated like a tag except I could keep the pages, in the
journal, all together!    

I used Distress Oxide inks and stamps by Katzelkraft called
Spiral Borders and Ephemera.  Both of these sets work so well
used together. 

The word stickers are by Creative Expressions called Hello 
Spring.  They come on a sheet and you cut off what you need.
I bought these products at Topflight stamps.  All adhesive is by
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Sarah's Tag ~ mixed media style!

Hi there!!
Today I'm sharing a mixed media style tag that I created
for a wedding shower.  This was so perfect for her!!
 She is a talented singer in our church so
the stamps by Creative Worship/Sweet 'n Sassy called 
Sing Loud worked well for this project..

I used Distress Oxide inks for the background and coloring
the singing birds.  These are the colors she is using for her 
wedding.

The colors are fossilized amber, rusty hinge, festive berries and 
rustic wilderness. 

The stamps used are called Sing Loud (retired), Geometric BG, 
Psalm 23 BG, Birthday Word Art, Faith Wordfetti, Mini Grunge
Type Alpha and Mixed Up stencil.  You can find most of these
stamps on the Creative Worship by Sweet 'n Sassy site.

Adhesive used is by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

It's Topflight Stamps 7th birthday and time to celebrate. I’ve teamed up 
with some great designers to showcase celebratory projects using
 the unique products available at Topflight Stamps.  Please hop

I created an Art Journal page and two mixed media style tags.  I will list the
products after each project is explained.  I'm using Katzelkraft, 
Studio Light, Paper Artsy and Darkroom Door.  

The background is created with a mix of Distress Oxide inks.  I then
added some very cool eclectic stamps from Kazelkraft using Archival/
Jet Black ink.  The focal images (crazy birds) and the text is stamped out,
colored and then trimmed.  The elements are added to the front
of the page with wet glue and dimensional adhesives.  To complete
the mixed media (messy look) I speckled with black acrylic paint.
Products: Katzelkraft: Les Accessoires,  Les Piafs (crazy birds),
 Literary Quotes, Contraptions and Things, Ephemera.  Darkroom Door:
Stitched Borders and Ransom Alphabet.  Paper Artsy: HP 2401 and
HP 2402.

I'm using tags by Studio Light as the base for my mixed media creations.

The instructions for the tags are the same as the Art Journal page.
Same steps make it easy!!!

This tag is created in the same manner but I was thinking
about Rachel Greig when I created it.   The last few years she
has been a part of the Topflight Stamps Birthday Blog Hop and
I didn't want her to miss this year.  So this is for Rachel!!!
Such a great friend and talented artist. 
Products used: Darkroom Door: Handwritten Ledger, Fine
Flowers vol.2, Fine Leaves, Number Medley, Take Flight, Milestone 
 and Great Friend (small stamps).

Change is a Beautiful Thing Card with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L~

Hi!!
Today I'm sharing a Card using a mix of colors and some
awesome adhesives by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L over on
their BLOG!! 

As always I have a tutorial over on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L
Blog with step out photos.  Hope you will take a look and check out

on small embellishments like buttons and flat back pearls.

Sea Life with Blue Knight Stamps~

Hi there!
I have a card to share using the Night Papers with the Sea Life
red rubber stamp and the dies by Blue Knight Stamps.  Instead
of using the pattern paper as a night sky, I'm using it
as a deep ocean water scene.

I used the backside of the pattern paper for this look.  I added some
distressing by running the pattern wheel over the pattern paper with
acrylic white paint.  The  dies are added with dimensional adhesive and
I love the pop it gives the card front.

The sentiment is added using One Line Sentiments/blessings.
I added white acrylic paint to the edges to anchor the ocean
floor.  Looks like bubbles too!

Beached Canoe with Blue Knight Stamps~

Hi there!
I'm sharing a scenery card using the Beached Canoe
by Blue Knight Stamps.  I usually color with
panpastes and Distress Oxide ink but on this card I'm 
using colored pencils, colors and panpastels.  The pencils
and colors are by CARAND'ACHE.  They are a Swiss made
product.  Blue Knight sells these at StamperCon and other
stamping shows that they participate in. 


I'm also using one of last One Line Sentiments sets I did for Blue Knight  
Stamps called Did you know~.   Really sweet set and goes with just about 
any theme.  
I used the panpastels to do most of the coloring and then highlighted
with the pencils and colors.  My goal is to make my project
pleasing to my eye:):) 
All adhesives used are by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.
