Try It Tuesday~ craft room make over, finally!

Hi guys!

Thanks for stopping by for Try It Tuesday!\I finally have my pictures of my

 craft room that I had re-painted in January.  I let go of lots of stuff and tried new ways of organizing my craft supplies.  I have already shared several ideas on my blog.  I'm sharing the over all look of my area  with a few close-ups.

Over all picture coming from the kitchen into the room~

I did away with the blue paint and wen t with a beige color. 

 Going light really brightened up the area.

I really wanted to add an area to sit ~ I didn't have enough room to put

 a big comfy chair in but I was able to do this~

Spurs camp with S.e.i.~

Hi, Connie here with a scrapbook page using the Florets Collection by S.e.i.  This collection was perfect for the pictures I wanted to scrapbook. The pictures I'm using are bright and full of fun and so are the papers in the Florets Collection.  Just check out those smiles~not. They did assure me they had a great time.

The bright pinks and orange colors match the t-shirts the kids are wearing.  The papers from the Florets Collection really make the photographs pop!!  Such a great collection of colors and designs!!! 

I also added embellishments from the Sundries Florets pack and stickers from the sticker sheet that comes in the Florets Collection.  Check out all the paper collections at S.e.i. and start creating beautiful scrapbook pages this summer.  Get the kids involved too.  That will surely bring a smile to their face!  Family crafting at its finest with S.e.i.

Flag Day with Quick Quotes!

Hi, Connie here with a scrapbook page using the Urban Oasis collection (coming soon) by Quick Quotes.  Love the primary colors in this paper.  Perfect for that Patriotic page you have been wanting to create.

The photo strips were created in Picasa.  I had so many cute pictures I wanted to use them all.  The rainbow colors go great with these themed photos.

The chipboard stars are colored with Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks.   Really makes the job, of adding color to the chipboard, very easy and a great looking end result.

Try It Tuesday~ repainting a Spinner!

Thanks for stopping by for Try It Tuesday!

I have been wanting to paint my Spinner (the one that you get at Harbor Freight for $19.) ~

It comes in black, not very inspiring :)

And check out all those buttons this thing will hold~ yes, all those trinkets

 were in that Spinner.  Surprised me too:)

So I did~

Not as hard as I thought~

I took it apart and using spray paint, changed the color!!!

Put it back together and I have an inspiring spinner!

Matches both of my desks.  Fun project!!

Celebrating 4th of July with Clear Scraps!

Hi, Connie here with a 4th of July Mixed Tag album using acrylic and chipboard tags by Clear Scraps.  I used six tags and two 6" stencils and some really cool Patriot paper.  I loved the cards in this set and that is what inspired me to do a mini tag album so the cards would be enjoyed by all.  So vintage and so me.


See what I mean~really cool cards!!!  This wasn't my time period but it was my dads.

I also added some vintage Dennison label stickers that I picked up junkin'.  Thought they fit my theme.

Texas Windmill with Darkroom Door~

I guys!

I have a card to share that screams "TEXAS" using stamps by Darkroom Door.  

The Country Windmill Photo stamp and the "follow your heart" Quote stamp worked great 

together to create this card:)

Stamp the Windmill image on Kraft cardstock using black ink. Trim out.  Shade with Distress inks. Stamp Quote: follow your heart on Kraft cardstock, with Cobalt blue ink. Cut words out. Adhere words to Windmill front. Mat on white cardstock.  Adhere to deep green cardstock for card front.  Stamp a small star with yellow ink and adhere to center of the Windmill.  Add sparkle to Windmill.  Speckle with watered down yellow acrylic paint.  I use an old tooth brush to get the splat effect.

June Tag, "life is good" with Clear Scraps!

Hi, Connie here to share my June tag using the Air Balloon chipboard embellishment, on a chipboard tag, all made in the USA, by Clear Scraps.  Follow along with the tutorial~



Products used:
Clear Scraps Chipboard tags
Clear Scraps 6” Chevron stencil
Clear Scraps Chipboard /Hot Air Balloon
Other:
Paper: Teresa Collins
Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk Ink and Archival ink by Ranger
S.e.i./Tumble Dye (for ribbon)
Beacon Adhesive
trim, twine and paper flowers

Add color to Hot Air Balloon by Clear Scraps.

Cut paper the shape of the tag. Stencil Chevron pattern on paper front of tag, in several places, using the Archival ink in Black.

Shade the edges of the tag with Brown ink and adhere the Hot Air Balloon to the paper front of the tag.

Glue Hot Air Balloon chipboard with Beacon 3-IN-1. Then glue the tag paper front to the chipboard tag. 

Add trim. ( I used Tumble Dye to add Brown color to the white ribbon)
