Celebrating Fall with Darkroom Door!

Hi guys!
I have a fall card to share, using one of my favorite stamp sets, by Darkroom Door.  My favorite time of the year is fall, the leaves dropping and changing, but most of all the colors of the leaves.
Showcasing the  Carved Leaves Vol 2
These leaves look amazing stamped in fall colors, cut out and clustered
together, just like they fell from a tree.  That was the look I was going for!

Other supplies used:
Darkroom Door stamps: Frame/Film, Brushed Sentiments, Photography and Carved Leaves Vol.2.
Archival ink by Ranger, S.e.i. Tumble Dye/Black, Wink of Stella, Authentique paper and stickers.

This is not a sponsored post, just me creating with some awesome stamps!!!

Quick Quotes and Xyron ~ Perfect!!!

Hi, Connie here with a scrapbook page using the new collection, Winter Bliss, by Quick Quotes. We are also, so excited to be using products by Xyron.

The Winter Bliss collection is full of pinks, turquoises and blue shades of color.  Reminds me of a good winter storm. Love the colors in this collection. Spot on Quick Quotes!! Using the Xyron products made adding adhesive, to the embellishments, a whole lot easier.

#1 ~ The 510 Sticker Maker machine, with a permanent refill in place, is perfect for applying adhesive on a long script word.  Makes it so easy.  Load the word, facing up, and run it through the Xyron 510.
#2 ~ For the small embellishments use the 150 Sticker Maker. Doesn't get any easier.
#3 ~ When you have run the embellishment through the machine, rub the embellishments with your finger, to make sure the adhesive adheres to embellishment.  Then tear off the backing and it ready to stick down.
#4 ~ The Mega Runner was used for adhering the papers together and the photos.  You can use as much as you need or as little. The adhesive comes out in little sections.  It also has a cap over the adhesive tip for when your not using it.  Thought that was very helpful and a great idea!!

The journal strips were adhered with the Xyron 150 Sticker Maker too.  So easy and convenient.

The arrows were adhered using the Xyron 150 and the Winter Bliss stripped pattern paper was adhered using the Xyron 510 Sticker Maker.

Supplies Used:
Quick Quotes Winter Bliss: 1103, 1104, 1105. (coming soon)
Farmhouse Die Cut stickers
Farmhouse Chipboard Die Cuts
Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks: Aqua, Caribbean Blue and Midnight Confessions
Xyron: Mega Runner, 150 Sticker Maker and 510 Sticker Maker

other:
stickers, white cardstock, corner punch and Tumble Dye by S.e.i.

Try It Tuesday ~ with Buttons Galore & More

Hi guys!!!
Thanks for stopping by for Try It Tuesday!!!
I have these gorgeous buttons by Buttons Galore & More to create with
and I have the perfect project to use them on.

I had some material that matched the buttons, so that is where I started~

Remember these? I made them in 4-H . My first project I sewed
using a sewing machine:)
Instructions:

Step 1 ~ Cut the material 7" long and 6 1/2" wide.
Step 2 ~ Fold the material with it meeting in the center.  Make a straight edge on each side and glue it down.  I used hot glue.
Step 3 ~  Glue the end together with hot and glue and clamp for a few minutes.
Step 4 ~ Turn them right side out and sew on the buttons.
The facial tissues come 8 to a pack and are called a pocket pack.
Eight small little "thank you" gifts is what I see!!

Please visit Buttons Galore & More, if you love buttons you will love this site.

Simple Blessings with S.E.I.

Hi, Connie here with a fun project using the Simple Blessings Collection by S.E.I.  Fall is right around the corner and I have a grandson that loves pumpkins, so I knew what I needed to make!!   A pumpkin it will be.

I used a wooden letter "C" and turned it on its side to get the shape of a pumpkin.  I adhered a tree branch to the top for the pumpkin stem and then covered the wooden letter with pattern paper from the Simple Blessings Collection. The edges of the wooden letter were sanded down after the paper was adhered, for a clean smooth edge.  Using the die-cut pack and the sticker pack I clustered embellishments around the branch, at the top of the pumpkin.  Gave it a fun festive look.

Black and red Tumble Dye were speckled on the front of the pumpkin, creating this home decor piece for Fall.
I hope you enjoyed this project!!

Try It Tuesday~hand carved stamps and what I made using them!

Hi guys!!!
I have been carving stamps this past couple of weeks. I did a little "creature set" ~
I don't draw very good, so I found a beginners drawing book (in steps) on how
to draw simple images.  Very helpful!!

Supplies I used to create "happy birthday" gift tags~

Hand carved stamps, Dylusions ink spray, Archival ink, Manila tags,
  Whisker Graphics/twine
and Darkroom Door "happy birthday" set.

Step 1: Spray the tags with different colors and dab with a paper towel. Set aside to dry.
Step 2: Stamp with hand carved stamps using different colors of ink.
Step 3: Stamp sentiment on tag.
Step 4: Add twine.

The hand carved stamps have imperfections. I have some too!

A Shaker Angel tag with Clear Scraps!

Hi, Connie here with a great idea for a Holiday gift tag, and an added bonus~ a Christmas ornament. Yes, two functions in one.  I used the new Mini Shaker Angel by Clear Scraps! Beautifully designed  and easy to create with.

Angel tag1

I used several stencils to create a background on the large black tag.  Using white acrylic paint, a sponge and the Snowflake border and the 6" Imagine stencil by Clear Scraps the background was created.  The Shaker Angel was created using pattern paper, acrylic paint and sequins (for the inside of the Shaker Angel).  Very simple, just glue the pieces together making a frame, then glue the back on after the shaker has been filled with sequins, as in my example.

Angel tag2

These are really fun and Clear Scraps has different Shaker's to choose from.  Great for family crafting night!!

    Stitching with Whiskers Graphics ~

Hi, Connie here with a fun project using the Divine Twine by Whisker Graphics. Cross stitching with Divine Twine is just like stitching with thread but so much easier.  The twine doesn't get tangled like the thread does making it easier to stitch a project.

Products used: Divine Twine: red. white and navy
other: String Creations Stitch Blank by Plaid Crafts, button, sticker and stars.

After the placement of the colors were determined I started stitching with the white twine first.
I threaded a needle with a big eye and began sewing like I would on material.  Easy!!!!

I skipped around with the red and white twine because I was curious about how it would look.  So I stitched a few rows of red and then went back and filled in with the white twine.  When the stitching was completed the stars were added along with the button and sticker.  I'm pretty sure it will be the star of my Christmas tree this year.
