    Hello with S.e.i.~

Hi, Connie here with a scrapbook page using the Florets Collection by S.e.i.   I love the bright papers that scream "Spring is Here" to me.  I have been saving these sweet photos for just the right papers.  Florets by S.e.i. is designed beautifully and so perfect!!

The stickers are on a sticker sheet that comes in the collection.  So easy to add and create embellishments using the stickers from the Florets Collection.  I created a small banner using the Hello stickers on the sticker sheet.  All that was added extra was twine.

The Florets die-cut pack is full of die-cut flowers that look really cute on a scrapbook page.  They are ready to create with, just add adhesive to the back of the die -cut.

Tumble Dye by S.e.i is not just for fabric projects.  Tumble Dye makes a great looking splat for those scrapbook pages.  That is one of my favorite uses for Tumble Dye.  Black and Brown are a must have.  Check out S.e.i., it is full of Summer fun!

Try it Tuesday~a re-purposed yard rack!

    Hi guys!
My hubby brought this in and it needed some TLC.  I cleaned it up, re-painted
and then decorated it up for my back door:)

Looks big but it is not. I think it is out of a children's set of yard tools.

It was wobbly and rusty but not anymore.  Nothing some paint and glue won't fix.

Added some pretties and it is ready for the back door.  Love doing
    quick little projects like this.

Wrapped twine around the top of the handle for a door hanger.  I think it would be really
cute wired on a wreath also, with flowers all around it.   When I do these quick projects I use what I have on hand. Adds to the fun!!

    Happy Summer :)

Farmhouse Collection with Quick Quotes~a scrapbook page!

Hi, Connie here with a scrapbook page using the Farmhouse Collection by Quick Quotes.   I thought the patterns and colors, in the papers, were perfect for my Dad's birthday pictures.

I started by using a punch to create the large scalloped circle design from the Farmhouse paper.

I shaded  the edges of the scalloped circle with Seabrook PowderPuff Chalk ink by Quick Quotes. The dark blue Farmhouse paper was shaded with Navy PowderPuff Chalk ink by Quick Quotes.

The next step was creating the scalloped borders, using a scallop border punch, and then shading them.
After the border strips are shaded, they go above and below the photos.  Add the title and cluster embellishments below the photos.

    Quick Quotes products used:
    Farmhouse: 106, 107 and 105
    Farmhouse chipboard die cuts
Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks: Coal Miner, Seabrook, Navy and Light Moss.

    other:
    Darkroom Door stamps
    stickers

Try it Tuesday~ A large paper Star from paper lunch bags!

    Hi guys!
Thanks for stopping in for Try it Tuesday!!!  This is not my idea.  I saw it on FB and
pinned it to my Pinterest board and that is where it stayed until this past weekend.
Have you seen the large star that is made from paper bags?
    Super cute, right!!

To make this it takes 7 lunch bags ( I used 8, trying to be different) ~
I can walk you through this but here is the original post for the Giant Paper Bag Stars

These are the bags I purchased.  I haven't made a Kraft Star yet, but I will.
To make the paper bag star you hot glue 7 bags ,one on top of another, creating a stack of bags.
Then you cut the tips off the bags to make a point.  Then you hot glue the front bag to the back bag.
Use a hole punch to make a hole, to run twine through, for a hanger.

To add the color, I created a mask for the blue and then cut strips for red.
The products I used were Dylusions by Ranger in Postbox Red and London Blue.
I used what I had on hand.  The next step I did was add chipboard stars (sprayed with Dylusions /White Linen). Adhere to paper bag star.

Final step was splattering, the paper bag star, with black and white
      irRESISTible texture spray.
Check out the link posted above.  Very easy and fun to make!!
You still have plenty of time to make this for the 4th of July :) !!
    I hope you do!!!

Creating a Shaker page is easy with Clear Scraps!

Hi, Connie here with a stack of parking tickets that I thought would really cool used as a background for a scrapbook page.  The only thing is, they will move and that is how I came up with a Shaker page.  Clear Scraps to the rescue!!  The Dazed Round is what I need~

    Junetut2

Start out by cutting a circle out of the center of the 12" paper.

    Junetut

Remove the plastic film from the Dazed Round by Clear Scraps and glue it over the circle cutout.   Beacon 1-IN-3 work great!  Arrange the tickets, in my case, on the acrylic Dazed Round.  When they are arranged to your liking, glue cardstock to the back of page.   You have just created a Shaker style page.  Decorate the front and tell your story!!

    Junetut3

Clear Scraps products used: Acrylic Dazed Round. , 6" Chevron stencil and Chipboard Word embellishment (Surprise)
    other:
    Beacon
    Paper: Bella Blvd.
    Ink: Quick Quotes, S.e.i.

Try It Tuesday~more Book Stack Photo Stamp by Darkroom Door!

    Hi guys!
Thanks for stopping by for Try It Tuesday!
I have another idea for you using the Book Stack Photo Stamp
    by Darkroom Door.

Book plates for the inside of that special book or for your home library.

Stamp the Book Stack stamp on white cardstock with different colors of ink.  Trim them out and
adhere the book plate, to the inside of the book you are wanting the label.

I really like the look of the book plate on a well loved book.

Stamp the "clip" on the top of the Book Stack image.  Trim out.   Stamp the To: and From: on the Book Stack image in black Archival ink.  Stamp the word "read." from the Sensational/Quote on white cardstock and trim it out. Adhere to the top of the Book Stack.  Use double sided tape to adhere on the inside cover of a book.
Great way to use the Book Stack stamp while adding a personal touch to a gift.

Darkroom Door ~ Book Stack Photo Stamp

    Hi guys!!!
I have some cool Darkroom Door to share with you today!!! I'm using
the Photo Stamp/Book Stack which is one the newly released stamps.

    Book markers~

This stamp can be used to make so many things, just think " books".
These are done using white tags. Stamp image of Book Stack on the tags. I created both tags at one time. Use green Archival ink to stamp the Book Stack image on the tags. Spray the tags using Distressed Spray Stains by Ranger.  Blue, green, yellow and orange are the colors I used.  Dry with a heating tool. Go around the tags with the sewing machine border found in the Stitched Borders set.  Using the Paint Splats set add some splats to the Book Markers.  Let dry~  Speckle with black paint.  When it is completely dry, if you like, laminate the book markers.   Add different colors of trim.for a finished look.

    Darkroom Door products:
    Book Stack/Photo stamp
    Sensational/Quotes stamp
    Paint Splats
    Stitched Borders

    other:
    Distress Spray Stain/Ranger
    Archival ink/Ranger

Another idea~ a card to encourage Summertime reading :)

Using the Gazette background, stamp it on Kraft cardstock using black ink. Trim out.  Use Stitched Borders and go around the Gazette with the sewing machine stitch.  Use black ink.  Mat on black cardstock and then on Kraft cardstock.  Stamp the Book Stacks on white cardstock two times, using black ink. Trim the book stack out and an extra book.  Color the books.  I used the PITT big brush pen by Faber-Castell. Stamp out a small Butterfly, for the top of the Book Stack, and color it also.  Trim out.  Adhere Book Stack to card front. Add the extra book to the bottom of the Book Stack. Add the small Butterfly to the top of the Book Stack.  Add  Read. word to the bottom corner of the card.
