Folk Flower stencil by Clear Scraps!

Hi, Connie here with a card using one of the new Folk Flower 6" stencil by Clear Scraps.  Stencils are a clever way to add color and design to your card front.  They also make a mean background for projects.

Card

I colored the stencil in with Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks.  I tape off the section so ink doesn't get in parts of the stencil that I don't want colored.   Painters tape works great for that. Peels off easy without damaging the stencil.  The stencil was laid flat on white cardstock and colored with a small flat steeple brush.
Also new is chipboard words ~ Believe  !!!  I want them all. They are so easy to add ink and embellish.  And they look fabulous!!

Try It Tuesday!!!
I have a card to share using a new stamp set by Darkroom Door

Instructions~
Stamp the Stars on coordinating paper.  On a regular size card, two medium and two large fit nicely. Fussy cut them out and add shimmer to them.  There are several different ways to do that, glitter or glitter pen.  Thread four buttons with twine and adhere them to the center of the stars.  Stamp a sentiment for the center of the card.  Place the Stars and the sentiment on the front of a matted card. Arrange to your liking. Add corners. Speckle with white texture spray.  Card size is 5 x 5.

Instructions~
1. Lay the acrylic frame to one side for now.
2. Paint the chipboard backing with acrylic paint and let dry.

Ms3

3.  Stencil the Chevron pattern randomly on the painted background.  I used black StazOn ink.   Splatter with black acrylic paint.
4.  Trace and cut out letters for the Word Frame ~ My Story.

Ms1

5. Attach the journal strips to the letters, telling your story.

Ms2

6. Remove the plastic film from the top side of the acrylic Word Frame.
7. Stencil the tree branch with leaves in several places.  I used acrylic paint and a steeple brush.

Ms6

8. When the acrylic is dry, clip the back and the acrylic together.
9. Place the letters you cut out in the letter slot on the front of the frame.  If you like a photo to be included, place it on the letter "O".
10. Keep the acrylic and chipboard clipped together so you can punch holes at the top to make a hanger.
