Happy New Year 2017

Teddy Bear won at a carnival in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas in 1959.
The boy tried but couldn't hit the target, so the girl said I can do it and she did!!!

Hi guys!!!
Remember this~

It is a chicken feeder ~ but it is a re-production.  It fits perfectly on my
painting desk, so I loaded it up with paint and stuff.
See what you think~

I have one space empty, but not for long, I'm sure.

The small DecoArt paint bottles fit really nicely in the space:)

Winter Bliss Collection by Quick Quotes!

Hi, Connie here with a scrapbook page, using the Winter Bliss Collection, from Quick Quotes!  The pictures I used are really special to me and the Winter Bliss Collection worked great!

This page has three photos, two of which are hidden.  To make the photo mat you will need to cut the paper 8 1/2" L x 4 1/2" wide.  Fold in the middle.  Adhere photos and ink around the edges of the mat.

To make the banner you will need a sheet of the Winter Bliss 1103 pattern paper.  Cut a row of triangles from the paper and then snip the triangles off.  Shade the small triangles with Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk ink. They will really jump off the page.  Use dimensional adhesive on every other triangle.  Add the twine to the top of the banner.   You can make the banner as long as you want, just keep snipping triangles!!

Journal and title the page. Add Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk ink to the chipboard letters.

Here is the photo mat opened, revealing the other two photos.  My heart skipped a beat when I saw them holding hands.  Such a sweet moment and I was there to snap a photo.  I added a tab to the mat, so it would be easily lifted for viewing.

    Products used:
Quick Quotes: Winter Bliss Collection **New**: 1103, and 1105.
Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks: Coconut, Caribbean Blue, Midnight Confessions and Biscotti.

Other: Whisker Graphics/twine, Want 2 Scrap/enamel dots, Tumble Dye, punches and stickers.

Try It Tuesday ~ Christmas Trees, all kinds!

    Hi guys!!
It's about that time, you know the 25th of December ~ so lets look at
    Christmas  trees~
    all kinds!!

The first set of three were made for JBS~ remember?

I love that truck~ I  still have it!!! Technically it doesn't belong to me :)
but I act like it does~
These were done for Jenni Bowlin Studio in 2013.

There was this cutie ( not in picture because it was packed away in the attic)
    created in 2014.

Those are vintage trees ~ stamped sentiment is by Darkroom Door.
    Created in 2013.

These are from a guest spot with S.E.I. ~ love using the door knobs
     as the tree trunk holder.
    Created in 2015.

These were created for Whisker Graphics, this year 2016.
Love how my idea came together.
Thanks for stopping by and letting me share these with you.
These are the small ones ~ I have done several big trees for Clear Scraps ~

    Side note~
I've been really sick just getting back on my feet :)

3D Acrylic Trees with Clear Scraps~

Hi, Connie here with a tutorial on how I created these 3D Acrylic  Christmas Trees by Clear Scraps. The 3D trees also come in chipboard too.  I see them with pine cones all around, sitting in snow with a couple of deer hanging around.  With that in mind that was the look I was after when creating these folk art trees.

    Clear scraps_3D trees_c.mercer

    Instructions:

    Clear scraps_3D_tutorial_c.mercer

*Remove the plastic film from the acrylic tree pieces.  Each tree will have two tree pieces.
*Assemble the trees.  They slip into each other creating the tree.
*I used a mat dark green spray paint to add the color to the trees.
*The star was painted gold and then the trees were speckled with white acrylic paint
They look amazing to me.  Plain, cozy and comfy!!  Looking forward to decorating for the holidays with these pretties!!

other: Forrest green spray paint,  white/black acrylic paint and gold paint (for star on top of trees)

    Christmas Quick Quotes style!

Hi, Connie here with a double page scrapbook project using Earth Wind Fire by Quick Quotes. This paper just so happens to be the pattern paper showcased in the Club Q kit for December.  That is what gave me the idea to use Christmas photos with these papers.  Let me show you~

Designer tip : The quotes look great cut apart and used as word strips.
Designer tip:  For a rich, bright color, repeat several times using the Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk ink when adding color to chipboard pieces (star).  Let dry a minute between applications of Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk ink.

The second page I created will work side by side the top one~

Designer tip: Hand cut the Christmas trees from the Earth Wind Fire 101 (better known as the triangle paper).  The lines make it really easy to cut them out and then add a trunk from a scrap piece of paper.

Here they are side by side ~

    Quick Quotes products:
    Earth Wind Fire paper: 101, 102, 105,109, 111 and 500.
Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalk inks: Barn Board, Desert Sun, Navy, Mocha Mama, Seafoam and Midnight Confession.

    Other:
    Clear Scraps: chipboard word
    Want 2 Scrap: rhinestones

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Holidays !!!

Scrapbooking with Creating Made Easy December Kit~

Hi, Connie here with the Creating Made Easy December kit by Clear Scraps.  It has a really cute 6" stencil in the kit called Rustic Forrest.  One of my favorite:)

    Dec3
The paper in the kit is beautiful and really was perfect for stenciling a border on the bottom of the scrapbook page.

    Dec4
I used Quick Quotes PowderPuff chalk ink.  I wanted the border image to be faint not bold.  It looks like it is printed on the paper.  Love the look:)

    Creating Made Easy~December kit

Hi, Connie here with the December Creating Made Easy kit by Clear Scraps.   This is a fun one for sure.  It has a 8x8 acrylic frame in the kit that can be dressed up or dressed down~I chose up!!

I will enjoy leaving this frame out, as Christmas decor, but once the holidays are over I will add the scrapbook 8x8 page to the center of a 12x12 page.  I only have 12x12 albums ~ let me show you.

The acrylic 8X8 frame is ready to showcase another page or event.  You can also add a magnetic strip, to the back of the frame, so the frame will attach to the refrigerator door. Everyone will see it there.  This would work great at my house :)
