Darkroom Door~ Feathers Set!!!!

Hi guys!!
I have some cards I made using the Feathers Set by Darkroom Door.
I stamped a bunch of them out on Kraft cardstock, using different colored inks and then cut them out.
They looked pretty awesome just like that!!!!  I wish I had taken a picture:):)

The background paper is vintage text.  I love using that.  I also used the
Love Birds and All Occasions set by Darkroom Door.

You can find instructions and close-ups, of the cards on the Darkroom Door Blog!!!
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the weekend:):)

2,378 page views on two posts.  I was able to see that the hits were from the USA and Israel and a very important clue, they came from Face Book.  Wish I could find were it was posted, anyone have any help to offer?  Some of you are good detectives, I'm sure.
Here are the links to the posts~  this one and this one.

A Friendship Gift~Darkroom Door, Maya Road and 7gypsies!!

Hi guys!!
I made a couple friend gifts (that's what I'm calling them anyway)!!!
I love doing crafty and fun projects!
I started with these supplies~

Darkroom Door, Maya Road (Stars), 7gypsies ~ it's all good:):):)

The stars are resting on the mini rulers by Maya Road~just a little
 something for a special friend:).

The ceramic knobs by 7gypsies are used as a stand to balance the Star.

I love the photo booth pictures by Darkroom Door to help me tell the story of how special friendship is.
Every girl should have bestie's:):)
So Important!!!!

Try It Tuesday~Scrap Around The World

Hi guys!!!
I had the awesome opportunity to play along with Scrap Around The World
for their Epic Anniversary Event, this month.  Darkroom Door is one of the, very generous, sponsors of this event.  The mood board for May has so many different ways you can drawl inspiration from.
I came away with the teal color and the very girlie appeal the mood board gave me, must have been the heels:):)
Here's my interpretation~

I used some of my favorite stamps by Darkroom Door too!!! The paper is by Jenni Bowlin Studio.

You still have until the end of the month to play along.  The prizes are fabulous!!!
It is so worth checking into.

Freedom Is Not Free~

I watched the flag pass by one day.
It fluttered in the breeze.
A young Marine saluted it,
and then he stood at ease.
I looked at him in uniform
So young, so tall, so proud,
He'd stand out in any crowd.
I thought how many men like him
Had fallen through the years.
How many died on foreign soil?
How many mothers' tears?
How many pilots' planes shot down?
How many died at sea?
How many foxholes were soldiers' graves?
No, freedom isn't free.

I heard the sound of TAPS one night,
When everything was still
I listened to the bugler play
And felt a sudden chill.
I wondered just how many times
That TAPS had meant "Amen,"
When a flag had draped a coffin
Of a brother or a friend.
I thought of all the children,
Of the mothers and the wives,
Of fathers, sons and husbands
With interrupted lives.
I thought about a graveyard
At the bottom of the sea
Of unmarked graves in Arlington.
No, freedom isn't free.

Stamp Carving~ the "6" !!

Hi guys!!!
Here is the other stamp that I carved~
**** the 6****

I mounted it on a wood block and added a fancy glass knob.  I love how it stamped, kinda of messy, with the edges catching ink.
The other day I was scrapbooking and wanted the hash tag symbol~no where in all of my"stuff" did I have one, so I carved one.  It is really two stamps in one, with or with out the label border:):)

Fits really good in my hand:):)
Below are a couple of pictures how I attached the rubber.

This is what I used~

I glued the rubber to mounting foam and then glued it to the block.
I used 3and1 by Beacon and then wrapped a rubber band around it and let it dry.
Then I attached the knob.  The hardest part was waiting to try it out.

Try It Tuesday~more Wow!!!!

Hi guys!!!
I have been playing around with the Wow embossing products, so fun!!!!
Sis gave me a new mold to use and that was fun too:):)

I've been making more rings too.  This time I added a pearl to the center (Sis suggested that:))
She is very crafty!!

She even thought I needed this~
Hello melting pot!!!!!
All I can say is this is so much easier than a small pie tin.  Less mess and less waste:)

This is the new mold by Mod Podge (Sis thought me and a certain"grand girls" needed)
 She was so right:):)

I used Wow!!!!!!

Love the pearl added!!!!  I have about 10 rings now, all different colors!!!!
The "grand girls" have that many or more:)
Thanks Sis!!!!!!

Darkroom Door~Polaroid Stamp!!

Hi guys!!!
I have a, super cute, scrapbook page, using one of the new releases, by Darkroom Door.  It is the Frame Stamp called Polaroid.  I also used the Background Stamp called Chicken Wire (a favorite of mine) and the Brush Strokes set, another fave:):)

The pattern paper is by Authentique.  I thought it was perfect for these pictures. So fancy, right?
The title is cut my Silhouette,  The more I use it the better I get at welding the letter's together.  I forget about the other things I can do with it:):)

I love the Wendy Vecchi Inks by Ranger.  The colors are gorgeous:):)
Thanks for stopping by today.

Try It Tuesday~vintage stamp handles!

Hi guys!!!
Thanks for stopping by for Try It Tuesday.
I'm not sure (well pretty sure, I didn't) take a before shot of these vintage stamp handles, you know the ones that go in the Standard desk holder:):)  Tim Holtz has a re-make of the Standard on the market ~anyway, I had some handles but no base.  Hubby put a small block of wood on them and I added the Velcro circles to each block to hold the ink sponges (Tim Holtz)

Small wood block, drilled out and glued to handle.

Velcro added to bottom to hold the sponges.

Pretty cool, right!!!
$2 got two applicators that look way cool.

This one was $1~
I'm going to hand carve a stamp for it.
I'll post it when I get it done:):)
See ya soon~
