Retiform card~ever heard of it?

Hi guys!!
It all started with Deborah Adams :)
She shared this really cool card using a technique called retiform.  Ever heard of it?
Well she learned the technique by watching a video on Gina K. Designs.
So I went and watched the video and came away wanting to make a card~
I have lot's of  Darkroom Door sets that would work great for this~
I chose this one~
and here is my card~
The inks are by Wendy Vecchi, Kraft cardstock and some vintage Jenni.

I liked it so much, I'm going for sets next:):)
Have a good weekend, make something pretty!!

Memories Frame ~ Clear Scraps!

Hi guys!!!
It's my turn on Clear Scraps.  I have a tutorial up on how I made this
 Memory Frame decor piece.

This is one of many words that come in this acrylic frame.  It is two pieces.  The back is chipboard and top is acrylic.  The acrylic comes with a film protector on it, that can be peeled off, after the words have been painted.  I used a round sponge type applicator.
The background is vintage dictionary pages, torn in pieces and decoupaged on the
chipboard using  Fast Finish Decoupage by Beacon.

So take a look~Clear Scraps
This was in the Clear Scraps booth at CHA 2014! whoop!!

Try It Tuesday~Silhouette machine, finally!!!

Hi guys!!!
Wanted to show you how I used the titles I welded together, using my Silhouette machine ( that I have owned for almost 1 year)~just background information.   That is why this is such a BIG DEAL folks!!!!   I did  six layouts and I can show you three of them.
:):)

I used some scraps of October Afternoon on this one. it also has Maya Road, Basic Grey and the journal lines are a stamp by Wendy Vecchi.

This one is using paper by Echo Park called Boys.  I also have Maya Road in there ( tickets and wood camera)

This one is using Graphic45.  The papers were hard for me to use but I really love how it all came together.

When I started my titles I had my pictures printed out so that helped with getting my titles done using the Silhouette.  I loved not having to dig through my sticker letters and find what I needed {just to find out that I didn't have the letters I needed} Yep~happens a lot!!!

A guy card with Clear Scraps!!!

Hi everyone~
CHA is over so I can start showing you what Clear Scraps has been up to.
They have been working hard~super cute acrylic shapes!!  This is one of the projects I did using these two new products~
and the Mini Teacup album

I made a guy card~
Those are always hard for me but with the mustache stencil made
it really easy and fun!

I used the stencil to make the mustache embellishments.  With an ink applicator I inked the stencil and then cut out the mustaches and added them to the front of the acrylic teacup ( another new product).

The inside of the card, is holding a  hot chocolate mix decorated with the mustache stencil.
You can find all of the new releases on the Clear Scraps web site.
I have lots more to show you, so come back!!!

Everything is Possible with Darkroom Door!

Hi guys, Connie here with a card using the "Possible" Quote stamp and the "Grid" Background stamp.  The inks are by Wendy Vecchi.

I also used the Instant Photo Frame by Sizzix.

I only stamped half of the Grid Background stamp on the white cardstock.  Then I layered the Instant Photo Frame over the grid.  The quote was next and then I continued with embellishments to complete the card.

 Love this quote!!!!!
Darkroom Door has new stamps ~check them out!!!

Try It Tuesday~another Canvas Corp project!

Hi guys!!
Thanks for stopping in for

This is a fun project to do.  I made this celebration mum for one of my grands for their birthday.
I used a pink Canvas Corp material flower and built around that.

Then center is the Tim Holtz rosette die and then added buttons.  The paper is by The Paper Studio.
I used one sheet of 12 x 12 pattern paper and cut it into strips and then layered it down the center.
I added stickers, brads and ribbon to finish it off.
Very FUN!!!
