Christmas Texas style~

Hi, Connie here with a Christmas card using the Windmill Photo Stamp by Darkroom Door.
I put a Texas Christmas swing on it~hope you like.
I got back into my scraps of paper to make this card.  It makes me feel like I got something for free:)
I stamped the windmill out on white cardstock and then inked it up with Tim Holtz's inks by Ranger
I used the brown, green and blue shades.

The tag is stuck in a small envelope and I began to build around that. I also used the Montage~Dear Santa by Darkroom Door.   The sentiment is from the Stitched Christmas set.

Christmas cards, tags and a layout~

Hi guys!!!
Five day count down to Disney, can't wait to have us all together:):)
I have a couple of cards and a Christmas layout for you~

This is how we did, exchanging gifts last year, with our Indiana bunch~
The i-pad came in real handy.  I used Paper Studio, and the border is made using EK Success punch.   With the punch you can also roll the border and it will become a flower.

Two simple cards (5x5) using Paper Studio paper and stickers~
the Hobby Lobby Brand.

and one more~

Two  Christmas tags using Authentique paper and Clear Scraps acrylic tags.

Clear Scraps & DCWV ~ Blog Hop!

Hi everyone!
This week Clear Scraps has been teaming up with DCWV. If you just have started you can go to Clear Scraps and all the blogs will be listed so you can see all of the wonderful inspiration using these two products together:)

I worked with one of the paper stacks called Woven Paper.  I loved the texture !!!!
I decided to make a tag border using the kraft and white woven paper.

I used the acrylic bird border and cut it into sections and added the birds to my layout.
The birds are backed with vintage book pages.  Beacon was used as the adhesive on this project.

Your next stop is Clear Scraps~

Yard sticks ~ what in the world?

Hi guys~
A sweet friend gave me this bunch of yard sticks  to make something "cool".
She just knew I was up for the challenge.  This is not an original idea, I'm sure you have seen them around, but this is my version:):)

Yes hubby helped~
back in the day (craftin' day, that is) we did lots of crafting together. He is very handy:):) to have around:) He cut and whipped these 6 point stars together in no time:)

The large ones took 3 yard sticks cut in half, giving six pieces to complete the star.
That is an Indiana pine-cone, too.
This one is named ~ Angelia

I used stuff I had, didn't buy a thing:)
This one is named ~ Marcela

This one is done primative style:)
This one is named~ Lea

I used some Maya Road, Prima, and Darkroom Door on the clusters.

Another primitive style~
This one is named~ Connie Kay  {wait,that's my name:):)}

and these two,  took two yard sticks cut into thirds, making the six pieces for the star.
These are still waiting on their names:):)

Try It Tuesday~ a mini and modeling cream!

Hi guys~
My goal was not to do Christmas until after Thanksgiving but that is getting harder and harder especially when I have such cute Christmas things to show you.  I think I have enough for all of December:):):)

This was a class I took two years ago ( ducking head) I just completed this a couple of months ago.
Pitiful, I know~

The Class was taught by Cheryl Mezzetti and Marah Johnson was her side kick.  Very fun class and learned about modeling cream ( Viva Decor).  The tree on the acrylic front is modeling cream and then it was painted with Silks by Viva. The paper is by Creative Imaginations.

So there you have another ~

so maybe try some modeling cream:):):)
