Time for some Jenni {JBS}~scrapbooking!!!

Hi guys~ September is almost here.  I can't believe it, but I must say I'm looking forward to Fall and cooler weather.  I have two more layouts to share with you, from my August work with Jenni Bowlin Studio.
I love these two pictures. Bubba is sneaking up "Grandy's" shirt to play with his belly button :):)  He thinks I don't know what is going on. So cute!!!

All is JBS except the Friends Sizzix die, the polka dotted Kraft paper bag and the letter stickers.  The paper by JBS is WREN {still a favorite}!!

The pictures in this layout were taken one afternoon while feeding the "girls".   She just had that look in her eye ~ like don't mess with me, I'm in charge here.  So we didn't, but I did take her picture!!

All of the product is JBS except for milk caps and the ink mist.
The pattern paper is JBS.
pssss~ Free shipping on all JBS Mercantile orders over $100.

Avocado Arts~You Rule~card!

Hi guys~ this is my last project, using the fabulous set for August, called You Rule~by Avocado Arts.  I don't do tons of cards but I loved the tennis shoes and the "saying". Great guy card!!

To get the white in the sole of the shoe I stamped it twice, once on Kraft cardstock and then white.  Then a paper pieced the white sole in the shoe.  You could have used a white marker also.
The star flat back is by Jenni Bowlin Studio. The pattern paper is out of my scrap bin:):)

Have a great Thursday!!

Darkroom Door and Sizzix~make a card together!

Hi everyone, Connie here with a fun and quick card project using Darkroom Door products and the Tim Holtz/Picture Wheel by Sizzix.

So get your supplies in front of you ~ photo booth, word strip, French Script Background Stamp and the Sizzix die.  You'll need ink too:):).

First run your Sizzix die through your Big Shot machine using white cardstock.  Then ink around the edges with black ink, for shading.  I use one that is really dry so I get a good shade, not a dark line.
Select photo's (from photo booth sheet) with two people.  You will need 6.

Then cut them apart, like I have shown in the photo.

Now for the fun part.  Use your Tim Holtz /Tiny Attacher ( best way) and staple them in the frame and then cut off the excess.

This is how the back will look.

And here is my finished card.  The size is  5" X 5" . on Kraft cardstock.  I stamped my patterned paper with the French Script Background Stamp.  Love that look!!!
Before you go, take a look at all the new stamps in the store:):)

This card is also on the Sizzix Blog (UK) ~ You can find it HERE.

Build A Sign~custom business cards!

I can't wait to tell you about my new business cards. With Build A Sign it was a very easy and a pleasant experience.  It took me all of 10 minutes to place my order and that was for a custom card.
On the web site you have so many options, making sure you get the business  card you want.  The cards are made of good quality cardstock and are 2" X 3.5", {you can even get fridge magnet cards!}

The options include Real Estate, Construction, Small Business, Animal Care just to name a few.  I chose "Start from Scratch" ~ I wanted to upload my blog header and use it as my primary design for my card.  So easy!!  The site has different fonts that you can play around with until you find what you like. No worries if you don't have art work Build A Sign does.
It has backgrounds, dividers, embellishments, patterns and shapes.
I placed my order and got it back in about 10 days. I'm very pleased with my cards and will be ordering more.  My cards were given to me, for the product review, but they also got a new, happy customer.

JBS and junkin~chickens and wire!

Happy weekend!!!   I wanted to show you another project I did for JBS this month.  It is showcasing the new flat backs, mini deck and the "film negative" acrylic stamp!  The paper is WREN (my fave at the moment).

The" hand" ephemera was in the Mercantile for sale, so I snagged a couple of them to use on my pages..  I love the look !!

I also have a junkin find ~next week I'll show you what I'm going to do with it.  It has chicken wire too~ thought it went good with my page I'm showing:):)

Mixed media mini album~

I have been busy wrapping up projects that have been long forgotten.  It feels so good to get them out of que {they were never in que~out of site out of mind, is more like it}.  Anyway another mini album put together and looking cute!!
This was a class with Cheryl Mezzetti {Collins Group, Florida 2012}.  She is a great teacher. Loved listening to her talk. Very cool accent!!!

I know, not the best picture{click on it for larger look}.
The mini has canvas, acrylic and chipboard pages.  We used Viva, Luminarte and Creative Imagination products.

It is getting close to Collin's Group Convention { Houston, TX} again. Can't wait to learn some new techniques.  And the best part of this is I get to go with Pam and Penci from Craft Crossing!!!

Avocado Arts~ You Rule!!

Hi guys~I wanted to share another one of my projects, using this months stamp set, by Avocado Arts
I wanted to make some kind of treats for my grands and this is what I came up with~
The set has great back to school images.  You could even make book plates and name tags from the images shown above:):)

I always {try} to use things that I have on hand.  My sis had given a stack of these little composition notebooks that were perfect for what I had in mind.  I wanted to make them their own little personal , private notebook.  All theirs!!

We have a road trip coming up and they can have a little book to write in and play games in  {when we can get them off of their devices}.

Try It Tuesday~carpenter's apron, really!

Hi guys!! I have a great junker post today.  I little out of the box thinkin' too!!
So let's get started~ take it away.....
I started with these~

I bought the green one at the flea market for a buck.  Got it home and hubby tells me he can get brand new ones at the lumber yard, for $2.  So I bought some new ones.....
I painted over the orange branding area with beige acrylic paint.  I doesn't matter if the paint is a shade off because you won't even notice:):):) Just didn't want to take the chance of the bright orange showing through my, delicate green material.

I bought this pile of "fabulous" at a resale / antique store.  I think it was $3. I loved the soft flower print material. It had me at green!  The material was not straight, in fact it looked torn ( even better, right).

I gathered the material and glued it on with Helmar's All Purpose glue.  Then I added the antique trim (that is stunning, BTW).  As you can see the Home-Depot is covered up with material.  I used stamps by Dyan Reaveley ( love the Ivy) and some masks by JBS.  I used some mists and inks also.  You would normally think that this would be good for me to wear, when I teach~put all my goodies in there, I agree but............................................

I like it on the back of my chair, holding more stuff, that is crowding my work area.
So this took me about an hour and 30 minutes to make this.  I think $2 is worthy of a

post!!!
Would love for you to pop over on the JBS Inspiration Blog and take a look at this months projects:):)~I'll do it for you:)

Some re-purposing with JBS~

Hi everyone~time for some Jenni.  You can find these bingo cards in the Mercantile.  I have always thought they were so cool..   I used one, along with a frame I found junkin', to make a photo display piece.   I used the new gold Rub-Ons (Doilies) and the Tiny Trims (re-vised).  The Rub-Ons went on so easy, even on the frame, where my surface was not flat.  I was very happy with how they worked out.

You can find the bingo card HERE.

And this is the frame I paid 50 cents for:):) Good buy!!!

I also used the new Sequins and the Mini Deck ( Everyday).  The paper is a blast from the past, from JBS scrap bag.  I have  3 more projects up on the JBS Inspiration blog.  Would love for you stop by!!!!
