Try It Tuesday~summer happenings !!!

Our flowers are so off this year. They are blooming at the wrong time.  These are Easter Lilies {several different kind} and they are in full bloom as I write this blog post.  Kinda of crazy but I love the flowers, makes for a beautiful yard!!!  I thought this would be a cool thing to document and make a great ~
You know,  documenting something you normally wouldn't think to scrapbook.  Just an idea.  So this is my Summer 2013 in full bloom.  May be several years before this happens again, who knows!!!
I used some bits and pieces of Farm House, kraft cardstock and some JBS embellishments.

We have these guys roaming, should be in the pin but.................long story, but a funny one:):):)
When were making our way back to Texas from Indiana we junked all the way home.  We found this
egg scale.  Our gals aren't laying eggs yet, but when they do, we can grade the eggs.    I'm hoping for some extra large eggs:):)

Just another cool junkin' find~

Easy Canvas Prints~product review!

Hi guys~ I was given the opportunity to do a product review for Easy Canvas Prints and jumped at  the invitation.
I have been admiring their canvas for sometime now.  To be honest I was hoping to win one:):):) So this was great!!!  To top it off I had the perfect photo~my family, except me, having fun and being silly!!!!

I found the ordering process to be extremely easy.  You can check out several pictures and see how they will look on a canvas.  I went with the standard .75" depth canvas which if I decide to frame it later on , I can.

The shipping process worked {like it should}.  The canvas was packaged for shipping extremely well.  The surface of the canvas was not touching the outside cardboard so getting damaged in route would be a rare case.  It arrived in good shape.

The quality of the canvas was true to the colors in the original photo.  The canvas has a semi-glossy shine to it and I like that.  The colors are rich and vibrant!!  The canvas is very well made and looks great unframed.

I love how the canvas turned out and I love the memories it holds for me.   Check out Easy Canvas Prints fan page on Face Book  and give it a "like".   You will get all the latest updates on products and sales!!!

Dictionary Stamping~hand carved stamps.

Hi guys~This is just a quick share on a couple more dictionary stamped pages.  I used hand carved stamps this time.  The top one is hand carved by Stephanie Ackerman.  It is carved from an eraser from Target out of the $ bin.  Clever girl!!!

This one is by Louise Nelson {my team mate } from Jenni Bowlin Studio.  I love feather's so I was so tickled this one was in last months Mercantile kit and I was able to purchase the kit.
I so want to take a class on this!! Thinking about this one from Balzer Designs~

Try It Tuesday~ just an old stump!!!

Hi guys~do you see what I see?  I have had these for over 4 years. I had them special cut. I was going to paint them to look like watermelon slices for my patio table:):)  and finally I did just that last week.
Just in time for ~

I used red, white, green and black acrylic paint.  I also used a small sponge and a mop brush { med size}.  A small rd brush was used for the watermelon seeds.

The 5 cents is put on with a stencil by Maison De Stencils
I thought about putting them in this~

but it is being used right now, so I will have to wait.

Mama cat needs it!

Nuts & Bolts ~ no, buttons and some JBS!!!!

Hi guys~remember this nut and bolt organizer from the 70's?  I had know idea what to do with but it was really speaking to me, so I brought it home with me.  After a good cleaning, I separated my buttons out {even more than they were}.

Hubby clamped it to my work table (underneath on the trim) with some small hand clamps.   Worked great and no holes had to be drilled to secure it to the work table.:):):)

I find myself using it all the time, so convenient .

This is a JBS True Vintage label.  I have it on an old 7up bottle I found on the ranch.  Take a look at the finished bottle HERE.  I have a couple other layouts up over on JBS also. Would love for you to stop by!!!

Jenni and Elle's together~

Hi guys~this is one of three layouts I did when JBS partnered with Elle's Studio last month.  This is using Cameron by Elle's Studio.  The papers are so perfect for boys but I used them with my grand girls too.

I also did a little re-purpose with this~

Try It Tuesday~a very special chalk board!

Hi guys~ I have a junker post ready.  Things that I have collected up, waiting to make the project I'm about to show you.  Time for some ~
First I was given this~ It actually started everything.

I couldn't turn this down.  My oldest used to call him Mick Not and I knew we wanted to go to Disney with the grands ~ so It was a sign for sure.

I got this a few weeks ago while on our way to Indiana or on our way back home from Indiana, but anyway it fit into my project.
So with out further ado ****my "count down" to Disney board!!!!

Hubs is the best~showed him what I wanted to use and he did it.  The wide frame will help keep the dust chalk in check, just wipe it out {well that is the plan}.  I still need to get it up on the wall.

All that is left to do is start the count down!!!!  Can't wait!!!

Seaside Collection by Darkroom Door~

Hi guys~we went to the beach recently and that gave me a chance to scrapbook with the Seaside Collection by Darkroom Door.

I used the Photochips, Montage and Word strips on the layouts~
Here is the first one~

I cut the Photochips into an award shape using a die, also the journal card is from the Everyday Stamp set.  Love making the banner using the Montage sheet.
Here is the second one~

You can find the Seaside Collection HERE

junkin' here and far~

I have already started doing things with these great finds, that will be up soon.  So in the mean time let me tell you about these cool finds:):) as much as I know anyway:):)
I love a small dish like these.  They get me every time.  I think they will make great soap dishes:):). I paid $2 each. The china coffee cup is old and crazed (and that alone is what sold me not the $1)~it was $1

I don't know what the correct name of this is but I know what it was used for~
It made the lines on the chalk board for the teacher to show how to write properly:):)
I paid $11, but wait I have a reason:):)~ you will see it soon.

These door knobs were $8 each~unheard of in Texas. So they came home with me.

Floral frogs~I still have friends looking for these~

A sprinkler spout, that's what I call it.  To keep your cloths damp when ironing them. $1

This was given to me and is all part of another blog post~it turned out fabulous.
I know such a tease~
