Darkroom Door & some JBS~

Hi everyone~just a FUN layout today!! I don't have too much to say about it:):) except I love the Darkroom Door New York Stamp Collection.  I enjoyed working with the stamps so much and using them with some of the silly pictures my son sent me back from New York!!!

I paired the stamps with some very cool papers from Jenni Bowlin Studios!!! I think the paper's worked perfect with the stamps!!! I have been busy just can't show you yet but I wish I could:):) I hope that counts!

The Play Date Cafe Challenge #147~

Hi everyone~this is the new color palette for this weeks challenge at The Play Date Cafe. I love the evergreen, olive, smoke and cherry blossom together. Reminds me of winter:):).  I can't wait for some cooler , colder weather. Here is my take on challenge #147~
The paper is some I had in my stash and I used the snowflake { gelly jr's} stamp {from our sponsor} Gel-a-tins   The center of the flowers are the snowflake stamp. We would love to have you play along either with a card or layout, the main thing is to use the color palette for the challenge week. You can post your entry on  the PDCC blog.

Try It Tuesday~July kit with Jenni Bowlin Studios!!

I thought for Try It Tuesday I would show you how many layouts I was able to get out of the July Kit from Jenni Bowlin Studios.  I usually don't buy kits but there was something about this one that really caught my eye.  The colors and the exclusive {to the kit only} label stamp { and the catalog sheet}were what did it!! I got five layouts completed~so here we go.

I used a journal stamp by Wendy Vecchi and a border punch by EK Success, Helmar and some buttons!! Gotta have buttons!!!

Meet the shop keeper~ :):)

Be sure and check out the pointed fingers~some things never go out of style:):)

This is a boy crafter~

and here is how I used the catalog sheet ~ was hard for me to cut it!! The flowers are made using a die by Die-namics.  I also wanted to share with you one of my latest "5's" ~

Perfect, right!!!!:):)
Have a great day and I'll see ya soon!!

The kids were just walking around New York City and found "our" street.  I took that same picture five years ago when I was walking around New York City and came up on "our" street.  :):):)  Fun stuff!!!

Try It Tuesday~Work table and wall of 5's!

Well here she is~my new work table.  What do you think it was in it's previous life?  I was told it was a child/infant examining table from a medical facility.  I can see it~

Here it is set up in my room~

My other work table is on the other side for painting, stamping, misting ~ the messy stuff:):)

I scrapbooked today to try it out and I loved not having the chair in my way ~worked great!

I also started my 5 wall~ some of you knew I was collecting them. I had some of the girls that take classes with me, give some {5's} for my birthday.  So here is a look, hoping to find more~

Thanks for stopping in toady!! I'm going junkin' (fingers crossed) so maybe , just maybe I will find some cool 5's!!! See ya soon!!!

Darkroom Door and "the lady"~

Hi everyone~did some junkin' this weekend with hubby.  So excited, I got a new work table.  It is an old examination table for an infant.  It is sage green and it sets up high like a drafting table.  I stand when I scrapbook or craft so this will work out great.  I'll be showing it to you soon.  This is another layout I did for Darkroom Door, using the New York Collection.

The paper is by Jenni Bowlin.  The Statue of Liberty stamp is fabulous.  I wanted to use it on every layout.  Stamps beautiful!!! I enjoyed working with this collection of New York images!

I have a busy next few weeks coming up, so I need to keep working ahead~have a great day and I'll see ya soon for Try It Tuesday {those junkin pic's}!!!

Darkroom Door~New York Vol. 1 & 2!

Happy Friday!!!!  This month I have been working for Darkroom Door {awesome red rubber stamp company in Australia}.  I was sent the New York Collection Vol. 1 & 2 to work with along with the montage sheets, photo chips and word strips ~all pertaining to New York City!!!

When I did these two layouts my idea was to show that you could use these sets without New York City photographs, that was the goal!  Here is the second one~

I used all the stamps { both vol. 1 & 2}  on this one and clustered them at the bottom of the page. The paper is by Echo Park {both layouts}.

Tonight on the Darkroom Door I will have three more layouts I did using the New York Collection, so go take a look!!! Here is the latest project posted~  Fabulous set!!!!

Hotel Key Holder by JBS~sewing board!!

I worked up my Vintage Hotel Key Holder by Jenni Bowlin again.  I have many collections and it is fun to see them out not put away.  These are some of my favorite sewing goodies~

Sometimes when I buy a tin of buttons I find all kinds of small, cute sewing items in the tin also.  I just consider it a bonus when this happens.  The four small spools, they were a bonus surprise!!  They are so small and dainty~very cute!!!!

Can you imagine doing a Christmas board?  I have it in my mind so I'll do it closer to Christmas.  I have some small vintage ornaments and some antique crystals to start with!!  I'll see what else I can find~

Thanks for stopping in today and I'll see you soon with The Play Date Cafe Challenge #145 coming Thursday~see ya then!!!

Try It Tuesday~a cookie cutter re-make!

Hi everyone~I found this a while back and thought it was so cool.  It is a cookie cutter.  It must have been on a wagon train:):), it is a heavier metal than most cookie cutters.  The handle is bent in and I couldn't get it straight so I used it to my advantage.  The handle became the stand for the star frame.

You can see the inside is rusted out ~ to many biscuits cut with it , I guess:):).
Here is what I did with it~hope you like!!!

I added some Prima, a little clip {to hold the photo}, stick pins, and some moss.

That is my mom!  I'm told I look just like her!!!  Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by. I'll see ya soon!!!!!
