Junkin' again~RAK

Hi everyone~this is the last of my Indiana junkin' finds!!!  You'll see that I have already started to use them in many different ways.  I have more than several of these and love them all, to stack and use in my photographing of my work.

These are odd shaped spools and caught my eye for that reason!

This a wax container for honey (about 2 oz.) really adorable!!

Old yarn cards~not sure what I will do with these but thought they were very cool~and that is enough for me:):)

Printer's Blocks~the only two I found, no five but a four and nine, oh well:)

Crafty Goodies with a vintage flair~

This is the blog post I did for The Country Chic Cottage if you didn't see it on May 25th.

Hi Everyone~ I'm so excited to be on The Country Chic Cottage to share what I love. You can ALWAYS find me in one of two places, either in my craft room creating or junkin'!! I am a crafty girl who loves to create with a vintage flair. What is junk to someone else is a diamond in the rough to me. I love crafting with and re-purposing old things among other paper crafts. As always, I love to share creativity with others and invite you to visit me at Crafty Goodies.

I took legal size note pads and had them cut into thirds and decorated them with Jenni Bowlin Studio's paper and embellishments.

Here is a close up of the toppers.  You can go here for more details.

A card using the same Jenni Bowlin pattern papers.

One of my features, on my blog, is"Try it Tuesdays" where I share something totally out of the ordinary and show you how to create a treasure of your own. I also have my "Remember This" posts at least once a month in which I share a goody I have wandered across and re-purposed. I also post pictures of my junkin' finds right along side my crafts.  I so hope you've enjoyed my post and have come away inspired and once again I extend an invitation  for you to visit me at Crafty Goodies.

Try it Tuesday~Jillibean Soup and an old canvas!!!

Hi everyone~had a great time with my family for the three day weekend and now I'm at my mom and dad's!!  Glad to be settled for a few more days~
This is a layout I did recently, I was inspired by the pictures.  Love those little country kids!!!  I used some old Jillibean soup that I thought was a perfect fit for the pictures.

I also did a new background canvas to use when I photograph my work, you can see a little of it.

The canvas size is 14"x14" perfect background for layouts, cards or altered projects.  All I did was cover with Helmar decoupage and old dictionary pages.  I then framed it out with Tim Holtz tissue tape.  Only took a couple of hours to make~so don't throw out old canvas's!!  Have a great day and I'll see ya soon!!

Hi everyone~ I have a new nephew!!!!! Can't wait to see him.  Cardsister's daughter had him today~baby and mommy are great and Cardsister is over the moon:):):)  Hope you hop over to her blog and show her some grandma love:):):)
This is the third project up over on Vintage Street Market's blog.  I love making these and I think they look so unique~the problem is the printer's blocks are very hard to find.  I have two more a four and nine, so I'll be thinking of a way to work those into something very cool!!!

Here is a close-up. I glittered the letters  with silver glitter.  The bingo cards are by Vintage Street Market~I love those cards and find so many great uses for them. Helmar 450 played a big part in holding the blocks together.:):)  I'll going to be off for a few days~but I will see ya soon!!!!
  Have a great week-end.

Try It Tuesday~

Hi everyone~welcome to Try It Tuesday!!!  I have really been busy and have done lots of cool stuff ( I just can't release it yet) ~ soon though!!!!  But anyway here is one very cool children's book.  It has no date on it and I paid way to much for it but .....but....... I had to have it.  You see, I am a painter!

I painted and did craft shows, went to painting classes, painted on ceramics and then I started scrapbooking~it has been 12 years. Hubby says I usually only last 5 years and then move on to a new adventure!! ha,ha. ~ a look at the inside pages.

This is another sweet, sweet set.  I think this is around 1950, again no date, but it is adorable ~ for sure!!!
I have another old set~I'll put it up soon. It is older than this one!!!

This was given to me by one of my best friends~the name on the book is ~Master Book.  It is a craft book. It is falling apart that is why I have it tied up, the pages are crumbling but it very cool.  The date is 1928, it went to the trash bin and she saved it for me~love it!!!

We are waiting on a , sweet little baby boy to arrive to our family this month ~I found these in Indiana and want to use them in some way for our sweet little bundle.  My sister's girl is due May 28~almost here!!!

a Crafty weekend~

Good morning!!!!  I had such a great weekend, got lots done and the Spurs won!!!!!  I love a good productive weekend.  I actually scrapbooked six layouts.  Got some happy mail Saturday and a happy email last night.  June is gonna be busy~but I love being busy!!!  This is one of the crafty things I made this weekend~

More old Bingo cards made into a notebook ~in this case a Score Book!!!  My granddaughter invented a game:) :) that her and I play all the time~so I made her a score book.  I thought it will be neat to see what she writes in it and  how she determines what the score is.

I used scraps of this and that by October Afternoon, Jenni Bowlin, Jillibean Soup, Prima, Helmar and Making Memories.

and the inside~

I put this all together using my Bind-It-All by Zutter.  I love finding unique pieces and re-purposing them, but then you know that!!! :):)  Have a fabulous Monday and I'll see ya soon!!!!

Basically Bare and a button card~together!!!

Hi everyone~how about a Basically Bare album with a vintage button card for the cover?  Another one of my ideas.........I took this vintage button card { I found junkin' in Indiana} and  used the Bind-It-All to put holes in it, to match up with the Basically Bare album and then I un-did the album and re-did the album.  The first page is acrylic, so I decorated that leaving  the button card in original condition { well almost} I did put new holes in it!!

the button card~

I used the Basically Bare Wonky Windows Album, Fanciful Frame Set and the Dress Form Set on this album.  The paper is by Jenni Bowlin Studios Helmar 450 Quick Dry did all the gluing {and I was so glad it did}!!!!  Here is a look at the inside~

I was happy how it turned out~loved working with the Basically Bare chipboard products!!

I also have a little crazy {exciting } news~Craft Gossip picked two of my blog posts.  One was on 10 Tags and the other was colored stickpins.  It has brought much welcomed blog traffic!!!  I also added  "follow by email" sign up box to my blog.  Thanks for stopping by today and I'll see ya soon!!

Try It Tuesday~Canvas Corp has style!

Well it all started with this~{you might want to settle in, this is kinda of a long post} ~promise you won't be disappointed!!  And then I got to thinkin' ................................

and so then I pulled out all  of my colors~by Canvas Corp!!!

I love making these flower pins, but I love wearing them too!!  So here we go, what I created with some glue, buttons, bits and pieces of this and that~but then I got another idea, OK one idea at a time~

Khaki and Beige~

Pink~

Green and Denim~
And the other idea ~make gift cards out of scrapbooking packing, like theses~

The flowers are by Prima.  I added little charms, pearls {Kaiser}, vintage buttons and crocheted {small} doilies.  If you want them to go together fast use hot glue, if you have drying time use Helmar Craft Glue. I used both.  Have a great Tuesday, see ya soon!!
