A cool tip~ that works!!!!

While in Florida at the Collins Group Convention I picked up a tip from Karen Burniston {designer for Sizzix} like she designs the dies!! Super sweet!!! Anyway this is her tip~
When you run a die through your cutting machine do you notice you have to get your paper piercer out and dig out the cut~yes that happens to me.
So here is the tip~

Take the die out of the wrapper~

Take packaging tape and run it on the top of the die{leave it on} ~ now you are ready to make a cut.  You will notice the paper doesn't get caught in places and need to be dug out.  It slides right off!!!
The die is the new snowflake  (lrg rosette type) from Tim Holtz.

And there you have it.  I have done this to all of my dies ~ no more using the paper piercer to dig out bits and pieces.

I sure wish I could show you what I did with this~ soon enough!!  The Christmas Splendor Blog Hop hosted by Angela Holt Designs starts November 12 ~ 17 and is right around  the corner!!! Hope to see you~

  1. Ok...just want to make sure I understand this correctly.I have concussion problems and sometimes don't grasp new things...I stick a piece of packing tape across the die and then place the paper and then cut...Do I need to replace the tape every time I make a cut?
