The Play Date Cafe Challenge #156~

Hi everyone~this is the new color palette for this weeks challenge at The Play Date Cafe. I love these four colors together ~ cinnamon, squash, vanilla and sage :):). So, so pretty together!!! These colors scream fall to me~my favorite time of the year!!!
Here's what I came up with~

I used Authentique for this layout and stamped with brown ink! Our sponsor is D.R.S Designs.
Their stamps are made of awesome red rubber.  We would love to have you play along either with a card or layout, the main thing is to use the color palette for the challenge week. You can post your entry on the PDCC blog.

I hope you will take a look at the stamps over at D.R. S Designs~some pretty cool rubber there..
This is the last challenge{ for Amy and I} with The Play Date Cafe.  I have had a blast with this team and getting to know Julie better.  Some serious talent over there!!!!
Can't wait to see what you create with these beautiful colors!!!
See ya soon~

Create:Embellish ~is in the house, along with a new blog header!!!

Remember these? I received my magazine copy of Create: Embellish by Northridge Publishing over the weekend and there they were on page 115.  Such a thrill!!!!!

I know,  but you see this is my first publication with Northridge and hopefully not my last!!  I used Vintage Street Market products, actually this was one of my submissions for the DT call.

Thank You Northridge Publishing!!!  The October issue of Create has another tag of mine in it { guess I will wait another two months} to get my copy, but I don't mind!!!

Now for the dieing question ~ How do you like the new blog header?
A round of applause for Melissa Elsner !!!!!Thanks girl, I love it!!!

Basically Bare Memo Board and Jenni news~

Hi every one~I've been playing with some Basically Bare chipboard { you can ink it, cover it, paint it or use it bare} and 7gypsies paper.  The satin flowers are the ones I made HERE.  The base is metal, so I can use magnets or  a cloths pin {like I did on this one} to hold things to the board.

I glued the flowers, on the dress form {Helmar 450 Quick Dry} and covered the top part with paper.  I inked the  small top and bottom piece.  Very easy and quick project.  And the metal base came from Craft Crossing {she is happy to mail out} along with the Basically Bare!!

Try It Tuesday~scrapbooking a mistake!

Hi everyone~time for Try It Tuesday!!. How about scrapbooking a "mistake":):)  That is always fun. These are my granddaughter's birthday invite cards~my daughter-in-law added a year by mistake.  Andrea told her, I'm eight not nine, mom!!!  In the trash they went but I got one before they went in.  She re-ordered with the correct age but I thought what a cute scrapbook page the mistake would make.  I used some Sassafras Lass, 7gypsies and The Paper Studio.

We all had a good laugh over this and now we will always remember when an extra year was added to Andrea's birthday cards!!

A cool piece that my dad made to put on the back of the choir chairs at his church.  He designed and hand crafted this. Mom gave my sister and I each one.  I put projects that I'm working on in mine.  Keeps my desk clutter free!!!   Hope you have a great day and I'll see ya soon!!!

A sweet time and cool stuff~

Hi everyone~hope you had a great weekend.  I sorted all my scrapbooking paper and removed the paper that was more than two years old.  That sure did make a difference, as I can see what I have now.  This is a layout I did using Paper Studio.  This was such a sweet time!!!

Adah and I made the cupcakes and all the decorations for the annual Spring Party!!! This was all her idea ~ so I named the layout "Adah is the founder of the Spring Party!"
******************************
I also wanted to share with you a couple of WAY cool displays at the Collins Group Convention.

You know how I love doors so I had to take a picture of this beauty Sizzix put together!!!!

This was a product display in the Farmhouse Paper Company's booth!!  I'm gonna make one, mark my word!!!! So COOL!!!!!   Hope you have a great day and I'll see ya soon for Try It Tuesday!!!

May Arts and Vintage Street Market Blog Week~

Hi everyone~today is usually Try It Tuesday but instead we are going to blog week with Vintage Street Market and May Arts.  All you do is go to the blogs and soak in all the inspiration from the designers on both teams.  I was sent a fabulous sampling of May Arts ribbons and they are so fabulous!!!

On this layout I used three May Arts ribbons with a vintage fusion kit from Vintage Street Market. I made flowers out of the pom pom ribbon (used Gluebers from VSM store) and cut the leaves fronm the VSM Bingo Craft cards.  The bottom piece of ribbon has been hand stamped.

Here is a close up of the hand stamped ribbon.  I hope you will check out both blogs and leave a comment HERE so you will have a chance to win this~

Pretty nice, right!!!!
