Vintage Street Market time~

Hi everyone~I'm sharing with you some projects I have done for Vintage Street Market!!!!
This is a banner using some old view master disks~made to look like ice cream cones.   I used the Family Fun paper pack for this. It is full of paper dolls!!! All kinds~

Here is a close up view.  Ric Rack for the ties in between the ice cream cones{view master disks}. It would be great  for a spring party!!!

And a layout using the same paper set { Family Fun} and the new Bingo Cards and Twirly Twine!!
The Twirly Twine comes with little tags and a journal box and in six different colors!! I think Twirly Twine is my new BFF!!! It is great on everything!!!  My glue of choice is Helmar 450 Quick Dry.

Let's talk albums~

Hi everyone~
Remember this, all those pages that were not in albums, stacked up in every corner

and you say, "heck, that's not too bad" ~well, this is not all of my pages!  I had 13 hanging up in my studio, several framed in the house and more than several on display at Craft Crossing{the LSS that I teach at} that by the way is fabulous!!!
So I started organizing and putting them in albums!!!

Started piles of month and year~

and then I found that some of my years had other years included in the wrong year~ ugh!!!! What a mess~but I stayed with it until it was right!!!

I keep them in a closet in my studio~hoping for a bookshelf one of these days!! BUT, this is a great start!!

The albums are by American Crafts {3 ring} and hold about 28-30 layouts, depending on how much dimension is on the layout.   I have over 40 Creative Memories albums and 12 American Crafts albums!! My poor kids!!

Today is day 9 of the vintage blog series, and remember Amanda is giving away goodies~just leave a comment to be considered!!  I'm up over on Helmar~hope you will stop in and I was up on ScrapStreet yesterday with Graphic45.  Have a great day and I'll see ya soon!!!

Try It Tuesday~the shoe is done!

Hi everyone~ I thought I would go ahead and get the shoe done, since it has been on my mind.  All of these elements remind me of my sweet grandpa {pepo}.  The cigar box{Jenni Bowlin}, the shoe, the coffee emblem{he loved Folgers Coffee} and liked getting it on sale, so I thought I would combine them and make a rememberance to him~

The inside of the little shoe is reinforced with heavy cardboard to give me a flat surface.  I used a wine cork and covered it with JBS/Magpie paper. I lined the inside of the box and inked the edges.  I used Helmar Acid Free and Helmar 450 Quick Dry as my adhesive.   The pin is by Tim Holtz and holds the photo perfectly!

I love the new Jenni Bowlin tags and they were perfect for this!  I didn't photograph it~but it will all fit in the box and fold up perefct for storage.  Have a great Tuesday and I will see ya soon!

Junkin' finds~

I went junkin' this weekend.  I didn't find to many things but it just takes one cool thing and I found one cool thing. Two dollars later this sweet little shoe { I'm guessing a size 3} came home with me.  I know what I'm going to do with it but that is another blog post**smile**.  Here is a better look~

The picture makes the shoe it look big,  but it is not~

It is listed as an orphan shoe~

I have seen these around but without lids ~ so score!!!!

Have a great Monday!!! My projects are up over on Vintage Street Market~would love for you to take a peek and Day 6 of the vintage blog series HERE!!!! See ya soon!!!

Quick "little" project with tags~

Hi everyone~this is a cute little project made with tags or you can cut the paper in shape of a tag and start that way.  That is what I did but I think a manila tag {office style} would be darling all decorated up.  Mine is done vintage but what cute Easter goodies this would make.

The inside has a little box to hold the goodies ~ I don't have a pattern but I'm sure on Spilt Coasters you can find one or this project.  I used Jenni Bowlin products and Helmar 450 Quick Dry for this project.
*********************************************************************
I found these on Craft Gossip and they are super cool~Vintage mailing labels Here is the link to get you some~you just print them off.  They come in six different colors and will make a cute journal or date box for scrapbook layouts!!!

Tomorrow {Sunday} I'm up over on Vintage Street Market Blog~stop in if you can!!!

Last project using JBS/Hybrid product~

Hi everyone~what a week it has been.  This is my last project I did for Jenni Bowlin Inspiration Blog using the Homespun printables and punchables!!  I had a great time and loved how this mini album came out!!

To get a look at the inside pages  go HERE!!  I used one of the Hodge Podge kits plus the Homespun print outs!! Very fun!!  One thing I love about JBS products they all can be mixed and matched~no matter what line they come from.  That is so much creative energy knowing that!!

I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry on the embellishments for the front and inside pages!! Sure does come in handy to have awesome glue!!!
********************************************************
I have scrapbooked 6 pages this week~ so proud of myself.  I'm taking a new class by Shimelle ~The Hitchhiker's Guide to Scrapbooking at 2 Peas!! I'm loving it!! So many great ideas.  I'm going to post 2 of my pages today!!! Day 5  is up over on Amanda Jones Designs of the vintage blog series!!

Hybrid layout with JBS~

Hi everyone~thanks for stopping by~this is my second project done with Jenni Bowlin Studio/Homespun printables and punchables.  I loved making my own embellishments, if I messed one up I just printed another one out. Pretty easy!!!

I enlarged the journal cards in word { just like Betsy told me ~ just drag them in there} LOL!!
They make great mats for a photo or you could make a mini album { just size to your needs}.
Perfect!!!

This shows you the banner.  I punched them out and used them on the JBS chipboard pieces, for some dimension.  I will be doing some more of this and working with these products was so fun!!

My LAST project is up over on JBS Inspiration Blog ~ HERE would love for you to stop by!!!!

Hybrid scrapbooking with Jenni ~

Well if you missed it~yesterday was a big "thrill" for me.  Besides my modem going out and I had no Internet for about 10 hours ~ the day ended fantastic.  If you are a friend of mine or know me through my scrapbooking you know who's products I just adore {Jenni Bowlin Studios}, so being on the JBS Inspiration Blog yesterday and working with some of her Hybrid products was an absolute THRILL!!!! Thank you Besty Sammarco for asking me!

I have been asked where do I get the large safety pins~I have had them for years.  When I go out junkin' I don't see them like I used to.  They were used to close laundry bags of service men in the 40's, is what I have been told.  I have one with a number on it so I presume maybe for a locker basket.  I love the way they look on a mini album!

A look at some of the inside pages~I guess I can call myself a hybrid scrapbooker now~
Just in case you missed it, go HERE to see the post and if you were one of those { you know who you are}that showed up over on JBS and left a comment ~ you made my day!!!!Thank You!!!
My SECOND project is up on JBS today~Here

Today is day 3 of the vintage blog series at Amanda Jones Designs~if you leave a comment she is going to be giving away vintage goodies at the end of the series!!

Butterfly Tag Cards~

Hi everyone!!! Time for Try It Tuesday, my favorite day of the week.  My cast of characters~
The Star ~Darkroom Door {the new butterfly set}, it compliments their other {butterfly} set so well.  The stamps are gorgeous!!! Next~Canvas Corp paper, Jenni Bowlin embellishments { you know I have to have JBS on what ever I make}, Helmar Scrap Dots { love this product} and Helmar 450 Quick Dry!!!

The ribbon is by May Arts, there is some Prima {resin flowers}and the fabulous Tim Holtz labels!!!
It was good to create today~

I added a tag to the top so I can tie it on the gift~don't use envelopes and because of that I have a ton of them , so I did this~

I cut about and 1/8" of an inch off and used the envelope like a pocket!  They will be great like that on scrapbooking pages too.  The tag slips right down into the pocket.  Thought I would mention Craft Crossing {the awesome LSS that I teach at} has a large selection of Darkroom Door stamps and she will mail.  If you are interested just leave me a comment or email me and I will get her info to you.

Thanks for stopping by today and just a reminder about the vintage blog series over on Amanda Jones Designs blog. have a good one and I'll see ya soon!!

The last one~really!

Hi everyone~this is the last one of the pocket pages I did for the "grands" art work.  The paper is by Authentique and I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry to hold the sides together.  I pulled out different punches and used them on the edges for decoration. The shiny blue metallic paper is by Vintage Street Market!!  These will fit perfectly in a page protector and then in my album they go.  I use the American Crafts top loading albums with rings.

Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see ya soon!!!

Another pocket page ~

/

Hi everyone~I'm staying with the bi-fold cardstock papers by Authentique.  Here is another example of how  easy these can be made.  I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry to secure the outside edges and then used punches and embellishments on the front!!  making a great pocket for art work or papers you may want to keep together.

I hope you aren't getting tired of these I have one more to post tomorrow then off to something new.
Have a great Thursday~weekend is just round the corner.
*****************************************************
For all you local peeps my class on the Bingo cards is this Saturday (10:00am) at Craft Crossing.
Limited kits~so call and reserve your spot.  This is my 2 year anniversary teaching at Craft Crossing~I think we should celebrate:):)   See ya soon!!

Another pocket page~

Hi everyone~we had a great Bunco last night~so fun!! These women have become great friends, I only see them once a month, but for the last 7 years!!  We need to celebrate that~there 4 original members and I'm one of them!!!  OK~ kitchen cleaned up and I'm ready to go!!!!
This is another pocket page using the bi-fold papers by Authentique.   I take Helmar 450 Quick Dry and glue the sides down, cut about 1" to 2" off the top and what a great pocket folder it makes to store loose papers in or in my case. my "grands" art!!

Love how the award badge came out!!! The red shiny paper is from Vintage Street Market!
I made one for each "grand"!! I'll be showing you a couple more of these in the next few days~I have been creating with Jenni Bowlin punchable and printable (hybrid) images~yes, I'm almost ready to declare myself a hybrid scrapbooker!!

And this, "the vintage blog series by Amanda Jones", has been taking up some of my time~so excited to be a part of this and can't wait for it to start.  Lots of people, that are crazy about vintage, taking part in this!!! Stay turned~
