Eight photos~

I finished my 4X6 Photo Love (Shimelle's class at 2 Pea's) over the weekend.  I used eight 4X6 photos.  It was kinda of tricky........ but what a treat to get it done!

This the first page a 8X12.  I used 3 Bugs in a Rug pattern paper.  The cardstock is Bazzill/Kraft.  I cut images out of the paper as my embellishments.  I wanted to just use the what came with this set.  I had stickers and the pattern paper.  If you are interested in this sketch you can find it here on Shimelle's blog

I used some Helmar Zapdots also.  Look to the left and you will see that the page protectors are sewed together.  The first one you cut the size of your layout.  In my case that would be a 8X12.  The second is a 12X12.  That keeps the event all together.  Brillant!!!  I even added his scavenger hunt map !!!

The title is on the second layout but it looks like it is on the first page~the 8X12.

It is not to late to join in on this free class sponsored by 2 Peas in a Bucket.   Next month it will be nine 4X6 photos.  I can hardly wait~before the class is over we will do twelve 4X6 photos!!! Hope you enjoyed this and if you are around this Saturday ~meet me here for the 2nd Annual Fisk-a-teer's Orange Blog HopSee ya soon!

Try It Tuesday~making tear drops into snowflakes!

Hi peeps. I had the best time creating this layout with two of my favorite gals!!! The fabulous Robins Nest products were perfect for this project!! I started out with three pictures, that honestly aren't that great but I loved the way the girls were enjoying each other ~ so I wanted to remember them laughing and ready to open presents.

I used Helmar Gemstone glue to adhere the Tear Drops, over the snow flakes on the pattern paper. I used the tear drop shaped and placed the points in the center making it look like a snow flake!! The trim was adhered with Helmar 450 Quick dry { my favorite glue} just so you know, and I used the Helmar Zapdots to raise the acrylic doves {by: Tattered Angels} up off the paper!

This was such a fun project to create and using Helmar and The Robins Nest products they partnered well together.  One more thing~ I got these goodies in the mail the other day from Darkroom Door~not bragging , just sharing some of the products you will be seeing soon on my blog!!!!

Have a fabulous day and i'll
See ya soon!!

Helmar's Glue Caddy Deluxe ~

I'm so excited to share with you my Helmar's glue caddy.  It is so sweet to have all your glue, that you work with, in one place and at my finger tips and did I say "ready to go".  It just doesn't get any better than that.

I gave it a coat of acrylic paint and used Helmar Acid Free to attach my paper ~ I then used Helmar Crackle medium to give it that old distressed look.  This stuff is really fabulous!!

My next step was antiquing it with ink or brown acrylic paint.  Rub it on, a small space at a time, then wipe it off. It will go into the cracks and give that old distressed look.

I painted a thin coat of Helmar's Acrlic Sealer over the glue caddy to protect it from the elements of using it on a day to day basis!!  Just want it to stay pretty!!!

This is my completed glue caddy and I do luv my glue!  A special thank you to Tracy's dad affectionately know as glue daddy  ~ you do fabulous work.  If you would like to order a Glue Caddy Deluxe here is the link to Tracy's Esty shop.  Thanks for stopping by today and I will see ya soon!

I love repurposing things to make them new. I found a old wooden wine crate used to hold one or two bottles of wine for gift giving, it now holds my ephemera for my art journals and canvas. I tore up some old sheet music and mod podged it on the top with a group of girls dancing. Like new!

Ladies email me your snail mail and I will mail out your goodies and thanks to everyone~wish I had a gift for all of you!!!
See ya soon!!!

10 things I re-purposed~

Time for 10-things on the tenth of the month.  You can start the blog hop at Shimelle's blog ~ hope you enjoy!! I am showing you ten things that I re-purposed and had fun doing it!!! So here we go~

an old book~

old lunch box ~ holds some of my crafty supplies.

This wreath has some old numbers my hubby took off of old salvaged telephone poles on our property.

This is a fave of mine~old dishes made into a three tier cutie, to hold scrappy stuff, buttons etc. The top tier is a jello mold from long ago.

Orginal tart pans from Sweeden and very old material ~ made into pin cushions.

Another fave a Chandlier crystal  wrapped with silver wire to make a pendant for a necklace!!

Orginal book cover that had lost it's insides~so I made a journal out of it. The name of the book is "Polly Anna" ~

The cutest little "silver" spoon sewed on this pin cushion to hold extra buttons.

Old enamel lid used to hold a pair of scissors.

The little dish on the bottom is old and adorable. I also used old empty wooden thread spools.
I'm glad you stopped in today~I have such a fun time doing this blog hop with Shimelle. I have some "goodies" to give away {and they are good "goodies"}leave me a comment and follow my blog and your in.  I will pick a winner or two and announce  on Tuesday's {Try It Tuesday} blog post.  I would love to hear what you think of re-purposing old things to make them useful, so you can enjoy things from our past!! See ya soon!!
