Try it Tuesday~Helmar and Lawn Fawn

I thought I was finished with math when I left school, but Helmar has taken me right back to the basics. I am privileged to be a part of Helmar's design team and I was more than thrilled to plug their products as there is nothing on the market that can touch their quality. But then, Helmar partnered with Lawn Fawn  photopolymer clear stamps and can you say wow????? I was blown away when I received Fawn Lawn stamps in my box. Not only are the graphics clear and crisp, they are so unique.  So ~

Helmar + Lawn Fawn =

fabulous amazing fun!!! Lets get started~

I had so much fun doing this layout!!! The sweet little images are from the Swim Suit Season Stamp set by Lawn Fawn.  I used the Helmar Professional Acid Free Glue with a wet paint brush to adhere the images to my layout.  It works great and you get glue only where you want it!!

I made a folder for the journaling.  The tag slips {from under the beach ball} to be read.  I used Bazzill cardstock behind the beautiful pattern paper by Nikki Sivils!!

Here is a close-up of the folder and the fabulous water images!!  I stamped them on the pattern paper and then with my detail scissors cut them out!   I added some machine stitching also~

I was thrilled when I saw the beach ball in the Lawn Fawn set because I knew I had these pictures that would be perfect!! Love it when that happens~

I used Helmar's Zapdots to add dimension to some of the beach ball's.  The pattern paper is by Nikki Sivils~super cute!!!  The dew drops by The Robin's Nest looked so cute on the beach ball's~I adhered with Helmar's Gemstone Glue.

I added some bakers twine and called it good!! When you get a chance ~check out Helmar and the Lawn Fawn web site. Amazing talent over there!!!  Have a wonderful Tuesday and see ya soon!!

Cosmo Cricket on Shimelle's sketch~

Hi everyone~This is a layout I did using a sketch by Shimelle~her sketches really rock. This one is for four photos and then I added the journal box to the top of the photo folder.  The pattern paper is by Cosmo Cricket as is the Gluebers (ric rac flower).  I used Epiphany heart button studio for the center of the flower.  Love those hearts ~so I added a couple more!!!

This is showing a peek of the photo under the folder.  This design is so clever!!! I will be doing this sketch again and again!!!   You can even add a photo on the top, of the folder, and one on the bottom of the folder~adding another photo to the layout for a total of six pictures!!!  If you down size the pictures even more !!

Here is a close~up of the photo folder.  It measures a little less than a 4X6 in size.  Love this design and all the possibilities it brings to a layout!!!  Hope you will check out all of Shimelle's sketches~they are brilliant!!!
have a great weekend and I'll see ya soon!!!

Try it Tuesday~Pocket holder on a layout

I'm hoping my blog post name says it all~this is a continuation of yesterday's blog post.  The pocket holders by KI Memories have so many uses. I showed you how to tie it on a soda pop and fill it with goodies for dad~this post is showing you how great it looks on a layout!!  Perfect place to hold all of those Father's Day cards and original art work~that dad's love to get!!

I used pattern paper by Kaiser and attached the pocket holder to the layout. It comes with adhesive on it so you just peel and stick.  It is a great place to hold those hard to scrap things you want to keep~
If you are local ~the pop bottles and this layout will be on display at Craft Crossing along with all of the many colors of pocket holders. They come in different sizes also.  I'm working on a mini album~I'll get back to you on that.  I think we will need a class for that one~ have a great Tuesday, see ya soon!!!

Pocket holders for Dad~

Happy Monday everyone~I feeling much better and that makes me happy!!!!  Father's Day is just around the corner~ and everyone will be looking for cute ideas that their kids can make for their dad~this is what I came up with~

I found these super cute Pockets by KI at Craft Crossing~My idea on this was to tie the pocket holder to a 3 liter soda, with goodies for dad stuffed in it and some kid art work~ for your awesome dad!! When father's day is over you still have the pocket holder for your scrapbooking page~ to hold the memento's of the day in.  You can also use them for a Graduation gift~tie on a soda and stuff goodies, with a gift card~for the perfect gift.

I did "game night" and "movie night"~game night got a deck of cards, a candy, kid art and photo~movie night got movie tickets ( pretend) giggles tickets, micro-wave popcorn, candy and photo!  You can add hugs and kisses and so much more. Perfect gift for a child to give to their dad!!

The coupon rubber stamp is by Stampin' Up! I used Jenni Bowlin bingo card, Tim Holtz giggle ticket, Epiphany buttons, Helmar's 450 Quick dry  and the KI Memories pocket holders! See ya soon for Try it Tuesday!!!!

Ranch life~

Hi, it's Thursday and I'm still sick but on way to getting better.  This layout is over a year old and holds a place of honor ~ It show cases our first ever pear and.......It is one of eight layouts in The Big Book of Scrapbook Pages.  Very cool!!! The Book is filled of so much inspiration {you know that stuff I always talk about} you will never scratch your head again~  I hope you will check it out!!  I used Basic Grey, Bazzill, Prima, Jenni Bowlin and American Crafts.

Mt style continues to change~and I love that!  Another reason I love this craft~always room to grow!!! This is a favorite of mine because I love Jenni Bowlin products and probably use Jenni in some way or another on every layout I do.

Another fave~I remember getting my new Canon Rebel and hubby and I went all around the ranch and took a picture of every flower we found.  Seeing the flowers in one place, on a layout looks super cool!!! Belmont flowers!!!  I can't tell what pattern paper I used but the sketch is by Cathy Z.  Thanks for stopping by today ~See ya soon!!!!

Try it Tuesday~with gluebers and a *****winner*****

Hi everyone~thanks for stopping in for Try it Tuesday.  Several of you asked how I made the flowers using the gluebers~so I did a few tutorials on them.  This flower uses antique lace.  I started on the outside and went around the glueber~sticking the lace down as I went.  When I got to the center I just clipped the lace and tucked it in the center.

On this one I used flat ribbon and twisted it as I placed it on the glueber.  I started in the center and worked around, twisting the ribbon as I went.  When I ran out of glueber ~ I cut my ribbon and picked the backside of the glueber and tucked the end underneath the flower.

For this one I used gathered trim on both sides. I started going around the glueber on the outside doing a up and down pattern.  I kept doing that ~ when I reached the center I cut the trim and tucked it in the center.
For all the flowers I used Prima flower centers.  So many ideas for what to use for the centers~buttons, rhinestones or plain. I glued the centers in with Helmar's 450 Quick Drying adhesive.

I placed them out on some tags, with some Jenni Bowlin Journal spots to show you how pretty they are!!

Gluebers are manufactured by Cosmo Cricket!! Wish I had thought of these!! These are super fun!!!
and now the***** winner******** from the "Color Combo Blog Hop" is

Epiphany Crafts~one for the team!

Hi everyone~I started this project with one goal in mind~ to make a super cute display piece that would hold my Epiphany Crafts supplies when I demo.  I wanted all of my supplies in front of me and easy access~but cute, that was important.

The supplies I had to work with were six vintage tart pans, a plate {8"}, old spools{2 lrg} and silk ribbon.  As I was working on the design~I thought it would be cool to put a large paper clip in the center of the spool, so I could display my business card~

So this is how I started:
{1} Glue the two thread spools together. I used  Helmar's 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.  When I talk about glue this what I used ~only this glue.
{2} Glue your crocheted flower{needs a hole in the center} to the top of the thread spool.
{3} Wrap your ribbon around the spools{tack with glue}so it doesn't slip and tie a bow~a pretty one!
{4} Put glue on the large paper clip and stick it in the spool hole { on top}
{5}Glue your center piece{spools holding paper clip} to the center of the plate.
{6} I used the back side of my business card and printed out the Epiphany logo and attached to my card~ added one of the EC Star felt flowers~ the center is a EC button round 14.
{7} Glue the tart tins to the plate.
Let all of this dry good and strong.

In the middle of the tied bow, I stuck some homemade stick pins and an EC charm and a EC 14" round bubble cap in the center of the charm.  I used the same paper I lined the tart tins with.

Like I said ~ this one is for the Epiphany Crafts Design Team ~ hope you make one!!!
Have a great monday and I'll see you Tuesday for Try it Tuesday and the winner of some "crafty goodies"  It is not to late~ go here to get scoop on the goodies!!

Color Combo Blog Hop~with a RAK!!!!

Welcome to the Color Combo Blog Hop!!!
If you arrived from http://snapsandsnippets.blogspot.com/ you are in the right place! If you are here and didn’t come from the previous blog, I am listing the hop below my post so you can go start back at the beginning if you wish!

I love the color combo that was picked ~the turquoise and blue with some sand colors, looks awesome together!! This is a gift card~the paper size is about a 4 X 11 1/2. I embossed the cardtsock with a desired image, double matted to get all of the color combos in.

The flower is made with some vintage trim and Gluebers by Cosmo Cricket.  Making those flowers is some serious fun, let me tell you!!!!  The ticket is by Jenni Bowlin and so is the button.

Ric Rack trim makes an awesome flower using the Gluebers as the foundation for the perfect flower!! I also added a little brown paper bag for a gift card.  To close the card I tied bakers twine around several time and tied a bow.  To open the card slip the bakers twine up on the front of the card to close it up slip it back down.  I am including the list of peep's particapating in the Color Combo Blog Hop~

fun for feet~Shimelle's sketch

Hi everyone !!! This is month four of Shimelle's 4 X 6 Photo Love free class over at 2Peas!
This is one of my favorite sketches~I'm sure I won't tire from it.  Such  a clever design!!! I used October Afternoon for my pattern paper and check out that flower.  I made it with ric rack and Gluebers by Cosmo Cricket.  This is one awesome product!! I love trying different trims and ribbons to make the flowers.  The stick pins looks so pretty in them also.  The center is a button glued in with Helmar's 450 Quick Dry.

Here is a close-up of the folder that holds a journal box or a photo.  I have done this sketch twice and have done it both ways.  Very fun to do and it really gets you to thinking ~how many photos can you get on one layout.  At the end of Shimelle's class we will have twelve 4X6 photos on a layout~interesting! Can't wait!!!
Thanks for stopping by and I'll see ya soon!!!

Try it Tuesday~ My second Configuration box

Have you ever tried doing one of these?  This is my second Tim Holtz Configuration Box and it went faster this time around.  This one is my mom's birthday gift~I'm a little late, but she knows it is coming soon........

I made a six step collage showing how I did it ~ hope this helps get you going!!!
{1} pick your papers~just remember the tissue tape covers some of the paper, so keep that in mind.
{2} take the plastic cover off of the TH Configuration box and set it aside~you won't need it until you are ready to seal up the back.
{3} adhere your paper around the edges of your box ~ I used Helmar's Professional Acid free Glue with a wet paint brush and it spreads on great!
{4} do the same thing on the inside boxes and the bottom shelve~you will see it, so you want to cover it with the pattern paper you chose.
{5} your ready to cover the front of the boxes with the Tim Holtz Tissue Tape.  The tape is sticky so you won't need any glue for this. Lay the tissue tape flat on top ~ use your scissors to clip the inside where the boxes meet ~ repeat this until all of the seems are covered.. You can either tear the tape or use scissors.
{6} now the fun part starts~gather all of your bits & pieces and arrange them in your Tim Holtz Configuration Box. When you get it like you want it start with one box at a time and glue your pieces in.  I used Helmar's 450 Quick Dry Glue ~ it set fast and I liked that.

These are the glues I used for this project.  I used the Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots to add dimension when I needed an item up higher. It worked great.  It is silicon so put it where you need it and leave it alone. it takes longer to set up.

As I was working on this I was using my Helmar's 450 Quick Dry alot ~ when I sat it down the glue would run to the bottom and then I would have to turn it over and shake it down ~ so my hubby made me this board with holes in it ~ I place them upside down so the glue is in the applicator ready to go.  When you are done with adhering your bits & pieces in, you are ready to seal the box with tissue tape on the back. Put  the front cover {with the plastic inside the cover} on the box and then seal the seems with the tissue tape.

Here is several different views of the box.  It was so fun to do and to look for your bits & pieces is finding little memories you are saving~I loved that. Some of my bits & pieces mean nothing to anyone but me.

The door knob hardware is by Graphic45, put this on the side of box before you seal it up with tissue tape.  The feet hardware are by Tim Holtz.  The feet come in silver so I painted mine with the gold acrylic paint dabber by Adirondack.  All of the hardware matches by doing that. I glued them on with Helmar's 450 Quick Dry.  Works great!!!

Well I hope you are inspired to try this { and I hope I didn't leave an important step out} and mom Happy belated Birthday~you will have it in your hands soon!!! Thanks for stopping in today~see ya soon!!!
