Try it Tuesday~

Hi everyone~welcome to Try it Tuesday!!  I was going through my scrap box and came across some old Scenic Route paper with these lovely stars!!  It paired perfect with this Pink Paisley paper of a few years back~

The star chipboard piece is by Bazzil Basics and was sprayed with Shimmerz.  I opened the bottle and let some of the paint drip on the star. Love that splat look!!  The sweet little flowers are by Maya Road ~wish I had more of these!! They are the perfect size and colors for many projects~ and my project would be complete without Jenni on it somewhere ~ the round journal spot is by Jenni Bowlin!  Get those scraps out and see what you can make!! You will feel like you got something for free~Thanks for stopping by and I'll see ya soon!

Spring Party~with Helmar and Nikki Sivils!

Hi everyone~today Helmar is partnering with the fabulous Nikki Sivils for the entire week.  I had the opportunity to work with her paper line called "Summer" even though the name of my blog post is Spring Party, here in Texas, Spring is close to Summer so the paper was a good fit!!  I had so many cute pictures, I decided to do a double layout.

The papers are so cute and the images are adorable for children~the papers included a banner, so I took advantage of that!  I traced my lines on the paper and then sewed with floss to get the line that would hold my banner. I attached the banners pieces with Helmar's Zapdots

The heart buttons are by Epiphany Crafts.  The dew drops by The Robin's Nest were adhered with Helmar's gemstone glue.  On the small pieces of pattern paper I used Helmar's Professional Acid Free Glue, with a paint brush, to adhere them to the paper.  A great way to get the glue right where you want it.

I enjoyed working with Nikki Sivils beautiful paper line, it could not have been more perfect for what I was wanting to scrapbook.  On a side note, the Spring Party ended up costing Nini and Grandy about $75.00 ~next time I'm told to bring mayonnaise and turkey sandwich that's what I'm going to do ~ maybe, probably not.  Thanks for stopping by today ~ see ya soon!

The stamp is by Crafty Secrets and Craft Crossing has it ~ tell her I sent you!!

Tag booklet using Darkroom Door Photo Chips~

This is a tag booklet I made while guesting for Darkroom Door. My idea was to give the tag booklet as a gift so the recipient, when needed, could just take a tag off the ring and attach it to the gift ~ quick and easy!

This is the first tag ~it has a pocket for a treat and a place for your sentiment to them!

I'm posting a few of the inside tags~these are made with Darkroom Door's Photo chips~I love using these.  Such a clever and beautiful product!!

Here is another~I used a Prima vine on this, just to add a little sophistication.  All paper products on this is by Darkroom Door.  Thanks for stopping by ~ see ya soon!!!  PS~ I have 4 flower kits made up and the first 4 peeps to email me your addy gets them.  You can see the flower here. Please email ~it is on the side bar of my blog!!

Try it Tuesday~ buttons!!

I love buttons~they are one of my favorite embellishment~the older, the better.  I have a fondness for the old mother -of-pearl buttons.  They absolutely make my heart beat faster!!  I'm always on the look out for new ways to use them~I made a minature flag to put on a wreath and though, hey~why not a card. So here ya go~

I used my scrap box so I have a little of this and that. The paper is by Scenic Route~ the flag part is out of old music paper.  I used Claudine Hellmuth paint and glued it all together with Helmar's Acrylic sealer!!
I coated the area where I was placing the buttons and then put them on.  I went over the covered area with the sealer and let it completly dry for a couple of hours!

Craft Crossing is having a card swap today at 11:00 so this is mine for the swap!! I would love to hear how you use buttons or if you have a fondness for them LOL!!!  Have a great day and see ya soon!!

A couple cute ones~ and a **winner****

Happy Monday everyone~hope you had a fabulous "all about dad weekend"~ I talked to my dad on the phone ~so sweet!!!  Love him so much!! The layouts I'm sharing today were published in Ready, Set, Create a while back~so I thought Iwould share them.
I use this design when I have two pictures to showcase~it is prefect!  The paper on this one is My Mind's Eye and it is several years old.  The vintage feel of the paper is so soothing!!

This one is using some kraft cardstock and some vintage Jenni Bowlin!  I sprayed it with some smooch spritz  by Clearsnap, added some Prima's for a cluster along with the journaling~
I love using Kraft cardstock!!!  *** and the winner*** from Saturday's blog hop is:

Hi everyone~glad you here!!!  These are some super cute book marks made with the Epiphany Shape Studio~ the round 14 and round 25. The paper is by My Mind's Eye~has glitter on it and is super cute!! Perfect to make some sparkly book marks out of.

This one is using the Epiphany Studio round 14 placed in the metal charm. The felt flower is by Epiphany Crafts and is called Mint.

Love this one~I used the round 25 with a round 14 mounted in a metal charm.  The flower is handmade using trim and glubers by Cosmo Cricket.  The corner chipboard pieces are by Bazzill Basics.

On this one I used the 25 round and the 14 round with a charm.  The flower {frayed flower-Cherry} is felt and is by Epiphany Crafts.  These flowers are just a few of what Epiphany has in their line~super cute stuff!!!

Dancing with Helmar and Best Creations~

Hi everyone~This week Helmar is partnering with the fabulous Best Creation Best Creation makes, super cute, pattern papers for the kids in your life.  I just happen to have an aspiring ballerina and the Ballet Princess line, by Best Creation is perfect.  So cute and I love the embossed, glitter images on the paper!  Any little girl would say~I want that sparkle paper!!!

I used my favorite Helmar products to make sure the Prima's stayed in place and the cute polka dot paper adhered to the metal frame.  I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry adhesive for that.  I used Helmar Professional Acid Free Glue on the layout {inside the frame}.

The foundation for the corner cluster is built from the Best Creation journal  shape.  I used  Helmar Zapdots to put between the journal shape and the glass on the frame.  The rhinestones were put on with Helmar Gemstone Glue.

I enjoyed working with the Ballet Princess by Best Creation~
and I'm sure my granddaughter will love this!!!  Thanks for stopping by and see ya soon!!!
