Easy Peasy Spinach Quiche~

Yes, I can cook~but I would rather be Scrapbooking!!!! This is really delicious and we have tons of eggs, so most of the time I have the ingredients~

Spinach Quiche
1 9 inch refrigerated ready pie crust (so one box will make 2 quiche's)
1 tsp flour (all purpose)
1/2 C. grated Monterey Jack and 1/2 C Cheddar mix
5 fresh eggs
2/3 milk
2/3 heavy creme
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp dried dillweed
1~ 10 ounce frozen spinach, thawed, drained well ( I squeeze out liquid with paper towel)
1 onion, chopped small pieces
1 tbsp butter

Preheat oven to 375 ~ dust pie pan with flour and line dish with pie shell.  Sprinkle cheeses over pie shell.  Next prepare spinach mixture with saute onions in butter and place over cheese in pie shell. Next beat eggs ~add salt, pepper, nutmeg and dillweed. Pour over spinach.  bake until filling is set, about 50 min. Cool and serve.

I also like to add other veggies like asparagus and creme cheese is wonderful added in the spinach mixture.  Just play with it ~ so many yummy possibilities!!! I have been super busy scrapboooking, but can't show anything yet but I will have something "way cool" for Try it Tuesday so in the mean time ~ make a quiche!!!
Have a great day!!!!

My configuration box....is done!

I have been at it all day but what a day!!!  I took a picture without the top, of the Tim Holtz configuration box, on so you could see some of the cool "momentos" I have put in my box.  That was the hardest part~finding just the right piece of "special" to go in the small space!  I used Jenni Bowlin paper, Tim Holtz tissue tape and Graphic45 decorative hardware, for the side of the box.  Isn't that stamped domino just the cutest ever!!!
I also painted the box feet with gold acrylic paint dabber by Adirondack.  The hardware was easy to put on once the box was complete.  I used Helmar adhesieve to adhere the feet and decorative knob.  The decorative knob comes with a large brad attatched to the knob to help secure it to the project.
This picture shows the paper on top of the box~I love the oranges, browns, and greens!!!  These products work so well together~Jenni Bowlin, Tim Holtz and Graphic45!!  I'm already thinking about my next configuration box~what about you?   Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful day!!!

Try it Tuesday~Tim Holtz configuration box!!

Have you ever tried a Tim Holtz configuration box?  I did this past weekend at CraftCrossing!!! Our fabulous teacher, Penci got us all started.  It took longer than I thought, to paper the inside and outside with one of my favorite Jenni Bowlin papers, but once that was done then it was time to move on the the taping.  We used the Tim Holtz tissue tape.  This tape is so cool to work with~you just tear it~no scissors needed!!!
These are the "goodies" I have collected to put in mine.  That was half the fun digging around and finding treasures to be housed in my configurations box. I can't wait to get it all fixed~just need some time!!!!
This beautiful piece of hardware, by Graphic45, is going to be mounted on the side of the box.  One of my favorite things is "old, cool hardware"!!!! If you are local CraftCrossing has everything you need to make this and then some!!! I bet you end up making more than one box ~I'm already planning my next one!!!!  I'll post a pic of my finished box soon!   Have a great Tuesday and give this a try!!!

Good stuff~

Well the weekend is almost over ~ I really hate to see it go.  I had a great class at Craft Crossing, met some really cool  people and spent time with some special gals!!!  I'm ready to do it again!!!  I have a couple of layouts to share ~ this one I used G.C.D./Melody Ross, did some fussy cutting from the butterfly paper. I loved the Jenni Bowlin journal rounds on this and the bright buttons added just the right "pop"!!!
On this one I used the same paper pack and added some October Afternoon splashes~the paper matches the G.C.D. Studio so well and how fun to mix manufactures!! The title is from Jillibean Soup and I sewed it on with the machine~so cool, love the look and the threads hanging!! And I can't forget the Jenni Bowlin journal card~love those dots!! The "milk cap" I bought on a junk'n trip.  I'm always on the look out for cool stuff I can put on my scrapbook pages!!  Have a great day and see ya on Tuesday for Try it Tuesday.

Looking out my window~again.......

This is another "looking out my window" layout!! I try to have my camera ready with the correct lens on it so I can shoot from my window in my "scrappy" room.  This little guy lives in that hole in the tree.   I watch him almost everyday collect his nuts and hiding them.  He is very clever.  I used G.C.D. Studio/Melody Ross pattern paper on this with Bazzill cardstock.  I don't think I can scrapbook unless I use some Jenni Bowlin and Prima~love them both!!!!The title is done with Cosmo Cricket.  And I must mention the leaves by Bazzill Basics love using these~ they add so much dimension to your project.  I have a my class at CraftCrossing this weekend and Sunday the NBA Allstar game~looking forward to both!!! Have a great weekend !!

I "heart" birds~pocket cards

Right now this is my favorite stamp set~by Darkroom Door!!  The journal lines on the tag are by Wendy Vecchi~love her stuff too!!!  I'm sure you recognize the bird cage if you don't it is Tim Holtz.  The awesome paper is by G. C.D./Melody Ross.  I bought this at a Scrapbooking Show locally  and boy, wish I had bought more.  Love the birds!!!
Same ingredients except the bird cage is by Darkroom Door.  I used some Jenni Bowlin journal spots on this one and hand cut a felt heart!! I used Ranger inks on both of them.  The netting is an added "treat".  I love how it just makes the project immediately "fun"!!  Thanks for stopping in today and have a great day!!! I have a busy weekend coming up, but a super fun weekend~hope to get lots of work done too!!!!

Try it Tuesday~making felt flowers and hearts

Just having a fun evening "messing" around with felt.  I love to make flowers and Sizzix has some cool dies.  These are rolled flowers and then I put a button in the middle but you could put a pearl or rhinestone also.  I want to do this flower with material~I'll let you know how that turns out.  I made some hearts out of the Spellbinder die and added the button in the middle.  If you have as many buttons as I do you use them when ever you can.  These would also be "super" cute with vintage buttons~I need to try that too.

It is never ending the things you can try or make for your scrapbooking or cards ~ that is why this hobby is so much fun!! You will be seeing these on some cards or layouts soon!!! Have a wonderful day and make a "crafty goody" today!!!

he took the hint....

What a sweetheart~I hinted about a Pandora charm and he went and got it!!! That is super"sweet" as Andrea would say!!!  I know this is a few days early for Valentine's Day but I was anxious to tell the blog world  that my husband presented me with a new charm for my bracelet!!!  I used Jenni Bowlin, K & Co., Prima, and Core'dinations in the layout.  The lettering is American Crafts. I have it documented for sure!!!  Have a great day and see you soon for Try it Tuesday!!!

Try it Tuesday ~ altering a composition notebook.....

This a very fun project ~ give a whole new look to a composition notebook or spiral notebook.  I used Modge Podge ~ but what ever you like to hold your pattern paper to the cover and back cover.  Then comes the fun part ~ ink it up, machine sew or hand sew on it or on embellishments. I machine sewed on the circles and then adhered them to the front cover.  I used  a Teresa Collins book plate, some Prima's, small brads, and just for fun~ the packaging that the Prima's came on!! I dangled a Tim Holtz charm from the bottom of the Prima cardboard.  The best part is the title~ I named it " little thrills", because that is what it is like when I get a high five on a layout and gets published!!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day today!!!!

early Saturday morning~

Good morning!!! Yes, I'm posting this in the wee hours of the morning~had trouble sleeping so decided to update with a couple of layouts!  These were done for a past issue of Ready, Set, Create magazine..  This one is using Bazzill cardstock and the embossed Bazzill (which I love)!!.  The light green cardstock is the embossed~hard to tell but it is so lovely!!!  I covered some chipboard flowers with Jenni Bowlin paper, and the butterfly is by "the gilded bee" an Esty shop!!
This one is using Crate Paper/Restoration and core'dinations cardstock ( frame)!!  The cardstock is Bazzill!  These are some of my favorite photos of Adah with her daddy!!! So sweet~
I'm up over at Project Team Ewan ~ These are projects dedicated to supporting not only CHD but also supporting families who are experiencing the life of a child with special needs. I hope you will take a look and support their efforts!!  Thank You Melissa for having me!!  Have a great weekend ~hopefully it is gonna get warmer!!

A couple of layouts~

I hope you are having a good day~we are, but it is cold!!!  I thought I would show you some more of my past work for Ready, Set, Create .  This is a great magazine, not only scrapbooking, but cards, altered art and digi layouts!!!   On this one I used Jenni Bowlin, Prima, and buttons.  The pumpkins and frame are made from Core'dinations cardstock!! Love that stuff!!
Here is another cute one.  The cute cowgirl is from an Esty shop called Scrap Making Creation.  I had the perfect pictures for this ~ just printed them in black and white.  I used some Chatter Box papers, Jillibean Soup journal box and Cosmo Cricket small letters for the tile.  Very simple layout.  Thanks for stopping by today and stay warm!!

Try it Tuesday ~Coupon book /envelope card......

Hi everyone~glad you stopped by for Try it Tuesday!!!  This a quick gift project and a gift that is fun to make and to receive!!  I started with a 4"x5" envelope, glued down the flap and then cut off 1" on one of the ends.  I embellished the front of the envelope ( which is now the pocket for the coupons) with some k*i /bloom paper (old paper) and added some trims, butterfly's ~I also sewed around the pattern paper for more dimension !!!  I used a Stampin' up! coupon stamp and stamped my coupons out on matching cardstock.  I tied the coupons together with some ribbon!!  These are perfect little gifts and fun to give out to the "little" people in your life!!! Thanks for stopping by and if you have any questions just let me know~have a great  and cold day!!
