Try This Tuesday

What about a book out of cards!!!!  I recently made a book out of some 50th Wedding Anniversary cards for a dear friend and it got me thinking.....Christmas cards, birthday cards etc.!!! I made a cover a little bigger than the biggest card and covered  it ( chipboard)with pattern paper.  I then used my crop-a-dile to punch the holes in the cards.  I had planned on using the rings in the photo but they were not big enough so I used hemp.
This a photo of the inside  of the book.  I laced the cards on with a needle and went through the cards three times to make it nice and strong.  I did add a button as a "stop" so the hemp would not move so much.  This sounds hard but it wasn't at all!!! I hope you will try it.

Here is the finished book.  I added some decorations and don't you love the  metal numbers.  Those are from Making Memories and they were just perfect for this project!!!  Thanks for stopping in today and let me know if you try this!!!

  4. I absolutely LOVE this idea. I have every card from our wedding, Christmas, birthdays, etc. And it would be so fun for the boys too! I'm making the kids a bug book for Christmas with pictures I've taken over the summer. How fun would it be to use this kind of idea as the binding! :)
