Try it Tuesday!!!

Hi everyone~ I thought today we would try a banner or two with Jenni {Bowlin} that is!!!  This banner was made out of the insert that comes with the bingo cards.  The mini bingo cards were perfect to make a "little" banner out of for a "little " guy!!!
Here is another one.  This one is using the numbers from a large bingo card.  The perfect size needed for this project.  The paper I used is Play Date by Jenni Bowlin. I added buttons, primas some doo-dads and there you have it.  I hope will make abanner and remember this Friday is the drawing for the Primas~so leave a comment or become a follower and your names goes in.  If I hear from you everyday, your name will go in that many times!! Have a good one and thanks for stopping in!!!

Try it Tuesday!!!

Good morning!! Try it Tuesday is here.  I loved this pattern paper by Prima but I only had one sheet to play with.  I wanted to hand cut my embellishments out, so in order to do that I cut the middle out of the flower pattern paper.  That is were I got the flowers to cut out.  I added some leaves and pop dotted the flowers. So many times the pattern paper has wonderful embellishments to add to your layout!!!  I hope you will try hand cutting your embellishments out of the pattern paper - even if you have to steal them!!  Have a great day ~ see ya soon!!

Basic Grey/Olivia

I thought this paper pack was perfect for these cute pictures!!!  The colors in Basic Grey's Olivia just screamed me,me, me!!!! Oh how I love it when the paper matches the photos~this is a good example of that.  I used the Fiskars border punches and layered strips under the photos. A favorite technique of mine.
This one is a quick one. I cut out the  scalloped circle die cut shape by tracing a pattern I had on the Olivia paper.  I love these pictures!!!  Everyone having a fun time!!!  Thanks for stopping by and  be "crafty" tomorrow!!!

Black n' white or color

Same photos scrapped two different ways~one of my favorite things to do!!! The pattern paper I used is by The paper Loft. I added some Tim Holtz fun stuff and of course Jenni Bowlin!!

The paper on this one is by Prima!!! The colors on this really make the photo's stand out.  Try printing a set of picture in black and white and then a set in color and scrapbook both sets.  Very fun!!!!

Try This Tuesday

What about a book out of cards!!!!  I recently made a book out of some 50th Wedding Anniversary cards for a dear friend and it got me thinking.....Christmas cards, birthday cards etc.!!! I made a cover a little bigger than the biggest card and covered  it ( chipboard)with pattern paper.  I then used my crop-a-dile to punch the holes in the cards.  I had planned on using the rings in the photo but they were not big enough so I used hemp.
This a photo of the inside  of the book.  I laced the cards on with a needle and went through the cards three times to make it nice and strong.  I did add a button as a "stop" so the hemp would not move so much.  This sounds hard but it wasn't at all!!! I hope you will try it.

Here is the finished book.  I added some decorations and don't you love the  metal numbers.  Those are from Making Memories and they were just perfect for this project!!!  Thanks for stopping in today and let me know if you try this!!!

Fiskateers Orange Blog Hop

Welcome!!!!If you are looking for some "crafty goodness" you have come to the right place.  If you have come from Fiskateer Debbie #352 you are where you should be.  If you have stumbled across our Fiskateer blog hop you can start from the beginning  at  Fiskateer Debby #2852.  Ok,  now that the house keeping is done lets get started.
I love to use Fiskars border punches!! I'm always looking for new ways to incorporate them into my scrapbooking pages.  One fun way is  to layer strips of pattern papers using the different Fiskars punches.  I will  be showing you how to make a frame and layer the punched strips of paper to the frame-making a stand alone frame or add it to layout, as I did.

The first thing is to cut two 1" x 9" and two 1"x 7" . That will make a 6" X 8" frame.  This will hold a 5" x 7" photo.
Overlap the top piece with the side piece to make the mitered corner. Cut in the middle of the two strips. Repeat the process for the other side of the frame.

The next step is punch your strips of paper using the same measurements given for the frame.  You will need 4 punched borders for the top and bottom and 4 punched borders for the sides.  Two borders for each piece of frame.  Use as many different shapes as you have or repeat using one shape. It's all good as Martha would say!!!

This is how your frame should be looking!! Pretty cool, right!!!

The next step is to adhere the strip of punched pattern paper to the chipboard strips that make up your frame.  I used the Terrifically Tacky Tape by Provo Craft but any strong adhesive will work fine.

The next step is securing the corners of the frame. I used the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher. A stapler will work just great also.

The finished frame!!!! If you use it as a stand alone piece -adding flowers or trim would make a beautiful addition.  I added mine to a layout and clustered embellishments on the bottom corner!!!

I hope you enjoyed this!! Leave a comment or become a follower of my blog and I will draw for a RAK on Sunday. Make sure you stop back on Sunday evening to see if you WON!!!  Your next stop or hop is to Fiskateer Johanna #2812!!! Have a great blog hop and thanks for stopping in!!!!cm

Inspired......

I was inspired yesterday by Besty Sammarco's blog . I couldn't wait to try it myself.  I don't have the round , percise rocks that she used but I did have a bunch of these. We grow these in Texas!!! I got my rub-ons out and had the best time.

I used some Claudine Hellmuth paint on  the dark rocks so the rub-on would show up better.  I don't use rub-ons much so this was a fun project to put them to good use. Hope you  will give it a try!!! Friday is the Fisk-a-teer "Orange" Blog Hop-so I hope you will stop by!!

Week 9/ Claudine Hellmuth Class

I can't believe we are going into week 10. It has gone by so fast!!! This week was layering stickers and then painting over them and then peel off for the negative image to be revealed.  I outlined my leaves with a black marker.  I added hemp and an old "vintage" key.  I sprayed with glimmer mist also!!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great "crafty" day.

Photo mats by Martha

I'm cheating again.  These are photo mats from Martha Stewart Crafts!!!  I put a piece of acetate plastic over the opening to protect the photo then just went to town and blinged it out!!!  I used Glimmer Mist on the frame to make it sparkle.

On this one I did the same thing just used different flowers and used half of a Jenni Bowlin butterfly!!  Added some Kaiser pearls and called it good!!

This one the same thing.  The beautiful flower on the right is from Prima - so pretty!!!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!!
