Sassafras Lass/Monstrosity

These are some "kid" cards that I made using up the scraps of Monstrosity.
I left them blank on the inside so I can stamp what ever occasion I need. I added some trim and mini alpha stickers to the front and that's it. Very cute and easy!!!
This one is my favorite at this time. I like how the bursts highlighted the photo. It is cut out of one of the pattern papers in the Monstrosity set.
I put all the the "goofy shots" that weren't used on this one. Showing just how many we took to get a good shot for this years Christmas card. Have a great day today and try to squeeze in some "scrappy time".

Still using Scraps!!!

Still using up scraps. I just love it. You know a stray piece of paper from this pack and one from that pack-makes for a great layout and more space in my paper file. The top layout is from October Afternoon/Night light and the second one is from Scrap Within Reach/cottage line. Hope you are inspired to use up those scraps. Have a great day!!

Card Class

After church today I was invited to go to a card making class -so glad I went!! It was so much fun and nice to visit with friends. The cards below are gift tags made out of gift tags- just enhanced. These two were so fun to make and really spectacular looking!!!
The first one the left is an acrylic card made with a pre- made tag for the embellishment. So cute!!!! The next one is a card made using a tag punch and a pre-made tag.

The first one is a block style card. The second again made with a pre-made tag as the embellishment. The third one had ric rac sewed on and the Santa is cut from wrapping paper. Thank You Annabell and Beth!!! See ya next year!!!

Hi everyone. My name is Connie and I'm on the DT for AC Bailey. I love scrapbooking and all kinds of paper crafts!! My project is a covered journal using A/C duct tape. The tutorial has nine frames, each number will be referring to that frame in the collage picture - so let's get started.

Cast of Characters:
composition notebook or your choice
a/c duct tape (silver - shur tape) hardware store
nail polish remover
photo tape
Staz-on ink /Timber Brown
Tim Holtz/sanding grip
slide frames (9)

Directions:
1. Cut strips of a/c duct tape 2" longer than the size of the notebook. You will need 6 for the front and 6 for the back.
2. Remove the red lettering on the a/c duct tape with the nail polish remover.
3. Lay your first strip of duct tape down on the notebook-over lapping until the entire front and back are covered.
4. Cut the hang over off with scissors and then use sanding grip to sand off the edges-sanding in a downward direction.
5. Use the sanding grip to distress the front of the notebook- pound and hit the notebook with the end of the grip to add marks in a/c duct tape.
6. Apply the Staz-on ink to the front of the notebook-small sections at a time. Rub off with a paper towel. Continue this process on back side also.
7. Cover the slide frames (2" x 2") or cut your own using a die cutting machine. Mine are 2" x 2 1/2". Same process as on the front and back. Ink them and rub off ink with paper towel.
8. Cut you pictures to size and attach to the back of the slide frame and then attach with photo tape to front of notebook. Do all nine frames this way.
9. This is the fun part-embellish to your liking-add buttons, flowers, hearts-pretty stuff and ENJOY!!!!

Glad you stopped by-leave me a comment so you will be eligible for prizes and the next stop is Lisa's blog ! Have a great day!!!!

Scrap within Reach/Elliot

Two of the boys!!!! This paper was perfect for these pictures. I love the "fallish" feel of the paper and the plaids-reminds me of "plaid cotton shirts".
The orange, green, and brown tones are just beautiful and "fallish". I am so ready for fall, cold weather and hot chocolate. Come on over and take at look what AC Bailey has in the store!!! Great stuff. And................

My"Spinner"

I have been working on this project all year. I found out about this from Patter's blog http://triplethescraps.blogspot.com/ . At then end of the year I will have 52 scripture cards for 52 weeks in a year. Every other week she will post a word and you are to put scripture to it and make a card for your 7Gypsies spinner. I will have a beautiful daily bible devotional resource sitting on my desk that I can read anytime.
Another plus is I have used scrap papers to make the scripture cards - so nothing is being wasted. This has been a very "neat project" and have gotten lots of compliments on my spinner. Check our Patter's blog and start you a scripture spinner. Thanks for stopping in!

Scraps!!

I love using up my scrapbooking left overs!! That is what I did today-scrapped my scraps. The "Freaky Friday" challenge over at AC Bailey is using those bits and pieces, so we have room for new stuff. On these two layouts I used some old Crate paper/lemon grass and added embellishments!! Get your scraps out and use them up-then you will be ready for some new stuff.
Thanks for stopping by and have a "scrappy day"!!!

Button Pumpkins

This layout was done for a progressive challenge over at AC Bailey. Each design team member came up with one element to add to a layout. Mine was to make pumpkins out of buttons-so here is my take on that. Some people said my pumpkins were rotten but I think they have a character all their own. I used Bazzill cardstock and Sassafras Lass/Monstosity. This paper pack is so cute and perfect for children. All of the supplys I used can be found at AC Bailey Designs. Hope you try this!!! Have a great day.
