more recipe cards and album front

This is the front of my American Crafts Modern album that I'm using for my recipe cards. You can add any paper you want or leave the blank chipboard look. This is 6x6 top loading album comes with pages. Just what you need to get started!! and of course you can get these albums at AC Bailey-link can be found on the side of my blog.

A couple more recipe cards of our favorite dishes. I wrote side notes around the recipe cards-that remind me of this dish or who gave me the recipe, who's favorite it is. Things like that. Memories!
Hope you get some done and leave me comment. That would be great!! Have a wonderful day!

Recipe cards 6x6

I did these recipe cards a few days ago. I'm doing a 6x6 AC Modern Album.
I have had such a great time doing some of our families favorite dishes on pretty recipe cards for the album. I still have about 20 more to do. I will post them when I get them done so keep checking back for updates. I saw some recipe cards on http://triplethescraps.blogspot.com/ and I really liked them and was inspired to make some.
What a great place to start, with your favorite recipes. Hope this has inspired you to start your own recipe album. Leave me a comment and let me know how you are coming with it. The albums and products used can be seen at http://www.acbaileydesigns.net/?Click=37.

I will post somemore cards and my album cover in a few days. So get started and have a wonderful day!

Spring is in the air

I made these cute flowers using outdated phone book pages. I cut the flowers and phone book page on my "big shot" then adhered to the chip board. Then I cut a smaller flower out of felt for the center and added a button and some hemp, for the tie.
What a great look for a scrapbook page or an altered project or thos bind-it-all ( 4x4) note books. If you don't have a "big shot" you can still make the flowers using some pre-cut chipboard shapes. Great project and very fun and isn't that what it is about " FUN". Have a great day!!!

Encyclopedia of me "J"

Next letter up is "J" for the Encyclopedia of Me challenge over at AC Bailey. My words are jeans ( cause I live in them and love them) and jelly ( cause we have peaches, grapes and dewberries on our property) and thats a lot of jelly making fruits. The birds love the fruits also so its a race to see who can pick the fruit before the birds get it. Its all good - we will share. Hope you are inspired to start an Encyclopedia of Me album. I will post the next letter as soon as I get it. have a great day!!!

Happy Pages

This week I did "happy pages" cause they made me happy. I used the AC everyday girl. I really loved the polka dots and hearts together. Great set for Valentine's day. http://www.acbaileydesigns.net/?Click=37 has it stock.
Go take a look.
These two were done with Sassafrass Lass. I love how they came out. They just make me happy looking at them. AC Bailey has new a new E-Store - you must check it out and come on over to the chat board and say hi. Have a great day.

encylopedia of me "X"/25 randon things

Our new letter for this month is"X". My words are eXercise and X-tra cream, please. I had fun right my thoughts down on these two subjects. I'm very strong opinions on these subjects.
We did this over on AC Bailey - 25 random things about me. I had put the brain power in it so decided the page would go nicely in my Encylopedia of Me album. Very fun project. So glad I'm doing it. Be watching I will post the next letter in a couple of weeks or sooner. Have a great day!!

Valentines galore

Aren't these felt hearts the cutest thing. They look great on scrapbooking layouts or cards or just scatter them around a coffee table for a Valentine decoration. They are very easy to make, just use the big shot and hearts by spellbinder and then sew a button in the center. So fun!!
I have never done a ATC before. My first attempt at them. I had no idea of what I was doing so my next ones should be better. Used those cute felt hearts on them. Hope you are inspired to go make something!! Hope to hear from you soon.

A ( dear ) man!

This was the sketch challenge on AC Bailey for Feb. I used SU paper and vinyl thickers, brads and bazzill card stock. This one was fun because I used a play on words. He is a dear man and a deer man. Hee Hee. I really like doing the sketches - It helps me get more pages done. Find a fun sketch and get to work!! Have a great day!!!

OA Weathervane-more of a "good" thing!

Some more of a "good thing". This paper set is so fun to use and has many uses. These are some more examples of different uses for this paper pack.
These are book markers for your fav magazine or book. The cardstock size is 3 1/2"x 3 1/2". Just fold to get the center of the square and then fold end in to make the point. The inside paper is 2 1/4"x 2 1/4". I used the bazzill chip board corners to make the top of the house. Add the ribbon for the chimmney. These make great little gifts!!

I cut out the shapes ( houses and cars) on this paper and then lined them up at the bottom to make a cute border. I hope you are inspired to try something new. Have a great day!!
